A lovely modern hotel, centrally located in the historic Beacon Hill neighborhood, XV Beacon is a perfect place to stay while visiting Boston.
The birthplace of the American Revolution, Boston is brimming with history—and the cobble-stone streets of the Beacon Hill neighborhood. Walking distance to numerous historical landmarks and museums, XV Beacon is right next to the Boston Commons and the Massachusetts statehouse and across the street from the Boston Atheneum. It’s also just down the street from the favorite as-seen-on-TV bar—Cheers!

The rooms at XV Boston include elegant furnishings with dark wood accents that give the accommodations the stately feel of a guest room at an old Beacon Hill mansion. Each room includes a fireplace that adds to the ambience and warmth. One amenity that we particularly enjoyed was the selection of bath salts offered for a relaxing bathtub soak.

The XV Beacon is distinguished by its exceptionally polite and helpful staff. We were greeted by friendly doormen and bellmen and assisted by the efficient front desk staff. The superstar concierge team led by David introduced us to the best nightlife spots in the South End, helped us find stores in the Back Bay for our shopping needs, and guided us to secret underground speakeasies. A standout for the hotel is the private driver service—Mark quickly and safely navigated the streets of Boston through rain and traffic to get us to everywhere we needed to go.
The hotel is above a popular steakhouse Mooo…. where you can enjoy a wonderful dinner or a drink at the bar. There are plenty of restaurants and small shops within walking distance from XV Beacon that you can also enjoy. We highly recommend a stay at this gorgeous hotel and a visit to lovely Boston!

I had the pleasure to stay at XV Beacon in early November 2022, in town for a public health conference. This boutique hotel is elegant and quiet, tucked on Beacon St away from the main hustle/bustle of the park but close enough to walk to the North end and all the historic sites. Just three blocks from the metro.
There were only six rooms on my floor so it was very quiet. I loved having the fireplace in my room. Bed was comfortable, bathroom of marble. The antique elevators gave it a Parisian feel. They also offer very personable drivers to take you to museums or restaurants. Just exquisite service! This is an elegant place to stay and I highly recommend it. I will stay here every time I'm in Boston!

This gem is located steps from the Boston Common and from the moment we arrived we were treated to service above and beyond our expectations. Doormen await to assist with our luggage and car park. The front desk employees could not have been nicer in the most genuine way, authentic and not forced.

Our room was beautiful as always and as clean and comfortable as you would expect from a 5 star hotel. From the Italian tiled rain forrest shower to the espresso machine and a lovely warm bed, we couldn't have asked for more!

An exceptional dining room awaited us and though a busy Friday night the attention to detailed service was equaled by outstanding food at the restaurant Mooo, appetizers, entrees, and desert were over the top. An elegant dining room that was clearly popular, this was the crowning jewel of our stay.

We can't recommend XV Beacon any more for the discerning visitors to the greatest city in the world!

Our stay at the Beacon XV was wonderful. The hotel is very conveniently located close to the Amtrak South Station (and the Silver Line stop from the airport), Boston Commons, and Faneuil Hall. At the same time, it is on a relatively quiet street.

The beds are comfortable, the staff welcoming (always a doorman to open doors for us), and the rooms clean and comfortable. The housekeeping even added little cord tamers for all our recharging cords! Our particular room suffered from a leaky shower, but the front desk is very responsive. One of the kids left behind a charger and housekeeping and front desk were able to find it and return it to us even beyond normal hours! I would recommend this hotel and stay again when we're in Boston.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel, and we found our stay there exceptional in every way. The property is lovely, and we found our executive classic room to be very spacious and comfortable. The location of the hotel couldn't be better: it's very close to the Freedom Trail, and the Beacon Hill neighborhood is truly beautiful, which made strolling the nearby streets a delightful experience.

The entire staff is wonderful. Each and every staff member was very professional, kind and helpful at all times, and we felt very welcome at all times. We used the house car service 5 times, 3 of which to take us to dinner. Mark, the evening driver, not only drove us to our restaurants, but served as a fascinating tour guide. A special thanks to David, the concierge, who gave us great dinner recommendations.

I highly recommend XV Beacon to those who are looking for a lovely, boutique hotel that provides excellent service.

Don't spend hours looking at hotels if you are visiting this area, just book this place! It was truly a wonderful experience every step of the way. This is old school service with modern amenities. Jeffrey and Myriam will greet you with a smile and take care of any questions you have. We were in a Contemporary Classic room and it was very spacious. First room I've ever seen with a Harman Kardon player and a fireplace! Small details that really make a difference - towel warmer, umbrella in the closet, doorbell to the room.

It is a great location - you can walk for shopping, Chinatown, the park, etc and if you want something within 2 miles, you can schedule a house car to take you! The drivers are so courteous and helpful - they have a lot of knowledge of the area and are happy to give suggestions. Trips are on the house except there is a $40 fee to the airport. Make reservations as early as you can so you can get your preferred time.

There is a steakhouse attached that we didn't have time to go to but we did order room service from them. This is the first hotel since lockdown that room service was available and it was very convenient.

Can't wait to come back to town and stay here!

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
I have been to many large hotels and countries and The Beacon XV comes first.

This is a smaller boutique hotel. All the staff are polite and helpful. There is a restaurant attached called Mooo. Very good.

So how does this hotel excel?

I stayed in their basic room and the room was large. There is a gorgeous gas fireplace. The attention to detail is superb. I left some of my phone chargers out and when I can back they had tied the cables and tidied the area. Amazing!

I had an aromatherapy shower steamer each morning and they were so good, I’ve bought some for my home. Oh and the shower has a seat, this was perfect for me due to back issues. The shower is amazing!

Each night my slippers were laid out for me and the items I left on the side in the bathroom, when I returned to my room were under linen and neatly organised.

Honestly, I have never stayed in such a perfect hotel. Oh and their courtesy car. We used it 4 times. They will drop you anywhere within a 2 mile radius.

If you are in Boston, stay here. I will when I return.

Thank you to all the staff at the hotel.

If you're in Boston and are looking for impeccable service, comfort and convenience this is THE place to stay!.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Beacon. The moment we drove up, we were greeted by professional and helpful staff. From the valet to doormen, front desk and especially the noteworthy concierge, David. He happily helped us with dinner recommendations and reservations both nights of our stay. He also guided us on how to best see the city and with transportation. The hotel offers complimentary car service if your destination is within 2 miles, which was extremely helpful. The location is prime and within walking distance of Freedom trail, trolley tours, restaurants and landmarks.
The room was STUNNING and beyond comfortable. The bedding was cozy and the bathroom lovely, with marble shower and notable fixtures from Leroy Brooks. Amenities in the room included mini bar, stereo system, fireplace and of course T.V.
We also enjoyed room service one morning which came complete with white table cloth and cloches.
I've stayed in a number of hotels on the East Coast over the past 2 years and have to say this was my FAVORITE. The service, class and amenities should be the standard for all else to go by!
It will be my go to destination anytime I am in Boston!

I recently was in Boston for business and was told by a friend who lives in Boston to try XV Beacon! Wow! What a gem of a property. The staff were all so friendly and it feels as though you are stepping into a house with the small lobby with a fireplace and each room having a doorbell. And the elevators are really cool as they are old school! The hotel also has a really cool rooftop deck with fantastic views of the Back Bay and Cambridge. And the restaurant that is connected to the hotel, Mooo, serves fantastic food and has an expansive wine list. Centrally located so you can drop down into the Back Bay or to the waterfront in 10 minutes by foot. I would highly recommend XV Beacon the next time you are visiting Boston!

XV does not quite deserve to be a top hotel in Boston… Especially with its high price point. XV Beacon is a pretty lovely small hotel with Some friendly service. But it is not a Five-star standard compared to other luxury Boston hotels.

The room is ok with no view due to its height, and the housekeeping is fantastic. House car is very convenient with discreet service. The hotel restaurant, Mooo... It has excellent food as well.

We typically do not expect benefits from the hotels; however, if a hotel like XV claim to be top and charges a premium price, then we have some basic expectations. We spoke with the hotel where we would be celebrating a graduation, and they said they would make something special to make a stay memorable, but they provided nothing during the stay. XV does not deliver benefits for iPrefer elite. We were told by the iPrefer program that our rate is eligible to get the full benefit as we booked direct. The hotel is far from complete during our stay. The front desk said XV does not deliver benefits like dining credit, welcome amenities, or upgrades. A slight room upgrade was provided after the iPrefer program spoke with the hotel, but nothing else was provided. XV is a legend collection of preferred rewards, but they do not follow their rules.

XV may be a nice place to stay overnight or for business travel, but we would not recommend it for leisure stays or special occasions. At the same price, the other five-star hotels in the area may be a much better value.
