This is an older hotel with charm. The staff is nice and the place is very clean. Our family reserved two bedrooms. It was a bit like an apartment with a small hallway and shared bath. Our room overlooked Fenway Park. It was half a block from the Greenline subway. Lots of food options nearby. The few negatives that I...

The Buckminster experience was good overall. The pros: great location if you're catching a Redsox game at Fenway; clean hotel; close proximity to the T at Kenmore Square and BU. The cons: older hotel; only one electrical outlet in the room, so there was one small lamp to illuminate the entire room at night; safe did not work and was...

Hotel is clean and convenient and relatively affordable, but crowds during Red Sox games are an issue and their hot water system needs updating. I have stayed there before and not had this issue so it might be a peculiarity of this room's plumbing.

We appreciate you being a repeat customer and apologize for the problem that you had with the hot water. We did have some recent issues with our hot water delivery system and have taken corrective action. Thank you for the feedback.

Hotel Buckminster is a great hotel in a great location! It's very close to Fenway, restaurants and shops. Walking distance to public transportation. The room was very clean and roomy for a group of friends. The restaurant on site is great if you don't want to go out.

My reservation from 4 months previous was cancelled by the hotel on the morning of the arrival and we had no room when we arrived that evening to check in. The biggest issue was the lack of help or apologies from the assistant manager as we scrambled for accommodation at inflated prices. The more junior member of staff a girl...

The hotel is an older hotel but clean--not fancy but I wasn't looking for anything fancy. I was visiting my granddaughter who is a college student. The hotel is close to Boston University and the subway. The rooms were clean and the staff very friendly. My daughter stayed at the hotel across the street and paid three times of what...

This is my family's new favorite hotel! We stayed here on a whim because our usual hotel was booked for our last night. Now we want to stay here every time! The location could not be more perfect. We could see Fenway from our room! It's a 3 minute walk to the T and there are restaurants everywhere. There's even...

We stayed here for a weekend in June to go the Red Sox game and do some sightseeing. The rooms are clean, the staff was helpful and responsive. The restaurant left a little to be desired (slow service, menu items not available) and the valet people in the garage damaged my car, but overall it was a very nice weekend.

Staff was rude at check-in in June 2016. Staff also was rude later on that same evening when hotel quest asked questions regarding hotel services; taxi’s and check-out receipts/policies. I would not recommend this hotel to friends in the future.

The hotel itself is great, and the proximity to Fenway Park can't be beat. The restaurant within the hotel, however, is terrible. Even with the vouchers given by the hotel, the Fenmore is overpriced for less than average food and service. We were there on a Thursday morning around 9:45, ordered breakfast (a quesadilla and an egg sandwich), and were...

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
