We stayed at the Loews Boston Hotel in September 2016 for 4 nights at the start of our tour of New England. The hotel was formally the headquarters of the Boston Police. A very interesting building, fortunately it offered better accommodation than it probably offered it's past customers. We arrived on Saturday 17 September 2016 and due to them being... More

Unfortunately, for the cost of a one night stay ($450/night) it felt like a waste of my hard earned money. I was expecting to be Wowed with exceptional service, amenities and luxury. Next trip to Boston will find me at a Marriott at half the price.

Stayed at this hotel for my second time last week, while visiting Boston on a business trip. The hotel is located in a good location in Boston Back Bay area, close to the business location, few minuets walk from the parks and a few additional minuets of walk from the shops and harbor/ The hotel rooms are nice and clean,... This is an excellent hotel in a fabulous position in a lovely city. No complaints about our three day stay - it was memorable!!! But: after flying all day from the west coast, on check in we we hit a wall. Staff on reception greeted us with the news that Expedia - who had a confirmed booking for us that... More

Great start, our luggage was delayed and we were given toothpaste, mouthwash, toothbrushes and deodorant, complimentary to freshen up. Good bean to cup coffee available 24 hours a day. Web site says bottled water in room but it's 5 dollars a bottle! King deluxe room nice but no bath. Staff very good when approached but would be nice to be welcomed back... More

Excellent property. May not be 5 star officially but the standard is very high. Beautiful decor, good sized rooms, lots of extras. Comfortable bed. Walking distance from many good restaurants. Lovely lounge with complimentary tea/coffee all day just off the lobby.

I loved everything about this hotel. The coffee/tea bar in the lobby, the room itself, and the location. This is definitely worthy of a 4.5 star rating. If you're going to a Sox game, the closest stop is Arlington, a couple of blocks away at most. Crowded on the train but it wasn't that many stops to suffer through. We... More

I stay at the Loews often when in town for business. They always recognize me for to loyalty and ensure I have a memorable stay. Great partnership with Equinox as their onsite gym is more of a coat closet. Only downside to the brand is the inability to earn points towards future stays.

Just returned after a wonderful short break. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Ideally placed for Boston and near to the common and the shops on Broylston Street. The doorman was really pleasant with a friendly comment and always remembered you. All staff went the extra mile and the narrow stairs was always busy with locals and guests

Very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Would definitely recommend. We did upgrade for a small charge & the room was worth it. Very professional staff & I can recommend the precinct bar. Would definitely return.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

Our exclusive Back Bay location, which is ideally situated between three of Boston's hottest neighborhoods-the South End, the Theater District and the Back Bay-puts you in the heart of all that Boston has to offer, with everything you want to see or experience, including the shopping on Newbury Street, just moments away. If you are in town for an event at one of Boston's many colleges and universities, we offer effortless access to the campuses of Boston University, Boston College, Harvard, Northeastern, Emerson and Tufts Medical School, to name just a few. Our 225 spacious guestrooms, two luxury suites and an expansive Presidential Suite have been freshly renovated and bring you the ultimate in modern convenience and comfort.
