Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.

The hotel was situated perfectly near historical sites, bars and restaurants. It is also located just two blocks from the North End where Mike's Pastry Shop is located - a must go to for Lobster Tail pastry. I highly recommend this location.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, right across from Quincy Market. The whole experience was marred though by the fact that we did not get a handicapped room. When my sister made the reservation back in July for our 10/20 arrival, she requested a handicapped room.In July, she called the hotel to make certain we were getting a handicapped room and was assured that we would be. Upon checking in on 10/20, we were told there were no handicapped rooms! We were given a room on the 6th floor, the room farthest from the elevator! The bathroom held a bathtub that was huge and at one time may have been considered elegant. But it was so high, I could not get my legs up high enough to get in! So I had to go 6 days without a shower! One day we did manage to turn on the shower and grab the shower wand in order to shampoo my hair. Imagine going for 6 days with no shower! So this hotel may be wonderful in every way but I would never recommend it because our request was totally ignored. I cannot recommend a hotel that treats its guests so rudely!

The location of this hotel is perfect. Friendly staff and very clean. There was only one negative from our trip which was pretty BIG. We booked and paid in full for our 5 night stay through Travelocity months prior. Upon check-in, the staff person informed us there would be an incidental fee (which should have been $100/night stay=$500). I was aware of this pending fee. When I woke up the next morning to check my bank account, I noticed that there was a $1,900 pending charge (an overcharge of $1,400 of what should have been posted). Because of this, I went into the negative and had accumulated $180 in insufficient funds from my bank. Not how you want to start Day 2 of your bucket list vacation. So we had to spend a good amount of time on the phone the next day debating with our bank and trying to resolve this error by the hotel instead of touring Boston as planned. Nick, the manager that following day, was able to correct the overcharge incidental fee to more of what it should have been. He was very friendly and accommodated us as much as he could. Without online banking, this could have been disastrous. Because of Nick, I give this hotel a better rating. In closing, be sure to check your account the next day if you choose to book this hotel. I’m hoping there aren’t others who have experienced this huge error.

No real complaints but also no compliments. The hotel felt a bit old, furniture was dated and needed airing out. That being said, the bed was comfortable, I enjoyed the little balcony and view of Boston, and everyone was very helpful

I travel a lot and can sincerely say that my stay here was one of the best hotel experience I’ve had. To the point that I’ve signed up to give them my feedback. Bruce greeted us at the desk and was very kind to us. He even provided us with some extras to make our mini-moon more special. Kept updated with us throughout our stay. Everyone was so friendly and provided exceptional service above an beyond what you usually get from a hotel. I couldn’t be happier with my choice to stay, it exceeded my expectations. I will 100% be coming back and recommending this hotel to everyone traveling to Boston! Best Regards, David.
