Clean, friendly, and quite comfortable. Most notable, I left a pocketbook in the room and did not discover that it was missing until 2 days later. I called the hotel and spoke with the housekeeping manager who FedEx'd it free of charge, and I received it the very next day.....nothing missing. Thank you Courtyard Boston!

Excellent base for doing the city highlights. Staff were pleasant and helpful. All very smiley. Hotel is centrally situated for doing the touristy stuff. Trolley tour, harbour tour, Boston Common. The room we had was fine. Big comfy bed, air conditioned and surprisingly quiet. Probably because it was at the back. Visit the South Street Diner for breakfast whilst you're... More

Dear 'Good base for city visit', Thank you for highlighting all the fantastic aspects of our hotel and location. I agree, our staff is one of the best. We appreciate your feedback. Your comfortable bed comment is one I continue to hear more and more. It makes me the happiest to hear a guest say; 'I just had one of... More

We had a family reunion and this hotel was our home base. My own family included myself my husband and our 14-year-old and 11-year-old sons. The hotel catered a casual event for us the first night and the food was wonderful. All of the staff were great. We reserved two rooms, each with two queen beds, and they were adjacent... More

Visited Boston with work and was really impressed with the hotel. Very modern decor and very clean. Rooms small yet practical. Staff very helpful and friendly and rooms cleaned daily. Location was brill all places of interest easily reachable from the hotel. Only negative if I'm being fussy is there was no bath in my room :( that's not to... More

Centrally-placed hotel in Boston's theatre district. We had a quiet room on the ninth floor at the back of the hotel. Room size seemed fine to us, perhaps a bit on the small size but not uncomfortably so and given the huge, supremely comfortable bed we certainly weren't complaining. Very clean. Air conditioning and wifi worked flawlessly; couldn't have slept... More

This hotel is in a great downtown location, but I don't think I have ever squeezed into such a tiny room, even in NYC. There was not even room for a bathroom door to open out or in, so it had a sliding door that clearly did not fit the doorway--it didn't have a lock on it nor would close... More

We Stayed one night with 3 teens. The location made it easy to walk to public transportation and restaurants. The hotel was quiet. The public spaces were very nice. The front desk staff was very helpful with locking up some belongings for us.

The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. It was in a great location for sight seeing. Made our stay in Boston enjoyable. The only complaint I would have is the noise from the street on the weekend nights, but that's because it downtown.

Wedged between the Theater District ad Chinatown, the best thing about this Courtyard is the location. You are walking distance to those areas and Boston Commons, start of the Freedom Trail, Boston Gardens and a healthy walk to the Hynes Convention Center. We were in town for a convention there and the walk was through a main street, safe area... More

This is a nice hotel with a good décor for a Courtyard. It is located near the theater district, so the location is great for that. It is a long walk or a cab ride to most of the business areas. They take good care of guests.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
