The new first and second floor lobbies are a big improvement. The rooms are well appointed and some of the views over the city are excellent. The location in the Back Bay is excellent as well - connected to Copley Place and the Prudential Center. My only beef is with the very slow elevator service, which they claim to be... More

Located in the Prudential Center Copley Plaza area the Marriott Copley Place is an updated hotel with nice rooms, good beds, and good views. The windows are large, but a bit higher than normal, but one can see out from the beds to the harbor and city. Hotel elevators are being upgraded, but no too slow. It is a perfect... More

The lobby on the 1st flor and the bar and restaurant on the 2nd floor are excellent. The gym on the 5th floor is very good, so is the pool. Room service offers high quality food. I was given a large suite but the bed was not comfortable, coming out of a closet, as there was a space between the... More

We stayed there during a college graduation weekend. Very busy time. The hotel let us check in early, by that I mean before 10 am, since they had a room ready and we flew in at 8 am. This was very helpful since my husband found out the night before he had a report to write. While he stayed in... More

My Dad ran the marathon and it was in the perfect location. This hotel is pretty much inside the mall, which was really nice. Although it was VERY busy, it was in a fabulous location and I got to walk to the finish line and to other places very easily. The breakfast was very expensive and not worth the money.... More

Dear Madam, We thank you for having stayed with us during the 2014 Boston Marathon weekend. It is historically an extremely busy weekend for the city, although it was even busier this year as a result of the people's response to the terrorist attack of last year. We are delighted to learn that you enjoyed your stay, as well as... More

We had a good stay at the Marriott Copley Place, our room was spacious and on the 25th floor with a view of the bay. Location was excellent for sightseeing in Boston, within an easy walk to a lot of T stations. There are shops attached to the Marriott building, several restaurants nearby, and even the river was within walking... More

Tired looking property, only one sports bar/ restaurant, small bathroom, poor amenities, old ugly carpet, slow elevators. Great location. There are definitely better options in the area, even if you have to pay more. I see no reason to stay here again.

Marriott generally never disappoints, so when we went to Boston for my daughter's graduation, we chose this hotel because of it's proximity to Fenway Park - a hop-skip-and-jump away. The room was clean and up to Marriott's standards, but when I viewed the pictures on-line, I believed we would be getting a room with a living-room area. We had only... More

Dear Madam, Thank you for taking the time to write about your experiences following your stay with us. I was pleased to learn that you enjoyed our location and cleanliness. I arrived at the Copley Place Marriott late after a delayed flight. The previous week had been spent in two different Marriots across various states in the US and both were fantastic, as Marriots always are. The lobby is ok as far as lobby's go, simple and modern. The reception desk is where my problems started. From our room allocation... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
