We spent 4 days in Boston and long debated about where to stay. So glad we chose XV Beacon...it was the best location for convenience and easy access to the downtown of Boston. From the moment of our arrival until our departure we wanted for nothing...the staff was great and eager to meet our every need. We had one little...

I don't mind paying good money for a good hotel and I'd say I'm easy to please as my needs are pretty basic. I stayed here for two nights and paid over $900. I would not stay here again for two simple reasons. The hotel is so noisy you can not sleep and the reception desk staff are not interested...

I visited XV Beacon back in 2016 with my girlfriend and it certainly did not disappoint. The ambiance, the bar and the restaurant along with the friendly service of the hotel staff were top-notch. Never felt like you were in a hotel but rather a homey resort of sorts. It was centrally located to sites but the hotel also offered...

The XV Beacon was terrific. The entire staff from the front desk team to housekeeping to room service made this a great stay. I stay at luxury hotels all over the world and this was a top notch experience. Every hotel has most of everything - amenities, linens etc - but it is the quality and responsiveness of service that...

The XV was cosy, but sleek; a great balance. Staff uniformly excellent from the door person, to reception and especially the evening concierge, Coleen, who was very good. Room was great, well decorated, comfortable, stylish without trying too hard. Nice perk was the house car which unlike a lot of places which advertise a house car, but only seem to...

I've been a frequent visitor to Boston over the last 20 years, however tried XV Beacon for the first time and realised that I have missed a lot over these years. They are excellent hosts with attention to every detail, accommodating any sensible request and making you feel like home. Rooms are all designer touch And location is impeccable.

I've stayed at all the highest rated hotels in Boston; Ritz, Four Seasons, Taj, etc. This one is smaller than the others, a little less expensive, and I enjoyed it much more. It's charming, especially the restored antique elevators. The service is terrific. The staff is nice and accommodating. They have a house car for guests' use. You couldn't tell...

Stayed at the XV w/ my GF for 2 nights. Really spacious rooms, comfortable bed. Loved the in room fireplace. Wifi is fast. Old time elevators are fun. Service is great. Parking is, as expected, very pricey. The location is superb with easy access to everything. Would stay here again when visiting Boston

Stayed here with my son for college tours. Great location and top notch service. Thomas the concierge one of the Best I have ever encountered. The other concierges are also amazing. Rooms are a bit neutral, but very clean. They have Mark who drives the hotel car, what a gem!! Gave us a lot of information about Boston and got...

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
