The Clubhouse Inn is an above-average older property, but it seems that all of the hotels in Topeka are over-rated. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom had been remodeled, and the breakfast was great. That being said, the hallways are looking old, some of the exterior needs some work, and the general appearance is not at the level of the... More

I chose this hotel because it was the #1 rated place to stay in Topeka. While it was nice, it definitely was not a #1. The walls were paper thin. The hallways smelled strongly of chlorine from the pool. The carpeting needs to be replaced. That said, the beds were comfortable, the people were nice and professional, and the breakfast... More

I made my reservation with Derek, confirmed a king size bed, HA!! Called on way to hotel to let them know we would be arriving after 6:00pm. Derek told me not to worry my king size room was ready. Pulled into the parking lot, I am a disabled veteran and I use a mobility scooter First rude customer pulled in... More

This hotel was nice. It didn't appear outdated as far as the style goes, but some things were close to needing replaced. We stayed in the Jacuzzi suite. FYI the tub is only big enough for one person, but it is a nice large tub with jets. The breakfast area and setup was very nice, and the food itself was... More

My husband, toddler and I stayed here recently for a family event. We found the accommodations fair and clean and the suite was spacious with the convenience of a fridge and microwave to store and heat our son's food. However, I am mainly writing about what happened AFTER our stay. I forgetfully left a fully -loaded cooler in the fridge... More

Very welcome at check in. Even had an evening reception going that included one drink and snacks. Room was very nice and quiet with comfortable beds. The one drawback was no elevator but it was only one floor up, but being elderly, it made it a little difficult. Numerous restaurants and shopping nearby but since we only stayed one night,... More

The price was very reasonable for the suite we had, with a king size bed in a separate bedroom and a living room with a pullout sofa for our son. Breakfast was very good both mornings. And of course it is on the Wannamaker corridor near a lot of restaurants and shopping. It is also easy to access from the... More

We have enjoyed staying at the Topeka Clubhouse in the past. But as of our most recent stay, the bad overwhelms the good. What we DID NOT like: The hotel has become rundown and shoddy. I don't mean it just needs a refreshing. It needs a total overhaul! The carpet in our first-floor room was worn out in heavily used... More

Love to stay here at Clubhouse Inn when I come home to visit my family. Very comfortable new beds, lots of pillows and excellent "customer first care". Bev the bartender and Leslie make you feel welcome every time! Never disappointed when I stay here!

The hotel was very nice - a lot like Fairfield Inns or Holiday Inn Expresses, where we frequently stay. The breakfast was similar to those served at other properties but I must say it tasted better - the eggs actually had flavor and the coffee was excellent. It was conveniently located but not charmingly located - there were several other... More
