Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

Avoid. For charging around USD600 a night, it is not worth it. You walk in and get the fake- not caring robot like experience from the receptionist. They pretend they listen but are just doing the routine. It is one of those places where the staff don’t care anymore since hotel guests come and stay here anyways for the conferences. Horrible for the Marriott Bonvoy brand. Here is the USD600 view for you. See below. Hope you like rooftop AC ducts.

The only fault was the receptionist : it was booked by my friend since we do this every other month and it was my friends turn to do the planning so it was under her name but of course pay my share . I’m a Marriott Bonvoy member so I asked him if my stay can be credited to get points . Unfortunately since it was under her name I couldn’t credit a point. That’s my only negative review otherwise the hotel situated in the area where we can have easy access to the train and also the free Logan express ride to the hotel . It’s connected to mall and convention center so for down time you got plenty of restaurant to choose and shop .

If you happen to arrive at this hotels main entrance during one of the almost always busy ,sometimes madhouse moments , you could be excused for thinking "what have I come to?...is it always like this?. However , the staff to their credit , appear to cope very well with the constant numbers of vehicles / people coming and going. Likewise inside at reception , any staff I encountered managed to stay generally cheerful and helpful despite the constant queues and inevitable problems. The hotel is very well located being convenient for shopping , dining and transportation. It is also linked directly to Prudential mall , Hynes convention center , and Copley place mall. All public areas are bright and spacious and along with the rooms and corridors , are kept spotlessly clean. The hotel offers a whole range of facilities including convention / meeting areas ,ballrooms , swimming pool , dining , spa treatments and car rental. Not really many negatives....the cost of breakfast in the main dining area is a bit over priced , although it was nicely presented and offered in very comfortable surroundings. Alternatively , you can eat for slightly less in the market diner area. The cost of overnight parking is also a bit steep . Nowadays not providing free , decent speed wi-fi , seems almost prehistoric. Would I head for this hotel on any future visit to Boston..definitely . I would also recommend it to anyone else who is going to be in the city for business or pleasure.

Spent two nights at the Sheraton will attending a conference at the Hynes Center, indoor access to it as well as Prudential Center and Copley Place which was great for my wife while I was busy. Many choices of restaurants within easy walking distance a T stop for the green line. Marriott Bonvoy member got checked in at 10:30 am which was great and given a nice room on the 19th floor with a river view. Room was a king plenty of room bathroom is a bit small but who needs a huge bathroom. I did ask for an upgrade to a club level room but was told at an additional $60 a night so not worth it. As an aside when I have stayed at Sheraton's in the past if available I have always gotten a free upgrade to the club level or for a very minimal amount but that was prior to Marriott taking over so policy may have changed. Pool and fitness areas were great and open at 5 am so I was able to swim and work out before my training. Overall nice stay I would stay again if in the area

The Sheraton is in a great location near to Boston Common and the start of the Freedom Trail. There are numerous restaurants nearby. We couldn't see the parking straight away so got caught for valet parking which cost $58 per night... The room was comfortable and spacious but had to phone housekeeping to ask for our room to be made up (4 pm). This is quite an expensive hotel so I was surprised no toiletries were included. Staff were friendly and helpful.
