We stayed with Peter for 3 nights and it was great. We, 2 adults with a 3 year old, arrived late afternoon after a 7,5 hrs flight and Peter welcomed us with enough info for our first evening dinner. We didn't make conversations too long as we were longing for a good dinner and directly afterwards a nice night rest....

This is an ideally located BnB in the heart of Boston City.An easy 10 min walk from the metro/train Cn be charming for people who prefer old houses with wooden floors and old style furniture , which might not be antique but just plain old. The rooms are quite large , though not very bright. The breakfast is do-it-yourself muffins/...

The place is located slightly far way from the metro and other locations of interest so we had to have a daily walk of 10/15 minutes to get to the metro or to other locations where one would go to do stuff. The place was clean and the breakfast was basic. The toilet facilities were interesting as the toilet next...

We walked up the steps and when we tried the door, we were called from under the stairs. The owner invited us through a five foot door and a second door into a charming hallway. The owner (I never internalized his name) explained the way the house worked. He takes cash and travelers checks—no credit cards. The kitchen has a...

This is a very pretty house, centrally located in Boston. The rooms are very large and pretty, with a lot of wood, nice lamps, etc. Bathroom is shared, and slightly noisy, but my sleep wasn't disturbed by it. The neighborhood is nice, and the place is easily reachable. I would go here again.

The house itself is everything you would want from an old Brownstone building in Back Bay!! High ceilings, big rooms, loads of character. And a great location, only a few minutes walk from the T. The only downside is the plumbing, which is in need of updating (noisy central heating), and an interesting composting toilet in the shared bathroom.

The house itself is extremely beautiful, and is located in a nice neighborhood of Boston. I walked myself back from the subway at 10pm and still feel as safe as I could be. The property is around five minutes walk from the subway station so you need not to worry about how to get around. The host is extremely helpful...

Location is excellent, our room was charming and clean. Breakfast arrangements were a very simple serve-yourself set-up, which suited us but may not be everyone's cup of tea. Host was very helpful both before and during our stay.

Such a great house, one cannot help but imagine its history. I loved the wooden floors and the staircase. The artwork on the walls was varied and interesting adding to the charm. Yes the plumbing needs updating and don't stay here if you want ensuite bathroom but everything was clean and I felt comfortable walking around on the rugs without...

Staying in South End

Neighborhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
