Spent 5 nights in the hotel. We stayed in a "cosy" room. It was small enough, but it was fine as we didn't spend a lot of time there. The room clean, comfy bed., flat screen tv, iron and a safe. If you want wifi you need to pay. But it is free downstairs in lobby.drinks were a little expensive....

Stayed here between Christmas and New Year. Had booked a twin room but was disappointed on arrival to have to pay extra for 2 seperate beds (I assumed that twin rooms meant 2 beds?). After the initial hiccup the rest of the stay was pleasant. Centrally located for everything and beautiful decor inside the main areas. Rooms were basic but...

I booked one night at the Boston Park Plaza hotel recently since I was going to attend a concert in Boston. I ended up cancelling the reservation 80 hours beforehand, more than enough time to satisfy the 48-hour cancellation policy (and no, it wasn't a nonrefundable reservation). I ended up being incorrectly charged for the night by the hotel and...

The hotel is central 3 minutes walking from the Common 1 minute walking from the metro. The Hall is wonderful, but a little bit too noisy, is it really necessary to have always music? My room was ok, clean with a nice way on the town. The only negative point the absence of a flexible tube for the shower.

It's a nice hotel, well located with a really good restaurant. But the rooms are small and not really clean. The carpet is full of dust behind de furniture and that for me it's a deal breaker, especially for the price they charge. Honestly I wouldn't come back.

We stayed in a cosy king room, which I would say was cosy (similar to IBIS hotel size bedrooms) However, for the time we actually spent in the room, it was fine. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to stay here for those wanting a central location. Only...

The hotel is perfectly fine. Not luxury or boutique-y, but completely acceptable. Seems clean. You can hear through the walls a bit. Many rooms have no view. Make sure to put the 'do not disturb sign' on your door, or else the cleaning staff will walk in your room at 8am. There's a lame daily facility charge for internet/gym that...

Certainly would not be my first choice besides the good location. I don't appreciate pet friendly hotels that have carpet in the rooms which, looked long overdue for a cleaning. Plus, the $15.00 facility fee is a ripoff.

This hotel is ideally located if visiting Boston on vacation. Close to Boston Common and midway between attractions in either direction. Is also a short walk from the station as we took a train to New York to continue our trip. Unfortunately the manner and attitude of the staff greatly let this hotel down. They display a very obvious lack...

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
