Perfect location, literally steps from the beach, with an awesome staff! I’m so glad I found this place- they let you use their beach gear for free! We were boogie boarding within minutes of checking in-so easy! The parking was $28 but TOTALLY worth it. The hotel is on a very nice section of the boardwalk in PB North of the pier. Super convenient for beach, restaurants, and people watching. This place is AWESOME!!!

Hotel's Favorite
This is really a great place. It is, of course, perfectly located on the beach with amazing views, a great pool and sauna. It is small enough to be quint and large enough for all the services that are needed. (3 floors of rooms.) The rooms are nicely decorated with modern yet stylish furniture. We loved the planter shutters that slide across the windows for privacy. The staff was extraordinary nice and did everything to get us into our room as soon as possible. (We arrived at 7 am!) They do charge for parking but we were able to find places on the street. The warm afternoon cookies in the lobby added a nice touch. We often ask ourselves if we would return to this hotel. The answer here is unequivocally yes. Finally the off season price was a steal. Consider going in December. The weather is still nice and the price was half of full season.

We have stayed here probably 5 times over the last several years, and it never disappoints. The location is one of the few in San Diego that are right on the beach. We like the full ocean view rooms, and love to spend time on the balcony watching the ocean, as well as the people going by in the boardwalk. The pool area is small, but it is protected from the wind by glass walls, so even when the beach is slightly chilly, the pool area is often warm enough to lounge poolside. They have cruiser bikes to lend - biking down and around Mission Beach is my favorite thing to do! Also beach chairs and umbrellas to use. The only slight negative is that there is a pretty significant homeless population along the beach, but that seems true everywhere in that part of California - and the hotel and the entire area are still very safe and lots of fun! We sometimes consider staying elsewhere when we come to San Diego as we don’t usually stay at the same places, but are always happy that we stayed here and likely won’t stay anywhere else!

This place was amazing from start to finish. They were gracious enough to accommodate us when we decided to upgrade our room to one with a better view. We had planned to visit the San Diego Zoo on the day we were to change rooms, and while we continued with our plans, they moved all our stuff from the old room to the new. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful! The rooms are awesome, comfortable and definitely worth the price i paid. Loved the ability to order drinks and food poolside, although wasn't quite expecting the additional service charge, but the drinks were tasty so still worth it. The hotel is steps from the beach, and secure gates surround the place requiring your room key card to access the property, and parking is underground and also gated, which i felt is a great added reassuring safety factor even though the entire area seems quite safe to start with. There are so many things within walking distance, that if you stay put, you don't even need a car. The list of positives i could say about the place could go on and on. Honestly i could write a novel about how amazing our stay was with Pacific Terrace, but you really just have to try it out for yourself.

Everything about this hotel is perfect! The hotel staff was very accommodating, friendly, and provided great customer service. They were able to offer local dining recommendations for delicious food as well as fulfill any request we needed at the hotel. The hotel location is perfect and very convenient; settled right above the beach with beautiful views. It is also within a few blocks from great local eateries, the boardwalk and a short car ride to downtown to visit places like Little Italy or the gas lamp district. There is no doubt that I will definitely make this a routine vacation spot.
