Stayed here July 18-20, 2021 for a couple get-away. Old-world charm; had a suite (don't know if that was original reservation or an upgrade), but even for a 3 day stay, it was so nice to spread out; felt like we were in a little apartment. Entry hall, into a living room, french doors to the bedroom. We had a corner room, which I loved since I like people-watching and I got a 5th floor view of both Comm. Ave. and Mass. Ave. Bed was comfortable, however, I never understand feather pillows (horrible), but still slept well. Didn't even occur to me to call and ask if there are other pillows. Was nice watching TV sitting on a couch, again, gave it a more home-like feel. Bathroom was great, plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower. Nice walk-in tiled shower. One odd thing was that on a nightstand, there was an outlet box for USB plugs but it wasn't plugged in and couldn't be plugged in because the plug was too short; why there was a box with not outlet nearby is a mystery. There was another one in the living room on the desk, which worked great for our phones and watches. Don't remember ever seeing a clock in the bedroom, unless it was on the other nightstand, next to where husband slept, so this meant when I woke up in middle of night, I had to get up and go to other room to see what time it was. Room was very quiet, which we really appreciated; windows have extra pane of glass and with the heavy room-darkening curtains, it made for a comfy night's sleep. Location was perfect; we walked to cafes, dinner, shopping; only used Lyft once, to get to Faneuil Hall area to meet a walking tour. Really loved the easy access to so many things. Staff friendly; doormen pleasant and welcoming. We self-parked the car and the garage is an easy 10 min walk; never took it out while staying in the city, as you pay each time you leave the garage; didn't need car anyway.

Went to Boston from NY to take in Yankees -Red Sox game. At check in received an unexpected upgrade to 1 bdrm suite. Great room; neat, clean, a truly boutique type of hotel. Easy walk to Fenway. Close to Newberry St and good restaurants. A great stay. And Yankees won!

I wish to thank this guest for taking the time to review his stay and for the wonderful rating! It's true that the Eliot's location is truly enviable. Situated on park-like Commonwealth Avenue, in Boston's elegant Back Bay district, so many of Boston's resources lie just outside our front door, including venerable Fenway Park, only 12 minutes away by foot. It's always a pleasure to have our New York friends stay with us, and we don't even mind theYankees hats! I'm delighted this guest had "a great stay," and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming him back once again.

We stayed overnight for a date night getaway that we try to do annually. I like to try different places. This had great ratings and was near where we wanted to shop. The room was spacious for just the two of us, and clean. I did notice stickers left from the toilet paper rolls stuck to the wall (2 of them) that were not removed. The room felt damp and smelled a bit of an odor. It did seem to go away. We were told if we need a taxi to call 15-20 mins ahead of time. We had reservations at 8pm so called at 7:40pm. "No problem" we will call you with there timeframe. 15-20 mins out. We waited almost an hour before anyone came. The valet men were more than gracious. Many apologies and a couple phone calls but someone finally came to get us. We didn't realize there was a Red Sox game ending at that time so it made it difficult. Not their fault but should have realized and communicated to us beforehand. We would have called for our own car from Valet and drive ourselves much earlier. You also need to make sure they let you know that there is no room service unless you ask (towels, etc) due to Covid. The service was always nice and welcoming. It's worth trying to see if it's your fit. A great area being near Newbury St.

I wish to thank this guest for taking the time to review her stay and for the kind praise about our location, staff and rooms. We were aware and tried very hard to assist this guest with taxi service, which still, along with shared ride services, remain delayed compared to pre-Covid periods. The unusual circumstance was complicated by crowds leaving nearby Fenway Park. Prospective guests can typically expect a taxi within 10-15 minutes, but during busy periods it can still be longer. Shared ride services tend to be a little faster, but also experience delays. We quoted 10-15 minutes for this guest, but the 3 cab companies we called simply refused to respond. We tried utilizing several car and driver services as well, but before that could happen, a taxi finally arrive. We typically pride ourselves in providing proactive service, and felt terribly for the lengthy delay this guest had to experience to get to their dinner reservations. I'm delighted this guest, overall, had a good stay, and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming her back once again.

This is a classic small well accompanied hotel in the European tradition. Great walking opportunities to Gardens, Commons and harbor. Wonderful staff that treats everyone like royalty. Recommended for a couples getaway or a business trip or a combo trip. Close highway access.

I wish to thank this guest for taking the time to review his stay and for the stellar rating! In many ways. the Eliot exemplifies the dichotomy of "old" and "new" that is so typical of Boston. Our historic architecture in elegant Back Bay, houses modern designer suites, contemporary public art, and Boston's highly acclaimed Japanese gastropub UNi. Combined with our super-convenient location placing so many of Boston's resources outside our door, and our super friendly staff dedicated to providing personalized service, guests at the Eliot experience exceptional stays. I'm delighted this was the case for this guest and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming him back once again.
