Neighborhood
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.

All amenities, location, accessability, and especially the staff where GREAT!!! A+ service all around. Last month I stayed at a local DT chain hotel and the bed was terrible, the elevator was slow and 1 of 2 was out of service. Here at the Residence Inn, the elevator was out of service all but a couple of hours. Staff was AMAZINGLY professional. We felt "at home" during our stay.

We stayed for five nights in July. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was OK. We were in a one-bedroom suite, a bit small compared to other Residence Inns around the country where we stayed. Convenient location for driving by car. Nice to watch July 4 fireworks from 8th floor balcony. Right near Fenway Park for those who want to go there. Three complaints: (1) High priced room. (2) Valet parking fee. (3) More carts needed. On checkout there were no carts available, and we have a lot of luggage.

$50 to park is absolutely friggin crazy. Occupancy tax REALLY? Staff was very friendly and funny. Helped us find dining options. Room was basic but very clean however the dishwasher was broken. Was promised the hospital rate but didn’t receive it.

We found this hotel to be clean, modern and a super location if you’re going to Fenway Park or the House of Blues. Getting to other Boston sites is doable via walking, Uber/Lyft or subway, although we never used the subway this time. It only took about 15-20 minutes via car service to get to/from the airport. Our main complaint was the piping HOT water in the bathroom sink and shower. We ended up brushing our teeth in the kitchen area of our King studio because it was easier to adjust the water. They need to do something about the plumbing. The shower changed temperature and pressure on us too. Other than that, room was spotless and staff were friendly. We would stay there again.
