This is a fine hotel to explore Boston. Location is within walking distance of the highlights and if you don't like walking, there is a subway station nearby. We stayed in room 515, witch has a view over Fenway park. It is a spacious room with a large kingbed, a sittingerea and bathroom. The room/hotel feels a bit worn out,... More

Hotel with very limited amenities. If you are on wheelchair, don't come to this hotel. If you are coming to drop your kids to university, don't come here. The hotel does not have a ramp for luggage. An old elevator that has lived it's life to the fullest. Doesn't even fit a luggage trolley. Unfriendly staff never helps if have... More

The Hotel Buckminster was a pleasant surprise. The Hotel is located less than 500 feet from Fenway Park. It is across from Boston University, as well as being within shouting distance of the Kenmore T-Line station. The staff was professional and helpful. The onsite restaurant had a nice offering of meals, and appetizers, as well as am amply stocked bar. Very... More

I rented a room at the Buckminster for my husband, step daughter and her friend, to stay at while my step daughter and her friend attended Pax East (it's like comicon for gamers.) We were supposed to check in Friday night and stay the weekend. The week before our trip my best friend's mom passed away (and when I say... More

It is a great place to stay when you are going to the Fenway Park to see a baseball game of the Red Sox. Location is excellent, accommodation is good. Also the historical facts of the hotel is for a baseball lover something special.

We were attending the two Pearl Jam shows at Fenway and wanted to stay in a hotel close by. The location of the Buckminster could not have been better. I had requested early arrival and was so happy that our room was ready when we arrived at 11a.m. The building is older, but has lots of charm. Bathroom is small,... More

You will not get a better hotel with amazing staff such as a young lady my husband and myself met. Ms Ny'Cole was AMAZING!!! From the time we entered the restaurant, until the time we exited we endured such great conversation. She has a beautiful smile that lightens up the room. Also she is high spirited we could've asked for... More

A+Location, reasonably priced, super short walk to Fenway, outstanding staff and comfortable clean room. Not 5 star BUT one night out to see a game should not require spending your whole pay check and this is our new go to place. Historic building with the possibility of a view of Fenway! Parking garage next door ($35), a clean restaurant w... More

I was very dissatisfied. Only happy with the location. We went to a concert at Fenway so it was good for that. We got a suite.... Yeah right! No room service. No coffee maker in room... No continental breakfast... Not even any coffee! We are not picky people and we are easily pleased but it was WAY too much money... More

I was a little weary on what to expect after some of the reviews. This hotel was perfect for a concert at fenway. Close to the T, restaurants, nightlife and more importantly fenway. For those that reviewed the hotel needed updating, well yeah. It's boston and the building is old but in good shape. Rooms were clean and spacious enough... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
