This was my first time staying at the Lenox, one night for business. The location was perfect, especially as I came in via train and could walk from Back Bay station. I loved the old details, the classic elevators and hallways, the weight of the doors. It feels like a classic, luxury hotel from an earlier era, transitioned nicely to... More

We recently stayed at the Lenox in Boston for a short holiday/baseball trip. What a great hotel! An awesome location in the Back Bay Area within walking distance to Fenway and downtown. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, greeting us every time we entered the hotel. The concierges were excellent, securing us baseball and tour tickets, and answering... More

Spend 3 nights here in July. Hotel is so close to everything I regretted renting a car (would have also missed the insane Boston traffic). The staff was very nice and helped us get Red Sox tickets on short notice.

Lovely hotel in a great city! The lobby has a lovely fragrance! Beds have wonderful linens, bathroom special touches, easy access to T and walking (of course cab and Uber) Staff is friendly and extra special treatment is the standard. Food options are yummy too.

If you want an interesting hotel with tons of chatacter, this is the place for you. Lots of original fittings, different mixes of wallpaper and furnishings, very good service, free cookies, toasty fire in the lobby, and a great location. My only gripes were the smallness of the room and the very saggy roll-away bed. We didn't try their restaurant... More

This place was a hotel like out of a movie. The service is above and beyond from valet to doormen, from concierge to bellhops. The rooms are cozy and comfortable beds as well. The water in the mini fridge is the best. Within walking distance of the PourHouse, go there for breakfast and drinks.

My fiancee and I stayed here at the end of December. We were in town for the NHL Winter Classic (Go Habs Go!) but we were also there to celebrate the New Year and my fiancee's 30th birthday. I mentioned my fiancee's birthday when making the reservation and were pleased to find a handwritten note along with a lovely bottle... More

We stayed for a long weekend - family with two kids- visiting family. The location is fantastic- lots of restaurants and stores. The service was great too- staff couldn't be friendlier. Rooms were very clean but were a little tight- no storage for unpacking, air conditioning system was very loud- would wake us up at night and linens were not... More

This was my first time in Boston. The city was very enjoyable and this hotel was in a great location. The staff here was very accommodating and friendly. Just wanted to give a warning about the valet. I stayed for two days at the Lenox. As i mentioned it was a great distance from most attractions in Boston so i... More

Myself an 3 friends spent one night here and we can't say enough about the service and quality or care given to us. From doorman Peter, who gave excellent dinner recommendations, to the bellhop, front desk people or the manager who helped carry our bags out, there is not a moment when we were not cared for. The room was... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
