Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

A lovely, very convenient hotel with very good rooms and amenities. The reception and door staff were friendly and helpful. My room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The wifi was good. Although there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room there was a free service every morning in the reception area. It was available just outside the lift, and the two lifts were quite quick so it was easy to take back to the room. The main reason I chose this hotel is that it was walking distance to many attractions, Trinity Church & others, MFA & Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Prudential Centre, the parks and Esplanade etc. Also it is just 2/3 minutes to the Copley Subway Station, which is easy to use making it very accessible to the airport, to Harvard University, and to Markets & Waterfront areas. I traveled to the hotel by subway but returned by bus as the stop was less than 5 minutes walk, it was cheap and direct taking just 20 minutes. There are many bars and restaurants in the immediate area and in the hotel itself. I went to Solas Irish Bar which was a friendly busy place with quite good food (the chips could have been better). I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Highly recommend this excellent hotel as a 5 except for their City Table Resturant (seperate review). Concierge Stephanie greeted us at check in due to demand and is the standard you wish for in any hotel anywhere. “Quiet room request on booking , no problem we’ve upgraded you to a King to do this. No kettle due to city ordinance but we’ll bring you the hot water, tea and cups whenever you need. Tours, let me get that sorted while we’re getting your room ready” What a great people team. It’s all about the people, people!

Great location for shopping on Newbury Street. Also, not a bad walk to Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, etc. The lobby smells amazing, and we realized it's the toiletries they use. We had a beautiful room with two beds, a sleeper sofa and a fireplace. It was the middle of summer, so we didn't try out the fireplace, but it is a working fireplace and would be great in the winter. My teenagers loved the character of the hotel. From the mail chute to the light fixtures to the photo booth in the lobby. I loved how friendly and helpful the entire staff was. Overall, it was the perfect place for us to stay!

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Boston Conservatory. The entire staff was welcoming and helpful. They offered turn down service with chocolates (a nice evening treat) and cold water was stocked daily. The coffee and tea service in the lobby each morning was also pleasing. We dined at Solas our first evening and enjoyed the traditional Irish pub fare (although my 2 drinks were not) and treated ourselves to late night treats at City Table (John the bartender was wonderful!!)...yummy food and relaxing atmosphere. The beds were very comfortable...and the bathroom was spacious. When we checked out, they had difficulty finding our car...but we were patient and it all worked out :-) We would definitely return to the Lenox.

First time to this hotel. We’ll be back. Excellent Back Bay location, within walking distance of tons of bars, shops, and restaurants including but not limited to what’s on Newbury Street. Close to Copley T stop. Very friendly responsive hotel staff. We were in room 1004; very comfy king bed, good AC and shower/tub combo. Room service was tasty, inexpensive, and fast. Free coffee in lobby in morning. Great bar downstairs. Late night food in bar was so-so but you can’t have everything. Overall a great stay and highly recommended. I’d come back for sure.
