Well run hostel. Great common area with nice kitchen. Spotless bathrooms. Good location. Easy parking on the street. Great value. Nice staff. TV room is comfy. Wide variety of rooms. Stayed here many times and love it! You will not be disappointed! Stay here and save money to do things!

My 14-year-old daughter and I stayed in the Point Loma hostel for 4 nights in October. This is easily one of the nicest hostels I've yet to see. We would gladly return. - Area is beautiful, very close by is a full sized grocery store and some restaurants and bars. It is very quick access to SeaWorld and Mission Bay,...

Thanks so much for your great review. We truly appreciate it. We have approached the church to see if they would rent us parking spots and unfortunately they aren't interested. If anyone has any clout with the church accross the street we would love to strike up a deal to get dedicated parking for guests. One tip for parking: if...

My friend and I stayed at the hostel for three nights in September. Check in was easy and we were given a tour of the hostel which was nice! The ktichen area is very spacious, modern and immaculately clean - excellent! Our double room was small, but just what we needed. My only qualm was that we thought (from hostel...

I stayed at Hi-Point Loma for 14 nights and I experienced the most friendly atmosphere among hostels. The staff were very helpful during my stay and their attitude towards guests was incredible. Fifteen minutes walk will take you to the beach. Supermarket, fast food and Library is two minutes walk. Bicycle rentals available.

We just spent a long weekend here and thought the service was great, the rooms and kitchen were clean, but most of all the staff was helpful and pleasant. We were able to borrow beach stuff two afternoon and head to the beach, which is only a few minutes down the road. It was nice to have breakfast as an...

The hostel is very very comfortable, very nice kitchen, awesome tv room, awesome bedrooms with nice beds. The only thing that could be different is the drinking policy here, you can't drink even a beer or anything.. The location is good if you have a car, ocean beach is a 30 min walking, all the other places you gotta get...

From the Point Loma hostel, which feels tucked away in a neighborhood, you are minutes from downtown, the airport, Ocean Beach, Mission Beach, Sea World, etc. The Hostel patios, the kitchen/dining area, and the living room are inviting, always open, and spacious. Whether aiming to fly solo or mix with fellow travelers, this hostel makes it easy.

I stayed two nights in this hostel. Overall it was good but the one complaint I would have is that the fitted sheets don't fit the mattresses. This seems like a minor thing but they keep coming off during the night which is very, very annoying. Other than that all the facilities were good and the staff were really helpful.

Haha this place is great. I checked in with a grade A fever and cold and stayed that way for 3 out of 4 nights of my stay.
