Because our accommodations were unavailable, we drove around the area for quite a while to find vacancy. We booked a room at the Sunrise Inn only because it was available and not $$$. You get what you pay for. This place is a 1 star at best. Parking lot is limited. Room was very primitive and most of the electric outlets didn't work. People were outside our room at 1 am talking and crying. Dirty and rundown. Can't wait to get out of here and find something decent!
Stayed over a 3 day weekend and loved being close to so many attractions, within 15 minutes of almost everything we wanted to see. Room was clean and front desk staff was so nice and helpful. Just be aware the parking lot always has spots but it is very tiny so larger vehicles be warned.
Stayed one night and could not wait to depart this dissatisfied motel. Never experienced so many broken items such as: missing hairdryer (base was there, broken TV stand (viewing was difficult) broken exhaust fan, bad internet service, etc.
Friday we were dropping a friend off at Hotel around 3pm, (thank goodness we stayed), there was no one at the reception desk, there was a number to call, after texting back and forth the lady text my friend that it was her lunch time and she was due a lunch based on the hrs she had worked. After waiting for over 1hr, I called the hotel we were staying in and was able to get a roll away bed in one of our rooms for her. Thank goodness we didn't just drop her off.
I don't know why the people complaining even bothered going to the hotel. It is EXACTLY as it says. It's so affordable, we were able to stay twice as long as planned, and it's close to the beach! You can't get a better deal.
I stayed while on vacation in October 2020. Enjoyed my stay. Room was spacious and clean! Staff were nice and friendly. There was lots of activities in the area. Everything I needed was in walking distance. Great place, will stay again on my next trip.
I checked in for one night on the 4th floor. The room smelled of cleaning product, which is somewhat comforting but not pleasant to my senses. The bed was incredibly springy so it was not a comfortable sleep. My main concern was safety. Saw some sketchy people hanging around outside then around midnight a random woman was knocking on various hotel doors, including mine. I didn't answer. I heard her knocking around for 15-20 minutes. There's no hotel personnel at that time so I just felt unsafe. I would not return. There are plenty of hotels in the vicinity with better amenities and staff at all hours. The checkout process was a bit annoying too. I HAD to checkout at the front desk to get my $100 deposit returned although they send automatic texts saying you can checkout from your phone...obviously not. Overall, it felt like an overpriced motel experience. Location is good for nearby restaurants. I honestly just didn't feel safe. …
Stay away from this hotel. First off, when we were checking in, the hotel computer wasn’t working and our room wasn’t “cleaned” yet, so we were asked to leave and they would call us when our room was ready. My wife and I went to the restaurant across the street while we waited. Once our room was ready and the computer fixed, which from the start of our check in to when we were able to get into our room was about 45mins, we got the key to the room. The outside of the hotel looks ok, but the room was a nightmare. The shades were torn, the desk chair was ripping and coming apart, the safe didn’t have a lock in it, the room was suppose to be smoke free but smelled of cigarette smoke, walls are thin and can hear everything. This was by far the worst stay at a hotel I’ve ever had. Stay away from here and spend the extra $30 to stay at a cleaner and safer hotel!…
We checked in and checked out. The room we almost stayed in was disgusting and dingy. The wall were dirty, the bathroom had blood splatter on the ceiling, the linens we questionable at best, and there were broken lamps in the room. The only redeemable attribute was that we received a refund for our almost stay.
I’m going to write this review in the most constructive way possible. First of all when checking into a hotel you should not ask your guest if they will be having any visitors, this isn’t Moms house it’s a hotel you’re paying for. Secondly you shouldn’t tell them that you could have gotten a better deal outside of expedia.com for $80 a night, this devalues your business. Thirdly, having cigarette burns, strange brown smears and melted plastic blinds wreaking of cigarettes and rotting foam does not fit the health departments definition of a “non-smoking room.” Being someone that has allergies to cigarette smoke this shouldn’t even be a question. Also this place needs to read its ADA rules in terms of etiquette as there are certain questions you should refrain from asking a disabled person, especially the nature of their disability. This is not only proper business but a good strategy to retain customers especially at a place which is not so pleasing to the eyes cosmetically. If the energy of the small talk was directed at the detail of the ripped leather chairs and filthy chipped cabinetry as well as plumbing then this hotel would live up to what is illustrated in the photographs it advertises on expedia and other travel websites. In addition the parking underneath the structure is very difficult with water leaking and paint falling from the walls and support beams.…
