Sadly, I cannot say that anything about this hotel was impressive. We were really looking forward to the rooftop bar but it was closed for a private event. So, we headed to our room. I think they overthought decor and ended up with a style that is really uncomfortable. The bathroom design lacked privacy, the bed in the middle of the room lacked functional nightstands to put things on, and the chair was not comfortable to sit on. I particularly like bedding that has some weight to it which you will not find at the Envoy so I had a restless night of sleep. I would recommend trying another hotel.
I've stayed at this hotel three times now because it's the best hotel in the Seaport. I always have great views, it's close to shopping and restaurants, and the staff is great. I would like to point out if you go to the rooftop bar at night and you're older than 35 you might not like it. If you go earlier it will be fine. We opted to go to the downstairs bar instead where Steve was happy to take care of us - he was a real stand out.
While at the envoy not only the drinks were amazing, the service was better but I almost lost my phone; Tyler came to the rescue. Even the GM came to say hi and make sure we were happy. Thank you envoy for the best Friday EVER.
First time staying here, lovely hotel. Staff were pleasant to deal with and happy to help when needed. The rooms was super spacious. Comfortable bed, slept well over my stay. BIG shower with great water pressure. Only gripe on the shower was there was no clear symbols telling you how to go from cold to hot. Though I got there in the end. Room had all the extras too, from iron & board, to soaps, shampoos and robe. Good choices for breakfast too which was sit down service. Lookout bar was great. Offering nice views of the finance district. Make sure you head up for one providing it’s not raining.
As in the title I have to say besides the worst check out experience, the stay should have been at least four star out of five level cuz all the other staff we met was nice and helpful. The check out was super unpleasant due to the unprofessionalism, discourtesy and impacience of the frontdesk. Story is like this: there were two employees at the front desk, one lady and one guy. The lady was helping another guest so we went to the other guy for checking out, but was told just leave the room card keys and all set. But we wanted to switch our payment method, so we asked the guy and was told the lady would help us with that. (Not sure why he was doing there then, no explanation, literally he was like a guest in the whole process). Then as soon as the lady got our room number we were checked out instantly, haven't got a change to ask the favor to switch payment card! Here, I don't think she followed the standard hotel process to confirm if the card on file is the one we want to be charged. See, the other guy who knows exactly what we need was just watching and not helping at all just like an audiance not an empolyee as I mentioned. Moving on, the lady became unhappy since she had to cancel the unintended transaction, more attitudes were coming for us when we told her to split out payment. In all it was an awful expe, worst ever for us as regular travellers. And it happened in an Autograph Collection hotel.…
Wonderful reception. Explained hotel info clearly. Helped with my dog, sending luggage back. Did everything possible to make the stay exceptional. Cheer Noel, Valleta and Stephanie. And the roof top bar ..food, drinks, view and service exceptional.
Loved, loved this hotel! The location cannot be beat if you want to be close to the water and the city. It overlooks the city and docks of Boston, as well as it's restaurants and bridges. It's very easy to walk or bike (we used the Boston Blue Bike App) into town, over to Newbury St and down to Fenway Park. The rooms are laid out differently and I really did like that. Gave us plenty of space to move around. The TV's are huge, bathrooms spacious and loved the shower being it had a rain shower and separate detachable wand. There was also an umbrella, tote bag and bathrobe you can use during your stay, which added a little lux to the experience. The team members were really helpful. When we asked for Ice, they brought it up, instead of us having to go looking for it. Front desk were accommodating and the bar seemed fully staffed, which is hard these days. There is a restaurant and bar attached, you can also walk out of the door to The Barking Crab - a local and very popular seafood restaurant - where we always found to be a line! We also walked up to Committee for dinner, it's close to Nero Coffee, La Colombe and Boston's Tatte Bakery. There was a rooftop bar which we did visit a couple of times, during the day it was chill, but at night (on the weekend) it was pretty packed with party-goers. There was a line to get in (but not for hotel guests). Great stay, thumbs up to this hotel and when we come back to Boston you are definitely our first choice.…
Had an absolutely amazing stay at the envoy with my husband for a long birthday weekend The staff is top notch! To the welcome glass of Prosecco to the bottle in our room waiting for us! When I asked for ice ( to keep a drink i brought cool) we received a mini fridge! Staff always smiling and acknowledging you. We felt so pampered. The views are breathtaking, the breakfast at restaurant on site was outstanding. Walking distance to EVERYTHING and one of the best experiences we have had in a while I highly recommend the Envoy and cannot wait to visit again.
Booked a room with 2 queen beds for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. Was given a room with one king bed. Paid $717 for my kids to sleep on the floor. When I asked for room change I was told there were no rooms left and that there is no guarantee when you book a 2 bed room that you will get one. I guess I won’t be staying at a Marriott again if they won’t honor the reservations I make.
The rooms are amazing facing the seaport. The roof deck is so much fun and great cocktails. The restaurant food is also amazing the appetizers are made so well by the chef. Highly recommend this hotel if you wanted to experience Boston
