stayed overnight and enjoyed the neighborhood; walking distance to Newberry Street. The room was pricey and while the bedroom and sitting area was spacious the bathroom was tiny, inappropriate to the room size. our experience with the front desk was that they were at best indifferent, while the lobby staff was the opposite; friendly and helpful at all times. if... This is a nice historic property featuring nice suites. The room furnishings were dated though. It is close to the baseball stadium where the Red Sox play, so it is great for seeing a game. It seemed to be a bit pricey, given its dated furnishings.

The Eliot Hotel was absolutely amazing from the service of the valet, the doorman and the front desk. Everyone was welcoming and friendly and made our stay one we won't forget. The hotel is very elegant and charming. We were upgraded to a corner suite which was spacious and absolutely beautiful. We went out to dinner and when we returned,... More

Stayed at a few hotels in Boston and this one was clearly the best. Staff were very friendly to us and even gave us an upgrade. Even without the upgrade it would've been a great hotel as the rooms are open, clean, and comfortable. Great quiet location in Back Bay but still close enough to plenty of food and attractions... A well maintained older hotel on the Commonwealth. Walking distance to just about everything you need. The entire hotel is smoke free which I love. Valet parking is 48$ for 24 hours. Pretty standard for the hotels in this area. The lobby is old world charm from the late 20's. The staff is very attentive. I needed ice and within... More

Stayed three nights in corner suite. Very elegant and comfortable. Small bathroom. Walking distance to Fenway Park, Newbury Street and Boston Public Garden. T station one block away. If you valet your car, allow an hour to have them pull your car at check out.

Everything was perfect: Friendly staff, very nice room, convenient location close to newburry street. We had a great suite, stylishly decorated. The only complain is that the sofa bed was not comfortable at all (our 10 year old complained and she usually can sleep anywhere). Nice buffet breakfast, nothing fancy but they had everything we needed. Again, staff was very... More

We stay here every time that we come to Boston. Across the street is Newbury Street with its many stores and cafes and Fenway is within easy walking distance. The staff is excellent and friendly, the rooms well decorated and spacious, and the Uni restaurant associated with it is perfect for after game drinks and sushi. Perfect for couples, families... Quick anniversary trip to Boston. Incredibly nice staff, great location and we were upgraded to a lovely room. Our biggest challenge was the temperature. With Boston having a heat wave, the hotel's AC just couldn't keep up --- at midnight, our thermostat was set on 50 degrees and the temp in our room was 74 degrees. Not a huge deal,... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighborhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
