Wonderful 3 night stay. The owner, John is very hospitable. He is a great chef. Breakfast each morning was different. Omelet one day, pancakes another, and then scrambled eggs with roasted tomatoes. Fruit, yogurt, muffins, breakfast meats and tea breads available every day. Juice and coffee. Lovely linens, finished with beautiful crochet by daughter Melissa, who is very sweet and... More

We just returned from a 4 day stay at the Nolan House and we're already looking forward to our next visit. The house is charming with 4 large, comfortable, well-decorated guest rooms. John cooks a delicious breakfast each morning and we really enjoyed getting to know him and hearing his great advice on what to see in Boston. We stayed... More

We enjoyed our stay very much especially the morning stories shared by John over breakfast. The rooms are clean and well kept and Nolan house sits in a very nice Irish settlers area just enough to be away from the hustle bustle downtown area yet not too far. This place is highly recommended and we would definitely pay a visit... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Nolan House last week while we were in town to visit my daughter and newborn grandson. The house is in a nice part of Southie, only a few blocks from where my daughter lives. We woke each morning to a lovely breakfast served by John, who engaged with us while we ate. We came... More

My husband and I just spent the weekend at the Nolan House. The location is wonderful, easy access to downtown Boston via the 9 Bus or a short walk. John, the proprietor is very attentive to his guests and provides amenities to make your stay comfortable. Our room was beautifully appointed in a colonial style and the views from the... More

I stayed there while visiting a convention at the Boston Convention Center about a mile away. It was very economical compared to hotel prices. I drove in on a Thursday. The proprietor, John, was kind enough to use his car to save an on street parking spot for me. He moved his car and parked elsewhere. The breakfasts were very... More

My husband and I traveled to Boston with our children (ages 19, 19, and16) and my mom. The Nolan House is a big historic house near the heart of Boston. It fairly near to the airport and easy to find. Mr. Nolan met us at the door and showed us to our rooms. The house was full of interesting things... More

I'm the type of business traveler who misses home and thus, feel that if I can't be at my own house, might as well be at someone else's. The Nolan House makes you feel completely at home in the middle of the historically-Irish, now gentrifying South Boston (Southie, as they call it here), in a very cool old (1850s?) three-story... Love this bed and breakfast! Our room was perfect, very comfortable. John made us feel right at home for our Boston getaway. It was very convenient and easy to get around Boston. Close to the beach, we even heard some seagulls! Fabulous rooftop deck which has amazing Boston views!!!! Priceless! 2 thumbs up!!
