Warning. The front desk gave keys to our room to another guest, claiming that their "system" showed our room was unoccupied. Strangers entered our room at 1:30 am. This was a frightening experience for two women travelers. The front desk then called and asked us to come and bring our credit card to the lobby at 2:00 am. There was no manager on duty, not even an apology. While the Kimpton Nine Zero claims to have a great disinfection process, it is doubtful since they cannot discern which rooms are occupied, nevermind cleaned.

Hotel's Favorite
Our stay at the Nine Zero was a fantastic experience from start to end. Joe, Phil, Ashley, Christian, Sam and the rest of the staff are incredible. They exemplify superior customer service. I have stayed at a lot of IHG properties all over the globe and this staff is consistently the best. The room was clean, restful, inviting and pleasant. The views were amazing. My son slept on the roll up cot and found it to be very comfortable. The king bed was also very comfortable and roomy. I really enjoyed the pillow. The housekeeping staff kept the room in immaculate condition. They were very responsive to our needs. Overall, the Nine Zero felt very clean and safe. The location was wonderful. If you are like us and like to walk, you can get anywhere from there. We felt very safe walking at any hour. The Nine Zero is a terrific place to stay.

We had a very nice stay at the Kimpton. Our room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was roomy enough, and we had no problem figuring out how to turn the water on in the shower( despite the lack of having degrees from Harvard😉). Yes, the lighting is a bit too dim throughout, and the toiletries are a bit skimpy, but certainly not a deal breaker for us. Perhaps a bar/lounge/ restaurant at the hotel would be convenient, but steps away are many options in a great location of Boston.

We are IHG rewards members and frequently stay at Kimpton properties due to their pet friendly policy and boutique vibe. This Boston location was a mixed bag of pros/cons and certainly not the greatest Kimpton experience. + George (valet), Christian and Ashley?/Amy (front desk) were great + Prime location to the Freedom Trail, Boston Common, walking distance to Chinatown/Little Italy/Harbor + Wine hour + Clean + Pet friendly and no pet fees - Called and emailed in advance for a microwave and pet beds. The front desk even checked the “tracing” to ensure they were in the room. Spoilers, they weren’t. Had to call and ask for requested items. - No pet tag for the door (again, we noted in the reservation we were bringing dogs) - Restaurant and bar were closed - $600 per night for a suite and it wasn’t all that great. Bedroom within the suite was tiny and the room seemed bare and cold - Called valet on our last night to request our car an hour ahead of time. Also asked for it to be charged (electric vehicle). Come down at said time to no car and no charge. Sweet. Please note, this was NOT George. He was fabulous all weekend. - Bell people rarely opened the door for guests— even when my hands were full with two dogs on leashes. - No mention of a bar credit, and even though we are gold (now platinum) members, we got nothing Sorry, Boston Kimpton. I’ve just had better in LA, Seattle, Philly, Pittsburgh, Denver……

We stayed here over a Labor Day getaway. The hotel is lovely, clean, and the staff were wonderful. It is conveniently locat d within about a half a mile of many attractions. We stayed in an.ocwraizw king room, a corner unit which gave us a great view of the historic church tower on the corner. There are no restaurants onsite but many choices within a block or two. The hotel itself was great, but the staff just added to th experience. We will definitely stay there when we are in Boston again.
