If you can overlook dings in the furniture and sloppy caulk around the tub shower, you will feel as we do- it’s an excellent bargain. The front desk clerk was so helpful and kind. The room smells and is very clean, with new floors that are obviously mopped carefully. The sheets are very clean and smell great, as are the towels ( the towels are old but clean). Parking was easy in front of our door, and we especially would recommend this place for Seniors as it’s quiet, easy and very affordable.

Room Tip: Ice is easy and there is a Spartan breakfast, but the coffee is good.

879 Mississippi Drive in Tupelo. Just passing through from Wisconsin to Florida. Quality Inn allows pets and I have a 30# dog. ($20 xtra) Room was ok..older. Seemed clean however their was a strong odor of (I think) bug spray. I had a sleeping pad for my dog so she didn't need to lay on the floor. This motel served a buffet DINNER, too. Simple, but it was good and I didn't need to go out again. The staff was very pleasant. I had a first floor, quiet room and got some sleep. January 2020...no pandemic restrictions yet!

We called the phone number on the website. Booked 2 rooms and told hem we had dogs. Paid online. When we arrived the staff member argued with Us that we didn’t have the rooms we stated we booked. We showed her the email confirmation. She said that we booked through a third party and that they mid-booked us. It took us 10 minutes of explaining to her we booked through econolodge and then we finally just got the rooms that they had close to each other. the employee then argued that we didn’t pay for our dogs. We showed her the confirmation email again and still She said we had to pay for the dogs. we were so tired that we just agreed to. She gave us the keys and had us sign. We left the office to get our kids and walk our dogs. Then her husband came out and yelled at mY wife, who was in the van, “you need to come with me inside.” Thinking Something was wronG, she went inside. They yelled at her that we were trying to sneak dogs in without paying. She showed her the email confirmation again and re-iterated that we told his wife we had dogs. Then they argued about it. During all this the son, who claimed to be the owner, went in the back and secretly called the police. After listening to them for 10 minutes about that we lied we asked to cancel the reservation. While waiting for the son To cancel it, the police showed up. 3 of Tupelo’s finest!!! Apparently this hotel doesn’t like to be shown they made a mistake and that customers won’t tolerate hotels that treat people terribly. So just before midnight we had to take our kids back out of the hotel room, which they said smelled like cigarettes, and had to look for another hotel. La Quinta inn is a couple miles up the road and is pet friendly, and they don’t charge for pets. Stay away from this sub-par hotel. This is another example of hotel owners that think they can do whatever they want to make money off people. Extremely rude employees and the owner Dee Patel (the son) that called the police.

I prefer staying here when I have to work in Tupelo overnight. The rooms are clean, there is complimentary coffee in the room, and the breakfast is good. The dining area is very nice. The older couple who run the night shift are sweethearts.

I'm pretty simple.. I prefer the rooms close to my car, 1st floor, secure safe area, free wifi, simple breakfast to get me going, quite, comfortable bed, no insects and ice close to the room.. Good coffee in the room is a plus and a pleasant reception makes or breaks a stay... This hotel excels on all of those things. The flooring through out is brand new and really nice.. I'd love to have it in my own home. The parking lot and grounds are kept exceptionally clean.. Breakfast had a pleasant host.. we had sausage biscuit, shared a waffle and I also enjoyed some instant cheddar grits... great way to start the day.. I will stay again, probably in May..

We had driven in rain most of the afternoon. We picked up a hotel/motel book at a welcome center and noticed this Econo Lodge in Tupelo. I have to admit it was not just off the highway, but was a rare find. Room was nice and the shower was great. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was just OK. Bit all in all a good value.

On the approach, I was pleasantly surprised to see the the way it looked from the outside. It was rather late but the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Some folks dont like the outside doors, but I am very fond of the convenience. I backed my car right up to the door, very convenient. I have seen complaints on the pillows and beds but they were ok and frankly, we normally bring our own but forgot them. I would suggest if someone normally stays at econos... bring pillows.. We had an issue, but again the staff was very accommodating and we worked through the problem. Breakfast was surprisingly filling neat and extremely clean We had sausage biscuits and shared a waffle.. The Mrs Butterworths and cream cheese was a winner imo.. The apple juice was apple juice and orange juice was orange juice as well. There was another couple that ate early as well.. The young lady was cleaning immediately after we got our food.. No bad crowd at night.. it was nice and quiet We slept very well and I appreciate the staff. I

After driving all day we just wanted a good night's sleep, but couldn't find a room for all five of us, so settled on tow rooms at this place. BAAAAAAAD move. Got to one of our rooms and it looked like a leftover from the 70s. Bedspreads were grungy and had cigarette burns in them. Pillows were half-sized, lumpy and hard. Air conditioner should have been replaced ages ago and the filter was nasty. I wouldn't even set foot in the tub. And I was scared of the carpet. Two of our kids were to stay in the second room. We approached to an already open door, the smell of cigarettes, lights on and pillows piled in the middle of the bed, smoke detector dangling and no batteries. We backed right out of there and headed to the front desk where we were given a new room right next to our other room (after being told there were no vacant rooms next to each other.) The bedspreads in this room appeared newer, but things were still sketchy. The air in this room worked well, but the TV only showed snow. The TV in the other room was unfortunately turned on by our 11 yr old who was introduced to porn for a brief second. Fortunately my husband was right there and got rid of it before my son had a clue he'd seen anything. Our air conditioner never really cooled things off, which wasn't a total loss as I didn't really want the covers touching me anyway. This was really disappointing as we had stayed here years ago when it was a Jameson Inn and it was quite nice. Never again!
