Had a great stay here. The facilities are great and the staff are lovely. The tours organised by the hostel are all decent and the pub crawls are a great way to meet other travellers. Boston is a very expensive city to stay in and hotels there are extortionate. So whilst this hostel is pricey, it's still much cheaper than... More

We had a great stay here for three nights. The hostel was one of the best I've experienced. The hostel have thought what would be useful for travellers and implemented it. The rooms are big. The beds are comfy and have their own lockers which can fit your suitcase. There are assigned beds so there's no fighting over that -... More

This would have to be the best hostel I've stayed in - and I've tried a lot across North America and Europe. I was in a six-bed female dorm for three nights. The best part for me was the numerous private bathrooms, which were individually equipped with shower, toilet, sink, mirror. I found the privacy and comfort of having proper... More

This was the first time I stayed at a hostel. I was anxious about the privacy issue, I mean, sharing a room with five other strangers....however, the roons are designed and arranged in such a way that you can actually get a lot of privacy. I found the hostel generally well organized and clean. I wish the bathrooms were cleaner... More

Hosteling is really a great trademark of hostel all over the world. I have stayed with them in various major cities in Europe. The facilities are always with high standards. But I'm impressed specifically with HI in Boston. The dining hall and the HUGE kitchen, its location is always good, the so many common area one can use, there uninterrupted... More

Great hostel, I think this is the best one I stayed in so far. Stayed for 3 nights in a 4 beds dorm at the beginning of July. Plus sides: friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, free towel, great private bathrooms, power outlets right by the bed, private locker in the bedroom, free breakfast on the 2nd floor, plenty of... We had a double room with bathroom which also had a single bunk on top - very spacious and smart. Everything was clean and well presented. Pleasant staff members at the hostel. Good breakfast with plenty of coffee, bagels etc. Take note of the red and green door signs - green means towels changed and clean bathroom but don't expect... More

This place is waaaay to nice for a hostel. It's more like a top-notch hotel with shared rooms. Everything is immaculate, there are private bathrooms, and each bed gets an assigned locker which lets you charge devices that are locked inside. They also had social activities planned which I didn't participate in, so I can't comment on them. I was... More

This was a pretty good hostel. The free breakfast is better than average, the wifi works, the beds have power outlets and lights, there are private bathrooms. The best part though was the guy who checked us in, Tommy. He told us all about the hostel and Boston. We are from Texas and he let us know that the Rangers... More

Extremely friendly staff, free quality breakfast, clean, and perfect if you're on a budget. This hostel is near to Boston's downtown, and a five minute walk from parks, restaurants, shops, and train stations. Recommended 100%.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
