This hotel would have been fine except for the access for those in wheelchairs. As the lobby is not at street level, they have a mechanical lift which leads from a side entrance to the lobby level. This entrance was closed when we came back to the hotel which took a bit of time to resolve. The handicapped room on... More

I'm generally a chain guy, e.g. Marriott and Hilton. But the price for those was too high for this business trip, so I had to stay at the Lenox. I rarely stay at boutique hotels but this one was really nice. The lobby was small but very nicely designed. It even smelled really good. The restaurant on the lobby floor... More

This hotel is in a great location in the Back Bay area near the Prudential Centre and many shops and restaurants. It is near a T stop and easy walking distance to Boston Common. Our room was big enough for the 4 of us, nicely furnished and comfy. Shower was excellent. Some nice extra touches here such as the free... More

We stayed at the hotel over Christmas and it couldn't have been better. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a lot of character. The staff are incredibly professional and helpful I would thoroughly recommend staying here!

The hotel is gorgeous, we had a lovely stay here. You can walk to attractions in Back Bay, and the tram stop is a minute away. We were here when the Boston book festival was on, and the venues were all really close.

Having grown up in and around Boston and historically stayed at Liberty Hotel when visiting, was blown away by the Lenox. Rooms were great, walking options to retail, great food, fun was amazing and most importantly EVERY team member of their staff was exceptional. Would highly recommend.

This hotel has a wonderful location first to mention. The staff is so professionally trained we felt so well cared for the entire time we were here. The suite was very well appointed and if we needed anything we were promptly accommodated. The room service was available 24/7 and there was never a need. Very clean and spacious. The turn... More

The Lenox is an amazing hotel for many reasons, including a great location, beautiful upscale rooms with very comfortable beds and outstanding service. My wife and I were married in the Dome Room of the Lenox Hotel 25 years ago. We spent two nights here as the start of our honeymoon. So when the time came to fly back to... More

This is an upscale boutique hotel with affordable options. We booked a room for one night this month. The sheets on the bed are exceptional, the bathrooms were clean with traditional elegant style, and the toiletries provided were amazing. The location right in Coply Square is the best, close to everything! Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved this hotel. We... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
