So I stumbled upon this location when searching for a hotel near Fenway to take my twins for their first game. My husband and I have stayed in Boston many times, but usually the walk is at least 0.5 miles and I didn't want to deal with that, especially at 90+ degree heat. I would definitely look into it again in the future. My only caveat and worry is I overheard a lady who arrived to check in and there was no parking available. I heard the front desk staff say it was probably because of the Red Sox game. If I traveled all that way to stay at a hotel across the street from Fenway, I would like to know I'm guaranteed a spot. I don't know how the situation was rectified but I'd be curious to know. Price: I found the price advertised online to be reasonable in comparison with other hotels. Yes, they do charge $65/night for parking, but it's in the city literally right next to the stadium. It should be made a little more obvious on their website, but I knew it before I booked and was fine with it. The valet attendants were all super friendly and my car was taken care of. We always tip too, especially these guys who were hard at work and sweating to death in their black shirts and jeans! Lobby: The lobby is small but has some seating and a nitro brew station. I've never had nitro brew before and I couldn't get enough! The front desk staff were the nicest I've ever encountered. Like ever. Every single time I was near the front desk, they talked to me and made me feel welcome. That's the way it should be everywhere. Room: We got a "free upgrade" to a Fenway-facing room. Okay, so did 3 other people that I was within earshot of while I was at the front desk, but I'm cool with that. For the kids, it was all about the experience (and the pool) so the view was neat even if it was just the side of the stadium. We had two Queen beds and they were fine. The bathroom is fine. Yes, sliding door, but come on...it's a hotel room. No fan, so yes it fogged up. Not a biggie. No tub, just a big shower. TV worked fine. The wifi sucked but we weren't there for the wifi. And we totally had AC. Not sure which rooms don't have it, but ours worked fine. Pool: The pool was pretty small, but I have no complaints. It was wet and refreshing. A tad on the warm side by afternoon, but again it was over 90 degrees that day. And they have a ton of seating around the pool. Some lounge chairs, some chairs with tables, etc. Lots of options. And the hours were phenomenal 8am-10pm. Breakfast: OMG best continental breakfast I've ever hard. And the girl behind the table was the absolute sweetest. I wish I could remember her name. She packed up food for me to take back to my room and all with a smile. She made a waffle with a baseball stamped in the center which my daughter absolutely loved. Negatives: My only negative comment is that some of the other guests were young, drunk and inconsiderate to the young kids around. They were flopping around in the pool swearing, making out, spilling drinks into the pool, etc. I remember my first bottle of rum... Anyway, it would have been nice if the hotel staff could have squashed that, but like anyone else they probably have to pick and choose their battles. Unfortunately, no matter where you go and no matter what level hotel you stay at, you have to deal with selfish people.

When you arrive you realize it is a dump, basically would be a junkie flop house without the slick marketing. There was no air conditioning and it was basically a 50 year old place with a new coat of paint and some record players to try to pass it as a hipsterish place. We objected that the room was substandard and not as advertised and could not stay there. They said they would refund us and claimed they did a chargeback as we prepared to leave- but they straight up lied and fought with the credit card company to keep our money. These guys are cheats and frauds

We chose The Verb because of the location and price, what we loved was the staff. The valet staff, front desk, service staff, management - they were all so friendly and helpful! I will be spending a lot of time in the Fenway area of Boston in the coming years and will be sure to book my rooms here for this expressed reason. It was clean and quiet. I don't know how, and it could be because of where our room was, but we couldn't hear other guests or traffic. As a result, we slept really well. Things to note: it only seems less expensive than surrounding hotels. Parking is $65 per night and there is a $75 amenities fee. This makes the nightly cost on par with area hotels. The rooms are generally awesome. But (and this is why I gave it 4 stars), they have sliding bathroom doors and no fan (in the bathroom). If you're staying with another person, the bathroom doesn't feel private. Otherwise, no complaints. Great place, great people, and its super close to a lot of really cool restaurants. Thanks @theverb!

The Verb is such a cute theme hotel. What a cool spot, record players in every room! I had a great stay. Checking in with Olivia was a breeze and the location is perfect - I could easily explore Boston while also staying near legendary Fenway Park.
