I think this was way overpriced, the carpet was stained in many places, paint was deceiving in the bathroom you could see patches on the wall that were still on the cement, the light was rusted,. The good points were: the shampoo smells nice, location isn't so bad.

Good location but needs updating. Our closet doors off track just laying against closet. Ask for another room that isnt on second floor. Elevators next to housekeeping. Maids carts left there in way of elevator entrance. We had to use stairs. We tried to use free shuttle to go to north end freedom trail and waited 45 minutes and it... More

Room was clean and offered a kitchenette. Wish we had paid attention to that because next time we'll bring snacks and stuff. Bathroom sink dripped and some low level noise. Still had a great night's sleep! A short mike or so to Boston's Italian section and close to USS Constitution. A bargain.

This hotel is not the most attractive, but would work great for a family group. The room has a stove, fridge, microwave and a sink for your dishes. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Could use some upgrade/repairs. Defective faucets and stained floor tiles in the bathroom. Nice , new towels. Overall , ok hotel and affordable... More

We stayed here a month previous and had problems but figured we'd like to give it another chance because everyone has off days. We didn't want housekeeping the first few days that we were there and just asked for toiletries, towels and teas. On the third day we specifically asked that our bed linens be changed, the room vacuumed and... More

The rooms are tired, shower was just a stall, no countertops in the bathroom, only 2 bath towels for 2 people....Parking garage was blocks away, lots of random people in the lobby taking advantage of air conditioning, free computer, etc. I did like it's proximity to the Ferry to Long Wharf, but we will not use this hotel again.

The location is perfect, close to everything (about 10 mins to downtown Boston and the airport). The price is OK for this time of the year, rooms are a little bit old, but very clean and large. Nice place to stay during your visit in Boston !

The billet style army barracks were a mess. I felt embarrassed to bring my girlfriend here. The lifts were exceptionally slow. The staff were OK. A 2 mile walk into town. Fine. No bother. The building itself was way beyond run down. Our view was of an old collapsing ruin. How ironic. This is two after the lat resort.

We stayed only one night. It was a nice hotel that offers gym access to the YMCA gym on property. There is no parking on site though. They do have access to a lot that is 2 blocks away. It's not a bad walk. The parking price is only $10 per in and out which is very inexpensive for Boston.... More

first of all ...the pictures posted on line for this hotel...are misleading, this is the equivalent of a Motel 6....no free parking ...the main reception is dirty...some of the receptionist were not friendly ....the room was not clean all the way...the view from the window was a wall ....the bathroom is very small with a tiny sink ...the refrigerator was... Staying in Charlestown

Neighborhood Profile
Charlestown
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.
