Staying at the Eliot Hotel is like staying with old friends. From the welcome when you park your car to check in to every time you come and go, the staff is the friendliest you've ever met. Add to that a spacious room, comfortable beds, and a marble bathroom, all set in the best spot in Boston, and it's a total winner. Set on the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue, it's a nice walk to Fenway Park and around the corner from Newbury Street. There is nothing not to love about this place, and I never stay anywhere else.
This was our first stay here and it was such a treat. We felt like we were back in one of Europe’s boutique hotels. Beautiful hotel, delightful staff, and great location. I highly recommend this elegant gem!
We were supposed to stay next door at Harvard Club but there was a booking error. Eliot offered $400 off their “usual” rate of $700. Not inexpensive! When we entered the room, there was urine and pubic hair on the toilet seat. Also, apparently our “deal” meant staying in the worst room in the hotel. We could hear conversations and a sneeze as if they were in our room. Turns out we were connected to the elevator hallway so every time the elevator was used, we could easily hear the conversation, and the heavy elevator cables woke me out of a sound sleep throughout the night. My son slept on sofa bed that was literally lopsided. This could’ve been a great experience in a beautiful hotel but it ruined an otherwise beautiful trip.
What a fabulous place! The location couldn't be better ... even had a dog park right across the street. And, every single staff member was spectacular. I was so sad to leave them at the end of my stay.
Elegant and Immaculate suites. Gracious staff. Impeccable service. Attention to every detail including hand written notes and fresh baked cookies to welcome you to your suite. Boston charm at its best. We would choose The Eliot over any hotel in Boston, looking out at beautiful, quintessential Commonwealth Avenue and minutes from Newbury Street shops and galleries.
This is my favorite hotel, perfectly situated on the Commonwealth Mall, walking distance to the Commons, Newberry Street… The staff treat you like a dear friend and are so helpful and kind. The bedrooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, and it’s very quiet. The food from the restaurant or the Harvard Club is also excellent. This beautiful, sparkling clean jewel of a hotel even welcome dogs (and they seem genuinely delighted to have them)! If you do bring your pup, or even on your own, the pedestrian walking area down the mall to the commons is so lovely. I will never stay anywhere else in Boston!
The Elliot Hotel a is European experience nestled on the best corner in Boston. The staff members are as quietly professional as they are friendly. The location is walking distance to the best shopping in Boston as well as many of the historical landmarks. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, yet with the feel of a historic mansion. It has been our families favorite Boston destination for over 25 years.
The Eliot Hotel is the best hotel in Boston. I come here every year with my mom and it is always a pleasurable experience. The staff is so accommodating to all guests. I’ve always enjoyed my time here and will continue to stay at The Eliot over all hotels in Boston. A true gem!
The staff is wonderful. The rooms are decorated old-school style -- reminded me of my grandparents house in a good way. Beds are comfortable but the sofa bed was not. Our one bedroom suite was very roomy and it was great to have an extra sink. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Location is great -- near restaurants and convenient to the T Green Line (subway).
Very Poor room. 1. Bed Mattresses were so old and saggy. 2. Shower doesn't fit an a normal size person Im only 180lbs 3. I had to use the mattress off the pull out bed on the floor. 4. I reached out to people at the desk and they had no good answers...as to what I could do. 5. The noise that comes out of the AC unit wakes you up from your sleep... 6. The building is in a convenient location for access to other ares
