We had a wonderful anniversary weekend at the Langham Boston. From beginning to end, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the hotel was beautiful and the food incredible. We enjoyed many extras provided by the hotel to commemorate our special occasion. For example, we came back to the room after a delicious dinner at the Fed to find a complimentary bottle of champagne and savory snacks. We called guest services to wrap it up for us and they quickly said they would deliver a fresh tray the following day and there they were 4 minutes before our requested time ringing the doorbell with our snacks. It was amazing to have that level of service which followed us throughout the weekend.

Langham Boston front desk, concierge and private dining staff were caring and prompt with service. Staff brought water and microwave promptly to room. Kim, a concierge, provided typed walking directions to St. Anthony Shrine church for Mass. Staff provided gifts of selfie stick, stuffed whale and Boston book for kids and Maria and Kyong from private dining provided excellent complimentary breakfasts since we were first in-room dining order for renovated property. Hope to return when pool and gym reopen.

The Langham is a beautifully restored property with a strong hard product. While always important, especially so during the pandemic, it was refreshing that both guests and employees were practicing safety and cleanliness precautions. The rooms are spotless and well-appointed. In my particular room, I found the bathroom and closet to be much smaller than standard which had minimal impact given my short stay. The average rating came down to qualities and preferences that should be easily accommodated yet it was a challenge. For good sleep quality, I prefer bedding/pillows with good neck support and unfortunately, after trying three different types, none provided support to prevent that sinking feeling when sleeping. The second issue was the climate in the room, it took multiple attempts to get to a comfortable cool temperature and even then, the humidity level was still very high (imagine damp clothes, linens, and towels). Overall, very happy The Langham has reopened to welcome guests but this particular stay was moderately disappointing given the strength of the brand and hard product.

The hotel is very nice, staff is friendly, cleanliness is top notch. Although the key restaurant is not open until Sept 1. We saw Grana and it looks amazing but it is not yet open. It is not clear when booking that the key restaurant is not yet open. I wouldn't have booked this hotel with a rate with free breakfast and $100 food credit if I knew the nice restaurant was closed and breakfast meant in-room dining. We also arrived late in the evening expecting to grab dinner at the nice restaurant in hotel but again not open. We didn't want bar food at The Fed for dinner. The Fed was nice if you want bar food, we were looking for a nice dinner setting - went to Palm nearby instead. Overall a nice hotel with lots of potential if you go after Sept 1. Disappointed in the meantime.
