Having taken our hire car back to the Airport, we had an easy journey into Boston and The Chandler Inn. A little tired but we liked the 24hr coffee in reception and ice on demand. Air con was a must and very efficient. We were on the 8th floor and it was very quiet. Short walk into the hub of... More

Stayed at this hotel on a business trip for a few nights. Check-in was smooth -- a big group from my company was staying here and they had already had our room keys and check-in forms ready to go. The staff was helpful and courteous throughout my stay. The room was small but decent -- comfortable bed, a small but... More

Arrived very early so asked if we could leave luggage and book in later but Lo and behold they had a room ready and in we went. This is very much an example of the service you can expect at this slightly out of the way hotel. Any info needed on this lovely city just go to reception. Rooms slightly... More

Our room was on the third floor. When walking in, our neighbors in adjacent rooms had their doors open and were pretty loud, however once we were in our room and closed the door we couldn't hear them. The location was fantastic - we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. We parked in a garage a few... More

The Chandler Inn is located in a very nice neighborhood, at the border of Bay Village and South End. The area, as also Backbay, has very beautiful and cozy houses, and cobblestone alleys. The hotel is relatively small, but very nice. I was given a room at the top level, the eight floor, (the hotel has elevators, which is nice),... More

Stayed here one night to be close to Fenway Park....(need to take subway or cab), it's a long walk on a hot day but the staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and cute. It's a small hotel but nice and has a cool (gay guy ..I think) bar downstairs but would stay here again if in town... More

I didn't have a great experience at the Chandler Inn. Here's what happened, and why I'd still recommend it. I wanted to love the inn from the moment I arrived: charming location, attentive staff, hiply styled (if small) rooms. All good. Moments after I entered my first room, I realized the noise from the corner bar (which was loud and... More

Very nice stay in this hotel. Water and coffee available in the lobby. Very well located, nice staff. Excellent attention in the restaurant for breakfast. All information I asked they could help me and also gave me tips of what I could do in the short time spent in Boston.

Let me start this off with, I hate when people play dumb about complaints. When asked about the noise concerning the window, the guy upfront had noooo idea what I was talking about. There was no lock on the window, so you couldn't force it shut completely. Also, the windows weren't sound proof, meaning, all you heard all day and... More

I found this hotel when desperately searching for a hotel within the company budget that was near the conference I was attending. No regrets about going here. It is in handy walking distance of lots of restaurants, Boston Common (for the Freedom Trail walking tour) and the Hynes Convention Center. Staff are very helpful and friendly. You have to borrow... Staying in South End

Neighborhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
