The Godfrey Hotel Boston was a perfect location for all sightseeing and exploring! The hotel staff, Arbon, and Julie in particular were wonderful and helpful with Uber, and restaurant reservations... and the bartender who also work at the Restaurant onsite was a pleasure to talk to! Will hopefully make it there next summer and bring a few grandkids for historical touring! Thanks again!
Amazing place great location all the staff was amazing friendly and extremely helpful room are great and so is the atmosphere the whole hotel is extremely clean would defiantly stay again ----- :-) ------
The Godfrey is one of my favorite hotels ever! It is our go to when we visit our daughter in college. From the location, to the amenities, to the staff, it encompasses everything a traveler would want. The rooms are so clean with comfortable beds, crisp bathrooms, and complimentary snacks and water! The staff makes the experience even better. Everyone is most helpful and friendly. They will go out of their way to make you feel like Norm from Cheers! A special shout out to the valet staff, Leo, Julia, and Arbon. The hotel employs the best of the best! You will thank yourself if you book a stay!
Godfrey met all our expectations and then some! 5 Star all the way. From the moment we checked in with Julia at the front desk till our departure, everything was top notch. The room was perfect, great shower, comfortable beds and linens. We will be back!
The Godfrey Hotel has been my go-to place to stay in Boston. It is steps from the Opera House yet quiet inside. Unlike the chain-hotels around it there’s more of a boutique vibe. Also, the coffee house just below is super convenient. I can always count on welcoming and helpful staff. Shout out to some of my favorites - Sarah, Arbon, Chris, and Leo. See you soon Godfrey!
Lovely staff, great room, comfy bed, good fitness facilities, kitted out bathroom - I loved my stay here! The location was great, only a short walk to the public gardens and park and 15 minutes to the waterfront.
My partner and I decided to take a last minute trip to Boston and booked our room the night before. My partner and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided to book a single room. Upon arrival we were placed in a room overlooking the preserved courtyard. It made a very quiet and cozy night sleep, great to get away from the noise of downtown. The next day we wanted to switch up our views and were able to transfer to a room overlooking the downtown street. Leo at the front desk made it extremely simple and moved us for no additional charge. His attention to detail was amazing and his intentions to make our trip the best possible were clear. I’ve stayed at a plethora of hotels and Tarrell the bellman is one of the most welcoming, caring, and charismatic individuals I’ve met. Each time we entered the hotel we were greeted with a warm welcome. Tarrell went a step beyond and wrote a personal note with champagne and chocolate for our anniversary. Definitely the most welcomed I’ve felt at a hotel. I’ve had the opportunity to review and stay at many others. Tarrell and Leo’s hospitality places the Godfrey in a tier of its own. Regarding property maintenance once we were moved to our new room which had a great view, some work was being performed on the compressor unit outside but it was promptly complete with an hour. However, while my partner was preparing themselves in the washroom an individual unlocked the door to change the air filter without any warning which startled us. Thankfully we were both decent. Due to the compressor repairs we were instructed to keep the room at 68F which made for a very chilly stay, the thermostat was locked to ensure the compressor remained running. Sleeping with sweaters and socks on fixed this issue, but definitely added a hiccup to our sleeping arrangements. Overall, the room maintenance is prompt but likely entered the room without knocking since they thought the room was clear. I prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt. The welcoming staff at the front desk made the stay a lot better in the end. …
This is my second stay at the Gofrey and the hotel never fails to impress. The rooms are super clean and very comfortable. The location is brilliant and we walked to most places. This time I borrowed a fee city bike from the lobby and enjoyed a cycle around Boston Common. THANKYOU STAFF..
Everyone made us feel so valued and was so friendly. We always returned to the hotel to such friendly faces - it felt like we were part of a family. The hotel was super clean, the rooms were as well, and I slept better than I ever have at a hotel. The vibe downstairs (music, bar when it was open in the late afternoon) was cool. We are really enjoying our stay here!
My husband and I went to zBoston for a weekend and had picked the Godrey hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and the location was close to subways and landmarks. They have a super breakfast place attached with fantastic lattes and pastries.
