This hotel is in a super location next to the aquarium, harbor, duck tours, Rose Kennedy Greenway. The room rates are reasonable, the staff very accommodating. The only drawback, they charge for coffee in the morning. Even the budget hotels we stay in offer free coffee, if not a breakfast. I think free coffee is a standard, nice touch, especially if... I just discovered this place. It is a steal in the off season. Fun area to go for a night out with friends. We walked to the improv asylum and to Bye Bye liver, drinking show at a bar a few blocks away. Lots of night life in the area. Good bfast at the place across the street. and if... More

This is a beautiful boutique hotel with stylish decor and a nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and a DJ on the weekends. They had great customer service and hotel is conveniently located by the Harbor in North End. We will return!

The hotel is a bit of a disappointment. No coffee maker in the room. Nothing has been updated since 2000. There are DVD players in the rooms. My TV and alarm clock didn't work. They give you very few amenities - no conditioner and one bar of soap and suggest you go next door to a convenience shop to buy... More

Great staff, clean rooms, perfect location and a fabulous in-house bar make this a wonderful stopping place in Boston. Literally across the street from the Faneuil Hall market and just around the corner from the aquarium. Easy walking to almost all Boston attractions and fine dining.

Not only were the front desk staff friendly and helpful, but the room was a delight. Red brick walls and a great view. Plus the location is close to Quincy Market and the Black Rose Tavern. There is a cocktail lounge an a business center on the first floor that look wonderful, though we did not have a chance to... More

We stayed here overnight and found the hotel to in the best location possible for the best of Boston. Hotel staff are friendly and happy to accommodate your requests. Room is spacious and clean. No breakfast on site but 1 block over is the start of Quincy's market where you can get whatever you heart desires for breakfast. Close to... More

The Harborside Inn is in a great location, walking distance to the New England Aquarium, Faneuil Hall, the harbor and many fine restaurants. Our room (4th floor City view) was clean and comfortable. Check out time was 12 noon which allowed us to walk around in the morning before departing for the Boston Logan airport which was only a 15... More

We were looking for something close to the harbor and near the market, and this was a great place. The hotel is really cool with exposed brick walls inside the room, nice bathrooms, and comfy beds. We really enjoyed our stay here.

This place is right in the middle of everything great location .We stayed in the cabin room which is in the basement so no sunshine no noisy Street you just get to sleep. This is definitely great Hotel for people that want to have a good time in Boston. Very upbeat staff and the bartenders were wonderful.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
