The Farrington Inn is a 1 star hotel. You knew that going in there. What were you expecting? I have stayed at the Farrington at least 20 times in the last 2 years. I find it quaint, cozy, with great atmosphere. My rooms and bathrooms have always been clean. So you don't like sharing a bathroom? Get over it and enjoy this little gem. It is my favorite hotel and I love staying here.

i stayed here one night because a friend already got the place and this is where they were. It was worst than a cheap motel, the carpets on the floor looked like they were put in 1960s and never replaced, the bathroom is shared which I hated, the hallway smelt like food, and people don't turn off the light in the bathrooms so you don't know if someone is in there or not. the room was awful, two double beds, the blankets didn't feel clean or sheets, the room had broken blind air conditioner didn't work and overall dirty i kept my shoes on, noise level was high all night with people yelling, and this was during the cov-19 restrictions where only essential workers could stay, the place had a old organ in the hall which was the only thing I liked, I would never stay here again. spend a little more money go to the suburbs and take the train in you will thank me. the shared bathroom barely had toilet paper, no soap and was not clean, I left at 625 am and was so thankful my uber showed up!

I will never forget staying at this creepy dirty hotel and paying $100 to do so. Visiting colleges and needing a cheap place to sleep- this was not worth the ugliness of the night I endured here. Do not believe that this is anything other than a zero rating.

When we first arrived there was a bum in the back getting ready to relieve himself near the fence. He saw us and took off. The room was pretty bad the couch in the room was filthy dirty. The blinds are all broken. We had to put a blanket up to give us privacy. Luckily I brought my own sheets and blankets. Trying to sleep was another nightmare, it was loud because there was a car parked outside our window with men talking and laughing. The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors conversation. It was cheap and I know why. It was a horrible experience. I have to say that John who works there was extrem6 pleasant.

I needed a cheap place to crash for a few nights. This is basically a hostel that is in a great location ( Boston University) with lots of Asian restaurants as well as others and only a 5-10 min walk to the Green Line. The bus was also close by. Use an APP such as Rome2Rio for the quickest routes. I walked to the Museum of Art in about an hour. The hostel staff was very friendly and the door is locked at all times. If you need the staff then call them as they are between properties. The property needs a lot of work. The beds are not comfortable but that being said after long days of touring around Boston the place was quiet. The bathrooms are shared with approximately 12 other rooms ( bring flip flops to use the shower). They are very willing to store your luggage. Parking is not guaranteed so I don't recommend bringing a car though you don't need one with great access to MBTA. The hotels in the area were going for anywhere from 250-500 and up so this gave me a cheap option. It was a bed to sleep in for a short stay in a safe location.
