I was having a rough weekend, and just wanted to check into my room and relax. Checkin took only a few minutes; my room was beautiful and spacious. The bed was amazing, and the hotel bought me a drink at their bar. I also left my license behind by accident, and was flying out later that day, Steve from security...

Hotel W is located very central . Walking distance to the Boston Common as well to Chinatown and shopping area's . Although Boston is a walkable city you cannot beat the location. Chinatown is aorund the corner . Cool hotel lobby which changes into a lounge at night with DJ and good music . Good place to meet and chill....

I stayed here on Saturday 8/29 with a group of 8 girls for a bachelorette party. The experience started off poorly because only one of our rooms was available at the 3pm check-in and they informed us that the rooms would not be adjoining. We booked the rooms months in advance and were never told that our room types were...

Our son goes to college in this Boston neighborhood, so this was our fourth stay at the W Boston and for the fourth time it was excellent. The rooms are impeccable in both cleanliness and decor. The staff is on point, attentive and lovely. We are in both the SPG and SVO programs so the additional attention to detail on...

I hosted a Spa Bachelorette Party at the W (and Bliss Spa) on August 22nd, and it was absolutely gorgeous! The event room itself was beautiful, the food, mimosas and chocolate covered fruit were to die for, and the event manager that I worked with couldn't have been more helpful. All of the staff at the W was amazing, from...

I strongly prefer the Westin Copley, but they were booked this trip so we tried the W. I had been here one other time over a year ago and was not terribly impressed. This hotel is just ok, the location is in a scruffy area of Boston. Handy for Chinatown though. The breakfast is very average and the service very slow! Rooms are nice but the noise from the road and music is terrible, this is not entirely the hotels fault but if you are a light sleeper I would avoid it. Couldn't...

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
