Green Turtle Floating B&B- Unique experience. We first saw the houseboat on a Duck Tour of Boston years ago and always said we'd stay there someday. We arrived 5/7/17 and were met by Jon. Very friendly, made us feel welcome. He familiarized us with our suite. Was well equipped-even the frig was stocked with juices, water, yogurt, milk & coffee...

We spent a lovely week at the Green Turtle Floating Bed and Breakfast on Pier 8 in the Charlestown Marina...what fun! Karen and John are wonderful hosts. John gave us a wonderful orientation upon arrival about sites to see, transportation, restaurants and a great overview of the city. I just loved that. The breakfast every morning was excellent...and huge. What...

Wanted a special place to take my wife for her birthday...found it! Getting to downtown was easy from the Green Turtle with several options - walked, took Mass General free shuttle (one block away), and Uber ($7.00). Jon and Karen are wonderful hosts and very helpful orienting you to the area.

Just returned from a long weekend aboard the Green Turtle. From the host Jon meeting us at the pier to take our luggage and offer helpful advice about the area and restaurants, to the delicious breakfasts delivered to our door every morning cooked by his wife Karen, this was an outstanding first visit to experience beautiful Boston from the water....

Only had one night in Boston and wanted to try something different. This B&b fit the bill and was a great find. Our room was lovely and the view perfection. Breakfast was delicious and I wished we had one more night to be there. Perfect getaway, especially in the summer and fall.

What a wonderful place to stay - a very warm welcome, and tranquility in fun city. Jon & Karen were great hosts and helped us get the best tips to view the city and maximise our short time. Something very different, and I'm sure sitting on the deck enjoying the sunset would be great, although the weather wasn't kind to...

Karen and Jon provide a unique and charming escape with the Green Turtle Bed & Breakfast. Simple correspondence had me set up for reservations and arrival. Opted for a cab, but could have easily used the water taxi option to the harbor from the airport. I stayed in the Green Turtle 1, Loggerhead suite. The suite was perfect - Karen...

We are generally interested in pretty upscale, lux accommodations. The Green Turtle fits that bill because of the incredible, genuine, caring, tireless attention to every aspect of making your stay enjoyable. You are on a boat, in a brand new marina, steps from the freedom trail, overlooking 360 degrees of incredible things to see, do and eat ! Nice people...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Green Turtle is a floating bed and breakfast as luxurious as it is unique. Set in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard on Boston Harbor, the Green Turtle offers an expansive view of the Boston skyline along with the comfort and amenities of a modern bed and breakfast. The USS Constitution (Old Ironsides), the Bunker Hill Monument and the Freedom Trail are a short walk away. You can take the water ferry to numerous points along the waterfront. There are dining choices from bagels to world famous dining. The Green Turtle houseboat and yachts were designed for comfort above all and the only reminder you are floating in Boston Harbor is the sound of the gulls, motion of the sea and the reflection of the ocean dancing on the ceiling. It is delightful starting your day sipping coffee or enjoying a cold beverage after a day of sightseeing while sitting on your dock chairs or aft deck watching the harbor traffic and city skyline. The Green Turtle Floating Bed and Breakfast offers 3 boat choices. The Green Turtle I is a houseboat offering two private and separate suites and each has 1 queen sized bed with luxury linens. Each suite(Loggerhead and Sea Turtle) has a kitchenette and a private bathroom en suite. Each suite sleeps 2 or reserve both suites for 4 people. Green Turtle II is a 45 foot motor yacht which sleeps 2 - 6 people. She has 2 private queen staterooms with bathroom and shower in each stateroom, a full sleeper sofa in the living area, a galley and dinette and a great aft deck with comfortable outdoor furniture. Green Turtle III is a 43 foot motor yacht which sleeps 2-4 in 2 queen staterooms with bathroom and shower in each, a salon (living area) galley and dinette and an aft deck with comfortable outdoor furniture. Your suite/yacht is stocked with gourmet coffee, teas, juice yogurt, granola, spring water and snacks. We deliver fresh breakfast each morning. Staying aboard the Green Turtle Floating Bed and Breakfast is a unique way to visit Boston. All boats are docked in marina slips and are moored permanently during your stay. We live right here on our sailboat. Come Float With Us! ... more   less
