The pros: Great location, Nice pool and gym. This hotel is one of the largest in boston with a huge number of rooms. Good views from all sides of the Pru tower and taller than all buildings in south end. Cons: Always over a 5 minute wait to check in. Its pretty simple analytics. You have x amount of rooms,... This hotel is spacious and is best described as a business hotel. Check in was efficient and adequate. The member of staff dealing with us had very little knowledge. However, we found concierge to be very good. Our room was large and well equipped, however, decor is tired and dated. The room was clean and all requirements provided. Bed and... More

Stayed here as part of tour group. Rooms were of a good standard. The breakfast room was very busy each morning and the staff were not particularly friendly. The food was adequate and plemtipfyl for breakfast. The Sidebar was popular and Khrushchev server was lovely. Nothing a problem and was most helpful when we ordered anything. It was attached to... There were a few positives about our five night stay at this hotel: the beds were very comfy and it was quiet and so we slept well. Also, they have great restaurant wait staff. However, there was a mixup over the number of breakfast vouchers given to us which meant we had to go and argue the case for vouchers... More

We stayed here the night before an event at Fenway. Was nice and close to Fenway (easy 10 minute or so walk). Check in was quick and efficient and hotel lobby was clean and spacious with a Starbucks in the lobby just around the corner and behind the reception desk. They happily met my request for a high floor room... More

I stayed here for a business trip. I was suspect as it is a very large conference type hotel. A couple of minor mishaps but the way that management reacted was extremely positive. Thank you to Ryan and Matt. But a huge shout out to Desiree at the front desk. She listened, heard me and followed up flawlessly. What a... More

My husband and I spent our 20th anniversary weekend at the Sheraton hotel. The location was perfect convenient to many restaurants and shopping. Check in was fast and the lady at reception was very nice. Our room was club level on the 28th floor with an amazing view of the city and the river. Just beautiful!! Comfy bed, good wifi,... More

Stayed at the hotel while exhibiting at a local show at Boston Convention Center. Not near the convention center I was attending but out there by the show facilitators. It was a very busy large hotel connected to the Pudential center. Rooms were small and not very well kept. Bathroom ceiling had paint chips and bubbles. Shower curtain had mold.... More

Our three night stay at Sheraton Boston Back Bay was outstanding. We visited parks, markets, local church and restaurant including trip to little Italy for dinner. Also took duckboat tour and even had time for whale watching. What made it all great was location of Sheraton and proximity to activities and subway. Accommodations were super with clean comfortable lobby, friendly... More

We were here for ten days, I needed to be here for a conference for three days, but since we traveled from the Pacific coast, we stayed over to enjoy the city. David greeted us the first day and took are of coordinating our reservations and made certain we had a great room...it was a corner room with excellent views... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
