I stayed here for several nights mid December to attend a funeral service for a family friend. I've stayed at a number of hotels in the area over the past few decades and have to say that this is my new favorite mid range hotel. I loved staying at the Four Seasons but rarely can justify the price premium over...

Loved the location and the staff could not be friendlier! Our room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable! Loved free water and free wifi... so nice to not be charged for everything. The bar is fun too and the Room service breakfast was delicious and very prompt. Will stay here again if given the chance.

Came for a quick visit to shop on Newbury St. The Lenox staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was nice, we appreciated their generous amenities. I plan to return to this hotel anytime I'm in the area.

Wanted some holiday spirit with a short trip to Boston for me and my son and the Lenox delivered. Perfect location to be in the midst of all the Christmas bustle. The lobby and entrance were all holiday'd up and looked great. Service was first class . Room was clean, fresh and had the personality that comes with a nice...

We weren't planning to stay here but our return flight to the UK was cancelled and we had two days before the rescue flight. As such it was a pleasure to find such a friendly proactive and enjoyable hotel staff. The food was fantastic albeit a bit over sized for our British post-Yule tummies. The rooms were fair size on...

For the past 4-5 years, we have made it a habit to come to Boston in December to get that good Christmas vibe. The weather, even when cold and dreary, coupled with the Christmas decorations, help add to the Christmas atmosphere. Every trip-would we make down to the corner of Boylston & Exeter streets and spend a night or two...

While we live in Massachusetts, it's still fun to play tourist in your own city sometimes. Whenever I want to spend a night in Boston, my husband grumbles until I tell him we are staying at the Lenox Hotel. From the moment we arrive and are greeted by the valet/doorman, we feel like a are special friends coming for a...

Oh my goodness! Amazing is the best way to describe this hotel! My fiancé and I got engaged a few days before arriving and the attention to detail from the Lenox was amazing. We were treated like they cared, like we were the only guests in the hotel. We stayed over NYE and they had a street parade which went...

Lenox is a fantastic hotel, with exceptional service and a cozy, stylish atmosphere. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and were very impressed. The room was very nice and tastefully decorated. Room included free wi-fi, free 24 hour fitness room access, during the day there was either tea, coffee or hot chocolate in lobby for guests. Rooms also...

Everything about this hotel had class written all over it. A majestic old building beautifully decorated. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The service by all the staff from the doormen to the cleaning staff was exceptional. As it was snowing, the hotel drove us to the train station in their courtesy vehicle. The bar in the lobby allowed...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
