This is a restored jail with a fun, hip vibe. Big open lobby bar area that can turn into a nightclub some nights so be prepared. The rooms were lovely and service was perfect. We had a great meeting room with decent catered breakfast and lunch. Would definitely return to this boutique property.

Beautiful lobby and the rooms are very well-done in keeping with the locked-up theme!! Lunch at the Clink was delicious *if not rushed since our server needed to clock out* but all-around great experience. Friday night was hopping and loud in the lobby - but a great time was had by all!

As a SPG Gold member, I was excited to try the Liberty with the hopes it could become my new default hotel for trips to Boston. Unfortunately after one of the noisiest nights I've spent in a hotel, I'd caution anyone wanting a good nights sleep to go elsewhere. For some reason, the hotel decided to locate some guest rooms...

This hotel is a super cool concept (in an old jail), and makes the most of their hotel bars and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel for those looking for something to do at night without having to leave the hotel, since the lobby always had something going on! That being said, it wasn't loud at all (although if you...

Love this hotel. Near the waterfront, park, Charles Street. Fantastic view of the city. Rooms are a little small but amenities are great. Love the lobby area and the restaurants nearby. They allowed us to bring our lab. Doormen loved him and offered to walk him.

Very beautifully restored building, and a very hip hotel. The foyer is amazing. We used the bar, the restaurant and room service and all were good. Our room was a corner suite and was very spacious with 1.5 bathrooms. Thank you for the coffee pod machine! The location is very close to the airport (10 minutes drive) and a short...

Back in Boston where I lived almost 20 years ago. I come often and have stayed at the Four Seasons, the W and many others but few of the hotels are as fun as the former Charles Street Jail. 1) Fantastic lobby - huge and the Christmas trees are both fun and up-side down! 2) My room is huge -...

Fabulous hotel, with a cool, hip vibe. We stayed this past Thursday and there was great scene in the lobby for the weekly fashion show. My wife inadvertently left her leather jacket in the lobby overnight and Friday morning it could not be found. Although, resigned to it's loss we still had a great experience. Upon arriving home, we were...

The Liberty hotel is a great rework of a historic building. The old jail theme is found throughout. Friendly helpful staff. Great restaurants and bar. A good walk around Boston with access to subway. Fun place for a weekend getaway.

We stayed at the Liberty in October and it was fabulous. It's convenient to everything. The design of the hotel is unique....used to be a jail. The beds seem smaller than your normal queen and king sizes. The staff was on point at all times. Our favorite was the day shift doorman. He is excellent at his job. He can...
