Yes, the location is great. But you do get what you pay for:shabby furniture, not very clean bathroom (someone elses hair and whatever visible in the corners; a bed so uncomfortable--soft and lumpy--that I literally pulled the bedding off and slept on the floor. Also, avoid the breakfast at the Grille -- eggs were OK but croissant was inedible. AND...

I read the TA reviews carefully before booking this property, and it turned out to be exactly what I expected. An older building that was likely an apartment building at one time. Nice front desk staff. Odd hallway configuration to find the tiny elevator, and similarly odd hallway on the 5th floor, where my room was located. Room was basic,...

The hotel offered a bargain price, and I took the gamble. Reception and staff were very welcoming. Room is basic and a bit shabby. Location is very good, easy 15 min walk to the Hayes Convention center.

Very comfortable and distinctive hotel in a fantastic location. The Staff was most attentive, particularly Steven, who went far above and beyond. As a woman travelling alone for business I would stay here again and again.

The only positive about this property is the location. It's an old hotel with pathetic management and rude staff members. 1) The rooms are dim and the lighting is poor. 2) They don't even have electric wall sockets near the desk. It is awkward when you have to plug your phone away from your bedside at night. 3) The staff...

I think the title says it all - when we checked in we upgraded to a King suite and what a brilliant decision that was. The suite was very large, furniture comfy and room heating was spot on. As we didn't have a car the location, extremely close to a T stop, was perfect and there is plenty to see...

We choose this hotel even though we are not a baseball fan, and here is the reason: 1. Close to severals education institute, a lot of youngsters and relatively safe to walk even during the night time. 2. A lot of restaurants to pick 3. Super close to subway The room at the hotel is outdated, but we don't really...

I've been to Boston numerous times but never stayed here. It was a last minute trip and this was a reasonably priced hotel so we booked it. To my surprise it was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in - such character and elegance of old time Boston. The high ceilings with the pipes running through only added to...

This place was exotic to me, being from the South. It's an older building with winding hallways and mysterious doorways. The front staff is outstanding. I love them to bits and pieces. The directions I received were that the parking garage is across from it. It's not. It's on the same side of the street about one block down. This...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel when we went to Boston for a Jays/Red Sox game! It is literally a stones throw from the stadium...we could see it from our room. It had so much character and the rooms were not like standard hotel rooms...they all looked a little different. The restaurant in the hotel was DELISH!!! We...

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
