We stayed for two nights in Boston on July 3 and 4th. The hotel was very easy to find off the highway. Very nice staff, even called a great little bakery for me to make sure it was open on the holiday. The rooms were different that the usual bland hotel room, with a wonderful old brick wall behind the...

Arrived early in the morning and were greated with "you are early". No welcome to Boston, your room will be available after xxx and here is a book/brochure on things close to here. After spending almost a week at the hotel found a the front desk staff an area for improvement. Pros: Perfect location and reasonalbe price. Nice sized room,...

This is located very conveniently close to the bay and Qunicy market. The T stops right by at the aquarium. Rooms were a good size with a huge bathroom. Well stocked toiletries and spares. No view from room as looked into central atrium. Little bit dark but then its just a place to sleep so that works ok. You can...

Our Queen city view room for three nights in May was a great choice. The room itself was well appointed, quiet, light and bright, had a comfortable bed, good sized table and chairs and was all well maintained. The fridge was very handy but we agree that in-room coffee making would be welcome. The lobby renovations were in progress when...

We stayed for 3 nights in a big room on a high floor with a nice view. After circling around once, we managed to park right outside the hotel for 15 minutes while checking in and taking our luggage to the room. The room had quiet ducted air-conditioning. We didn’t notice much outside noise. The room was big and modern...

True, there was no coffee maker, but that was all the room lacked and the location and price made up for it. We walked everywhere and used the T which was very convenient. The room was minimalist, but charming and very comfortable. We found the staff to be very helpful. We would definitely return.

We recently stayed at this hotel and were surprised by the total lack of service and very ordinary room. There were no coffee making facilities or mini bar in the room, although you could get coffee from an urn in the lobby. The lobby was undergoing renovations as was the basement during our stay. We had stayed in a luxury...

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Harborside Inn and it was beyond our expectation. The room was updated, clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Woke up every morning refreshed. The pillows and bed are important to us. The location; everything we needed was there; the train, breakfast at Nuncio's right next door, the convenient store in...

Can't fault this hotel. Great location for the subway, harbour and nearby shops and bars. Wifi in the room plus a very useful guide to Boston which we took out and used daily. Nunzios next door does a great breakfast. 24 hour shop the other side. Room had everything we needed.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
