When you enter the hotel you'll be impressed, a short trip up the escalator to the reception area to check in. Fast check in and very accommodating to meet our needs with an early check in. The room was large with a relaxing seating area.large enough to stretch out. The room had an awesome view of Boston Harbor and the...

Dear Dakotaducks – Thank you for the 5 star review. I really appreciate the fact that you found the Hotel in pristine shape from a housekeeping perspective. Nothing is more important than a clean facility in my mind and it sets the tone for a great stay. I hope you will be back with us in the near future.

Location is perfect. Subway is right out the front door. North End and lots of things to do within short walk or if you just walk to sit to people watch - the park is next door. Rooms are very nice. My only complaint is hallway noise. Also door slamming. Good that the door is not so heavy has most...

Dear susan-lincoln – I appreciate the nice review. I’m sorry that the visit wasn’t as relaxing as it could have been. We do add additional security patrols on the guest corridors to help proactively with noise. For the most part, we are extremely successful, but it seems in this case we did fail you. Hope to have you back soon.

I was here for a one night business trip. I arrived early, before 9AM, so the only room available at that time was an interior room with frosted glass that overlooked an interior conference area. Wanting to re-organize my stuff for a day of meetings, I took the room. The room was fine. Dark but fine. The interior rooms are...

Dear EnterprisingTraveler – Thank you for the review. I appreciate the praise of our staff – they work very hard on being as friendly and accommodation as they possibly can be. The interior rooms are loved and hated depending on personal preference. Many love how quiet and spacious they are, others like you would prefer a view of the Greenway...

I recently stayed here for a conference and was not disappointed. The price was hefty, but the property is beautiful. Rooms are clean, stylish, and roomy, and the views of Boston Harbor are fantastic. Staff is very accommodating and helpful, and the location can't be beaten. Right next to the Boston Aquarium, directly across the street from the Quincy Market...

Dear ckassotis – Thank you for a great review. I appreciate the time you took to inform the Trip Advisor community regarding your visit to the Marriott Long Wharf. I look forward to your return visit. Please be reminded that less expensive rates are available in the late fall and winter when tourist and business travel falls off a little.

On a recent business trip to Boston I stayed at this property. It has gone under a recent renovation and it it lovely!! The view of the Harbor from the patio is amazing!! There is a nice 24-hour workout facility with an unlimited water cooler, towels, disposable earbuds, and fruit! The room I stayed in was very nice with plenty...

Dear KThom_3 – Thank for the great review. I truly appreciate it. The fitness facility is very high on a lot of traveler’s wish list when reviewing Hotel amenities. I have to say our facility is always busy, but never over crowded, so we certainly have invested wisely in it during the renovation build out. Complimentary wi-fi will be available...

Decided to come to Boston for a short weekend getaway and used my Marriott points to stay here, the hotel was awesome and the location couldn't be beat. My only minor issue with the hotel is the rates they charge for parking BUT I expected a $50 charge as parking in Boston is ridiculous in general and parking at any...

Dear ShannonW3 – Thank you for such a detail review on Trip Advisor. Parking is expensive in downtown Boston unfortunately. There are some public lots that are less expensive but fairly inconvenient, we feel the convenience of dropping the car off at the front door and have it professionally valeted in a covered lot with 24/7 security is worth the...

Booked the Marriott last minute for an impromptu birthday celebration. Nothing bad to say about this hotel. From top to bottom they much more than three stars. Every member of the staff goes above and beyond the call of duty. They checked me in early, accommodated our every request, and made our stay utterly spectacular. The hotel is centered near...

This location was great for downtown Boston and really could be a great place to explore during an evening or morning walk (which I did not have time to do). Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
