I was only here for one night for a business trip but I was impressed by the size of the room. I booked a standard sized room with a king size bed and a second king size bed would have fit just fine. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept like a log.

We had a room with 2 double beds so my husband and daughter could accompany me on this 2 day business trip - a professional meeting held at the hotel. Thus, we stayed at a discounted group rate (covered by my professional expense account - otherwise I would not have splurged on a hotel in this price range). Our room...

We had stayed at the Taj during marathon weekend in 2016 and had a good experience, so we returned in 2017. Due to a few mix ups, we were not as impressed with our stay this time, but once we mentioned our problems to staff, everything was taken care of! Things don't always go perfectly, the sign of a good...

We (family of 4, with 17 and 12 year old) decided to overnight in Boston for college visits. Although we've stayed at various hotels in Boston before (Fairmont Copley, Westin Copley), this was our first stay at the Taj. Great location - we walked back from the North End after dinner on Sunday night. Room (734) was large, two queen...

Loved the Taj Boston. The location is unparalleled and the staff was great. We had a beautiful park facing room on the 9th floor that was beyond expectation. It was so exciting to be there the weekend of the Boston Marathon and to see the city buzz. Absolutely LOVED!

Rooms were run down and tired - not having been touched in years. It felt like I was staying in a run down budget hotel from a rooms perspective. Relatively cheap compared to Four Seasons or Ritz but on a relative basis simply not worth it. Worst of all, parking is offensively expensive - almost every other hotel in the...

Very difficult to relax with constrction noise outside room. had to walk on tacky floor that pulled heel off shoe in hallway when carpet was pulled up. Ice cold shower after only a minute. At midnight its difficult to invite plumber into room.

I had been looking forward to staying at this property for some time. The hotel is in need of updating. We had a double room, which was small by most double standards. The bathroom was so tiny that the door could not be opened all the way as the toilet was blocking. Turn down service was not provided, nor was...

Very nice stay. Got to hotel early to leave bag - room was available so I was able to check in. Room was LARGE, with spacious and brightly lit bathroom. Staff friendly. Bar and bar tender are first rate - a wonderful Boston tradition.

Lovely hotel across from the park and in the upscale shopping area. Great staff, nice spacious rooms with nice touches like slippers & robe layer out for you. Great food and nice views of the park from some rooms!

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
