Having stayed at many of the best hotels in Boston I can honestly say that the Eliot IS the best of them all. From the moment we were greeted at the door by the doormen then the reception staff and all the others including housekeeping etc we felt so genuinely wecolmed. In my opinion the Eliot was either very lucky... More

It is true that the combination of "beautiful" accommodations, a super convenient location, and above all, our welcoming staff, combine to help create great guest experiences. This hotel is special. In a historic building they managed to conserve the the historical impression also in their rooms without any kitsch and with all modern things you need. Rooms are pretty big. Coffee machine, mini bar, water, WiFi (could be better) all there. Beds are good, AC works silently. From here it is easy to walk ro Cambridge,... More

I thank this guest for taking the time to review his stay and so very much appreciate his acknowledgement of the Eliot Hotel's distinctiveness. The Eliot is certainly not a "cookie-cutter" hotel. Independently owned by the same family since the 1930's, the Eliot truly blends its historic architecture with a contemporary interior design that in many ways exemplifies what makes... More

Had a wonderful 2 nights in this hotel in Aug 16. The room was huge and very comfortable. The bed was amazing and the best I have ever had in any hotel, even better than my own at home. The staff were very pleasant and polite. My only criticism would be the size of the en suite, bit too small!!!

I wish to thank this guest for taking the time to review her stay and am absolutely thrilled that her 2 nights at the Eliot were "wonderful." The Eliot is primarily an all suite hotel, so our spacious suites certainly contribute to our guest's comfort. This, of course, includes what is most important for a good night's sleep, the comfort... More

I wish to thank this guest for taking the time to review his stay and for such kind comments about our "impeccable" service and staff. As a personalized service hotel, we are committed to ensuring our guests feel welcome and comfortable, and do indeed want all of our guests to return! We were married on Friday, and decided to splurge on a few nights at the Eliot as a mini-honeymoon. A decision I deeply regret. We arrived on Friday still dressed in our wedding attire. There was no door man and we were forced to struggle through the two doors with our luggage. Upon arriving at the front desk, I was... More

I wish to thank this guest for taking the time to review her stay. It is indeed an honor that the Eliot was this guest's hotel of choice for her mini-honeymoon. I very much regret, however, that the hotel was unable to provide the kind of acknowledgement and service to fulfill this guest's expectations. Weddings can be exhausting and returning... More

Here for daughters college graduation. Old lovely historic building. Two doormen outside who were very helpful all the time .Corner property. Elegant yet very small lobby & entryway really just to walk through. No real lounging area. Very small check in/out window as building is old. Cool original elevators . Room which was a double/double "suite " was good enough... More

I wish to thank this guest for taking the time to review her stay at our "lovely historic" hotel. It is true that our "elegant" lobby is small. Loved the Eliot, very close to Fenway and Northeastern University. The rooms are very well appointed, nice bathrooms. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Parking is very expensive, $48 per day !

I wish to thank this guest for taking the time to review his stay. It is gratifying to know he "loved the Eliot," and that he found favor with our accommodations and location! We stayed for a few days in Boston as we dropped off our kids for university. GREAT hotel and location! Loved the suite, staff is so friendly, great cookies 😊!! Only complaint is that the wifi is terrible. That's the only reason it didn't 5 stars. Otherwise it's a lovely combination of an updated vintage hotel with a lovely staff!

We chose this hotel for the proximity to Fenway. Easy 5-10 minute walk. Good price for this area of Boston. Room was updated but still had a classic feel. On-site restaurant and bar was convenient with some killer sushi and cocktails. Staff was attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Great place to stay, full of character and spacious well maintained rooms. The staff were all very friendly and helpful too. Some great local pubs and restaurants nearby as is Fenway Park. Not a fan of Japanese food so didn't try the on-site restaurant.

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
