Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Stayed 5 nights. A nice simple place, not fancy. You want fancy, go to the Hilton & spend $$$$$. This place met our needs. Had the double room which was quite small but when you only need a bed and a shower, it was just fine. May try the king suite the next time. Shower was wonderful. Great pressure and plenty of hot water (this lacks in most hotels). Cable and internet was great. Electrical outlets were minimal. In this day and age with all the electronics, outlets are important for charging. Parking garage was small, maybe enough for 10 vehicles but never had a problem with street parking nor finding a close space to park. Location was great. Lots of places within walking distance to eat or drink. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Never felt unsafe, even coming in after dark. Will stay again on my next trip to San Diego!

It’s in one of my favorite areas. The place isn’t luxurious and you have to use your brain when it comes to appliances. The staff are nice and helpful. Carlos came to my rescue when I lost something. San Diegans are the best!

You don't need to stay at a 'name-brand' hotel when you can find value and all the necessities at Cabrillo Inn & Suites. The owner, Mr. Patel, is a sweetheart and even during a busy weekend at his hotel, would still ask us if he can help with anything. Close to major highways and the airport. On-site and street parking.
We will defiantly stay again when we visit San Diego!

Stay away from this hotel. First off, when we were checking in, the hotel computer wasn’t working and our room wasn’t “cleaned” yet, so we were asked to leave and they would call us when our room was ready. My wife and I went to the restaurant across the street while we waited. Once our room was ready and the computer fixed, which from the start of our check in to when we were able to get into our room was about 45mins, we got the key to the room. The outside of the hotel looks ok, but the room was a nightmare. The shades were torn, the desk chair was ripping and coming apart, the safe didn’t have a lock in it, the room was suppose to be smoke free but smelled of cigarette smoke, walls are thin and can hear everything. This was by far the worst stay at a hotel I’ve ever had. Stay away from here and spend the extra $30 to stay at a cleaner and safer hotel!

Friday we were dropping a friend off at Hotel around 3pm, (thank goodness we stayed), there was no one at the reception desk, there was a number to call, after texting back and forth the lady text my friend that it was her lunch time and she was due a lunch based on the hrs she had worked. After waiting for over 1hr, I called the hotel we were staying in and was able to get a roll away bed in one of our rooms for her. Thank goodness we didn't just drop her off.

Stayed over a 3 day weekend and loved being close to so many attractions, within 15 minutes of almost everything we wanted to see. Room was clean and front desk staff was so nice and helpful. Just be aware the parking lot always has spots but it is very tiny so larger vehicles be warned.

Because our accommodations were unavailable, we drove around the area for quite a while to find vacancy. We booked a room at the Sunrise Inn only because it was available and not $$$. You get what you pay for. This place is a 1 star at best. Parking lot is limited. Room was very primitive and most of the electric outlets didn't work. People were outside our room at 1 am talking and crying. Dirty and rundown. Can't wait to get out of here and find something decent!

This hotel was the absolute most disgusting one I have ever seen! It looked like it had not been maintained at all since the lovely pictures on your site. The floors to the rooms were so worn that you could see the metal mesh below the concrete or whatever they put on top. The rooms looked unmade, the furniture was falling apart, there were no wash cloths, and the curtains were just rags. I was happy I left without bed bugs!!

I’d rather sleep in my car than at this place. The sheets were disgusting with stains and hair all over them. Front desk manager was unaccommodating and rude. We checked in and ended up not staying here because the room was so awful. Incredibly disappointed.

Terrible. We viewed the place online. It was nothing like what was online. Stains, on the box spring. I'm talking large brown and black one. One large brown blanket on the bed with one fitted sheet. Nothing else. Water damage and mold on the ceiling. Dirt, grime. We decided it was not going to work for us. We went down and said we would like a refund. The person at the desk asked why. We said politely it was not up to the standards we were expecting. She got very upset. She said the room was the best they had. When we asked her name she refused. She said she could not process our refund and the manager would call. Still no call. False advertising. Disgusting rooms. Horrible service.
