This hotel was a disgrace. Proposed to my girlfriend, asked them to help make room special and they said no and that "I should have done my research better". It was grubby, run down and def not clean. Also, rate included breakfast when booked. Week later received an email that breakfast was removed but rate remained the same. They cut... More

This Hotel was wonderful. It is literally steps away from Fenway Park which was the reason for our trip. The front desk employees were extremely helpful & curtious along with the rest of the staff. Lots of restaurants and nightlife within walking distance. My room was a little outdated but it is a very old hotel, no complaints.

I enjoyed being close to the ball park, however the room and the service we received for what we paid did not match. The parking was there but you better be good at parking as this is not a regular parking lot I checked on my car each day.

There was absolutely no hot water, not even lukewarm. Not able to take 1 shower during our stay! Refrigerator didn't work. No coffee pot in room, not even a complimentary cup in the a.m. in the lobby.

The hotel is located centrally which is a great plus. However, service (reception, restaurant) is unfriendly and the hotel itself is in very bad condition. Never ever a 4 star hotel. Rooms have not been renovated in a long time, bathrooms are dirty, a lot of things are broken (lights, AC) and doors didn't close properly. Overall quality is really... More

Stayed here when moving my son up to college at BU. Needed a suite that could hold 5 people, and it was close to BU so that's why we chose this hotel. Pros: Beds were comfortable Had parking area that could accommodate large truck/suv Restaurant/Bar attached that was OK - Bar staff were extremely friendly and attentive Location to BU... More

We've stayed at the hotel before and there are good rooms and beds, but bathrooms are very small and there is only a small shelf to place toiletries. They also didn't have s separate mirror so everyone has to do their hair and make up in the bathroom which is very cumbersome. The restaurant is very good and they give... More

Proximity to Fenway was awesome. Hotel was disappointing. No hot water. Parking charges outrageous for hotel guests. Staying further away will be our choice next time. Fact that the hotel is historic does not negate the high pricing.

A beautiful hotel from the inside and outside. A real piece of history and 'real' Boston. About 120 years old with great character in the lobby. Didn't disappoint, nice and clean room, really helpful staff, a really nice restaurant with great beer. It was pretty much the smallest room in the hotel but was bigger than most premier inn's or... Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
