Incredible from start to end. I have not experienced service like this in years. Friendly and hardworking people who seem to totally love their job…from the valet, front desk, housekeeping, concierge, dining etc. Housekeeping here I never saw but when I left my room and came back it was clean. I have not seen anything like it. Also, the Christmas decorations, music and the room was spectacular (with a fireplace). This trip was exactly what I needed. My college kids both came to Boston and our trip was memorable and spectacular Thank you to everyone who made our trip special. I will be back!!

Having read all the excellent reviews here, we had high expectations when we checked in. Unfortunately, part of our experience in this hotel was very disappointing. Pros: Courteous and attentive staff, location, wonderful housekeeping staff, restaurant on site, powerful showers. Cons: 1. We had read on the hotel website as well as on Tripadvisor that there would be complimentary tea and coffee on every floor. This could not be farther from the truth. Every morning at 5:30-10:30 they serve complimentary coffee in the lobby. After that, if you need coffee, you have to go down, and ask for one. They were always accommodating and always provided us with tea and coffee; however, it was very inconvenient to have to ask someone each time. A coffee maker in every room would have definitely solved the issue. 2. On our first night, we noticed a lot of small pieces of hair sticking to our sheets. At first, I thought it was a couple of eyelashes, but then there were far many more, not possible for any human to grow and shed so many. We asked house keeping to change our sheets. The nice lady tried to accommodate us. It took her a while to find sheets that did not have hairs sticking to them or stains though. You see, this was a laundry problem. They must have washed things together, or... 3. The third huge problem that made me take off 2 stars is the AC. It malfunctioned for some reason. On our last night, it only blew cold wind. We would not have minded had it not been November. They sent someone upstairs to see what the issue was. After a while, he managed to change the degree to 83 which made the room a bit warmer. We thought the issue has been resolved, but after a couple of hours, the room got so hot that we couldnot breathe. I tried to lower the degree, but I as I said, the AC did not function well, so it only blew cold air. Finally, I turned off the AC and all through the night, I either turned it on or off depending on the temperature.

Cannot tell you how much we love this hotel. Visit Boston every November with friends and wouldn't stay anywhere else. From the minute you arrive, the porters take good care of your luggage. Paul and his front desk team always give us a warm welcome. The room are spacious, the showers are amazing, the Lindt chocolates and complimentary water are a welcome bonus. The Concierge desk are great, nothing is a problem and are highly efficient, friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were cleaned to a very high standard and beds were extremely comfortable. The signature Lenox Hotel scent is amazing and I get my 'fix' by bringing home some candles. There's nothing better than sitting in the lobby by the fire and Christmas tree, drinking a class of wine from the City Bar chatting to other visitors or just people watching. I always hate leaving but look forward to visiting again next year.

We stayed at the Lenox for 3 nights. Everything that the other reviews say about the service is absolutely true. We were always greeted when we arrived and the front desk staff was always helpful. I loved that the coffee and tea service was right at the elevators, so I could come down, grab a cup and go back up to the room without having to wander around looking for it. We ordered impromptu room service from Solas, one of the in house restaurants. It was so nice to enjoy room service without the inflated price. Location is close to Newbury Street shopping. After only 3 three nights, we still missed it when we left. It definitely felt like home.
