The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.

In town overnight for business, but because of flight delays, I got in around 2 AM and had a 7:15 AM breakfast meeting. I've been here before and liked it enough to come back. Great location, particularly if you have time for dinner - go to Legal Seafood, across the street. Check-in was quick and easy (use mobile check-in if a member of Marriott's loyalty program Bonvoy) The room was spacious, quiet and had a great view of the water. Highly recommend.

This Marriott has an excellent location in downtown Boston. It is right on the waterfront and within walking distance of many local attractions such as Little Italy, Quincy Market and the Boston Aquarium. We stayed in a small suite that was very comfortable with 2 separate areas: living room and bedroom, and both rooms had large 55” TV sets. Also, the room had very nice views of the harbor. The hotel has a nice restaurant and bar in the lobby level, and also in the lobby level is the Concierge Lounge (M Club) which is very comfortable and has 2 levels. Breakfast at the Club is excellent because you have full access to the regular restaurant buffet, so the food variety is great and the quality was outstanding. The hotel also has a very large fitness center, and indoor pool and a large outdoor deck overlooking the harbor. If you need to be in Downtown Boston, I highly recommend this Marriott.

We stayed in Boston many times over the years. This was our first stay at Marriott Long Wharf. Every time you leave the hotel, you have quick access to many exciting things: music, Quincey Market, The North End, the T, and of course the wharf. We’re already planning our return trip. One thing to note, when they ask if you want to wait for a room with a view at check in, say yes. Otherwise you end up with a room without a window. Bizarre!

The waterfront location is terrific for its great views and easy access to sightseeing attractions and tours ( land and water) and many nice restaurants. We enjoyed the Duck Tour and dining in the North End. Tried the Barking Crab restaurant but the hour and a half wait was too long. Only downsides to the hotel were the small pool and pricey parking and breakfast ($100 for 3 people).

The location is excellent. Near the aquarium, a short walk to the North End, the financial district and Faneuil Hall. Guest room are pretty standard for Marriott. Front Desk staff was excellent. Executive Lounge is closed on weekends, which was a disappointment. Overall, a pleasant stay.
