This hotel is by far my favorite in Boston. It has an excellent downstairs bar along with great rooms and overall hotel. Just wanted to say Stu the bellhop out front of the hotel was the nicest guy I met in Boston was helpful and friendly (even though I was a steeler fan lol). The location of the hotel is...

Right on the harbour, stones throw from the lovely Quincy market area and a 5 minute walk to downtown Boston and the common. Pleasant bar/restaurant, really friendly, helpful staff throughout the hotel. The rooms are the usual marriot style rooms....a bit bland and boring, but a decent size with all the necessary facilities. This was my 10th visit to Boston,...

The Marriott Long Wharf is located on the waterfront adjacent to the North End. That puts it within just a few blocks of the heart of the North End -- the Old North Church, Paul Revere's house, amazing Italian restaurants -- as well as other famous historic sites such as Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, etc. It is a nice area...

My husband and I stay at the Marriott Long Wharf for about a week every year around Christmas. Although the hotel is always lovely, I've never gotten around to writing a review. This year was different!! We arrived and were checked into a king room with sofa bed. When we got into the room, we realized our upper floor room...

It was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. Room heating, service, cleaning was perfect. It is very close to every place that must be seen in Boston. But I still cannot understand, why wi-fi is still sold for the rooms in 21th century. I gave 4 stars because of this. The rest of the things were perfect.

We recommend this hotel as the location is perfect for Boston especially if you're a tourist or connecting with Amtrak. South Boston station is walking distance away, as is Faneuil Hall and the North End Italian area. Nicely kept Marriott, modernised, clean and very friendly staff. Particularly liked the lobby shop and self service guest laundry, will return.

Our first visit to this location. Very nice Marriott, in a great location on the water. We are Gold members, so we got an upgrade upon check in.. nice job! Great view from our room. Room was modern and very clean. High speed internet worked fine for our 2 night stay. We ran into a few problems with our stay,...

I was recently at the Marriott Long Wharf for two nights on business. So, disclaimer, I was not footing the bill. However, I would definitely consider this hotel if I were to return on a personal visit. The location is great -- right across from the wharf and the aquarium with wonderful water views from my 3rd floor room. The...

All of the great things I commented on last year still hold true: location, efficient elevators, friendly service, lovely decor, nice sized room, comfortable bed, crisp linens. Negative comment: The absurdly small plates provided in the Concierge Lounge for breakfast. It was a bit comedic watching people try to fit strips of bacon on to a plate that was 2-3...

Being a Marriott fan, i stay at as many as I can! This is a very nice property. It is exactly what you would expect of a nice Marriott Hotel. It is a great location right on Boston Harbor where all of the boat tours leave. Also it is a half block away from all of the Hop-on Hop-off 1st...

Dear MGKelly - thanks for the great review. The location is the best in the city. We love the Black Rose. Not only a Boston favorite for Irish Pubs, but one of the best venues for live music 7 nights a week and we are fortunately 1 block away. Hope to have you back with us soon for some more...

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
