The place is beautiful! I love the concept of the house and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. it's like a high end bed and breakfast. The area is also great and the hosts are very helpful. Totally recommend it if you are in Boston.

I attended a concert here with Boston Opera Conservatory. The house is on a street of beautiful, historic homes and is walking distance to shops and restaurants. It was built in 1853 but was renovated impeccably in the last few years. I enjoyed the warm, inviting atmosphere and artistic decor. While I was only there for the concert I would...

I came here for the first time as part of a writing retreat. The individual rooms were so comfortable, the morning breakfast was so good, the staff was so friendly and everything was just so lovely that I can't wait to come back. It was near shops and delicious restaurants. Thank you Taylor House for a productive and restful weekend!

Wonderful, charming old home. Nicely appointed. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Our breakfast was outstanding. I understand each day's menu is differently, but I had a spinach and mushroom soufflé that was outstanding. Their blueberry coffee cake was wonderful too. I highly recommend this B and B.

I keep returning to Taylor House B&B because the experience is so delightful. Lovely and charming accommodations coupled with helpful hosts make this a great place to unwind after working all day in my company's headquarters in Boston. It was hot and humid the night I stayed and the air conditioner in my room did a great job! And once...

Had a wonderful long weekend stay at the Taylor house as a group of three couples. We shared a suite on the upper floor with three bedrooms and a common area for the first few nights and then moved down to individual rooms (each with their own theme) later in our stay. Both were very comfortable and feedback was positive...

Awesome place very close to central Boston. I really enjoyed my stay, especially the super fast Internet! I work mainly on the computer, so I really appreciated having Internet I could rely on. The breakfast was great and the place was very comfortable and relaxing. The room also got nice and chilly, which was great after a hot day in...

The absolutely lovely Taylor House Bed & Breakfast is the ideal place to stay when visiting Boston! My husband and I are a young newly married couple and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay--bed and breakfasts aren't just for grandparents! :) The owners are very kind and welcoming, and talking with Jose at breakfast was a delight. I cannot stop gushing...

Our second visit was also comfortable and relaxing. We have learned not to expect too much in the way of hosting but in a way it feels like coming home to family and being trusted with the property. This time we had two rooms in the third floor suite, with shared bath, and so had all kinds of room, including...

This lovely B and B was fully booked, so we were unable to stay this time. The owners directed us to a very pleasant boutique hotel nearby. Still, the next time we visit Boston, with more advance planning, we hope to stay here again. The owners are friendly, accommodating, make a great breakfast and absolutely make one feel at home....

Staying in Jamaica Plain

Neighborhood Profile
Jamaica Plain
This Boston neighborhood feels like a distinct community unique and separate from the bustle of other areas. Beautiful Victorian homes, restaurants with an emphasis on being eco-friendly and providing local and organic food, and a large Hispanic community. Visit Centre and South streets for restaurants, cafes, and little shops. The Arnold Arboretum is a beautiful, large green space well worth a visit if you venture to JP.
