Stayed 1 night at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. We started at the Sheraton, but the pool was closed so we moved over to the Marriott to use the pool. Unfortunately their pool was also shut temporarily. We were still really glad we switched because the Boston Marriott Copley was a much nicer hotel in terms of being recently renovated, modern, clean. So for anyone debating the 2 hotels, the Boston Marriott is much more modern whereas the Sheraton is pretty old school and could use a refresh. We stayed in a standard king room at the Boston Marriott and it was comfortable. The check-in person was very nice and friendly (young blond woman). The location is fantastic - there is a pedestrian bridge that connects the hotel to Prudential Center mall. It's covered so even in bad weather, you wouldn't need to go outside. It's also connected to Copley Place. We enjoyed lunch at Yard House. The self parking was also super convenient. Would stay here again.

Hotel's Favorite
From the moment I checked in until the moment I checked out, every request was met with a smile and a yes! I love it when I get yeses. All the staff were pleasant, accommodating, courteous, and cheerful. No they were not girl scouts or boy scouts. But just delightful to be around. My room was clean, really clean. I did have an excellent view by the way from the 28th floor. I was there as part of a medium sized convention. Our food was good, well prepared and served piping hot. The wait staff were delightful, quickly removed spent plates etc. Here's an example of what I consider to be serviced. I called the front desk because my remote control for the TV wasn't working. I assume it was a battery. And the light burned out in my closet. It wasn't 5 minutes before there was a knock at my door with a replacement remote. The electrician had gone home for the night, but there was a promise to have that problem fixed in the morning. When I return to my room the closet light was working. A couple of things that were not deal breakers. My mattress was way way too soft. Not like comfy soft, just soft. The bathroom which was lovely, did not have adequate towel bars or hooks to hang cosmetic bags and towels. So very pretty, not as practical as I would have liked. Again neither of these things were not deal breakers to me. I would happily stay there again, and I feel comfortable recommending this hotel to everyone

Only stayed one night so it was too quick of a visit. It’s a Marriot so you pretty much know what you are getting. Let me say the only positive thing - the location is excellent. In the Back Bay, you can walk and see so much. The bad side is the price per night is too much for what you get. But hey, I understand, it’s the heart of Boston. Paid $400 for my one night and got zero personal service. Seems like a small thing but at least provide those tiny water bottles in the room as a complimentary service for the price we paid. Instead, they have two water bottles for $4.00 each. Only provide two bath towels (there were two adults, one child). One towel had a black grease stain. There were two long hairs in the shower. I understand this could have been a simple oversight and not that the room wasn’t cleaned, but it was still a bit sloppy. When I completed the hotel survey afterwards, I noted these things. They responded that they have those tiny complimentary water bottles behind the front desk. Who would know that?! No one offered them. I fully expect to pay around this amount the next time I go to Boston but I think there are probably other hotels nearby that give you a bit more for your money.

This hotel has two main things going for it, the location and the views if you are on a high enough floor. Sadly the cons outweigh the pros for us. The hotel is undergoing renovation and our room on the 31st floor was subjected to noise so great that you could not hear yourself think. IMHO it is unconscionable that Marriott is putting people in rooms that will be subjected to that level of noise. Other drawbacks - the hotel was very cold both in actual temperature in our room and in decor in the public areas. The thermostat in the room seemed to measure the temperature incorrectly; we could set the temperature well up in the 70’s and still would feel cold. (We are from New York so our experience with temps is comparable to Boston’s.) A related problem is that the thermostat shut off overnight on its own, so even if you managed to get the room warmed up when you went to bed you woke up cold. The decor in the public spaces is very cold, not warm and inviting in the least. The area where breakfast is served is a sports bar and singularly unattractive for any other use. And as is typical for hotels, breakfast was quite expensive. Fortunately there are many other food options in the area which are both nicer and less expensive. Be aware also that parking is up to $65 per night, so you’re better off to not have a car; public transit is close by. One last comment, the day before we arrived I tried calling the hotel with a question. The phone rang 19 times before I gave up and hung up.

This is a huge hotel. Emily checked us in at reception and she was so helpful. Asked where we were from and where we were travelling to. Nothing was a problem to her. A lovely friendly face and a real credit to the hotel. We were allocated rooms on the 11th floor. The view was amazing and the room must have been recently refurbished as it was spotlessly clean. Bed was really comfortable. Everything was just great. The hotel is in a great central area of the city with lots of eating places around.

A very well run Marriott, which is about 1/2 way done in updating rooms. Request a renovated room, although the older ones aren't too bad. I had an old room the first night (wonderful view!), and it was next to the elevator shaft, so noisy, and the manager kindly moved me to a new room. The hotel has great food options in=house, and is connected by an enclosed walkway to an upscale shopping mall with some excellent restaurants. It's a 10 minute walk to Boston Commons, and overall a convenient place to stay. One minor complaint, which I've seen in several rooms lately. The new design has a translucent bathroom door, and there is a bright LED night light in the bathroom that is always on and lights up the room. I wish they'd put a switch on the light. I'm just someone who likes the room dark. I carry tape and cover the light. imo it's a really bad design.

stayed here for 2 nights. Parked the car with valet parking - which is expensive - but its Boston. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Close to everything. Check In was quick. Being Titanium Elite got a nice welcome package as well. I was on the 14th floor. There is construction and renovation going on at the hotel but i did not feel in much. Room was quite big and comfortable. Being an elite member i got high stream internet. They have a lounge on the 2nd floor. Great coffee and great variety at the lounge . They have a Yard House restaurant on the 2nd floor but they dint have a lobby bar which is shortcoming. Their elevators are extremely slow and some of them were giving out a bad odor. Decent hotel for business travelers.

Hotel is terrible loud. The noise at night makes it impossible to sleep. I asked for ear plugs but they do not have any. The yard has good food but also super loud. My Apple Watch shower noise level from 85 at the restaurant and 75 at night in the rooM. Valet parking is expensive. On the other hand good location and clean and renovated rooMs

This hotel is centrally located with many restaurants and shopping! The Copley square and the library was very near. The Charles river esplanade was less than 15 minute walk and we enjoyed our stay here. The staff was courteous and the rooms appeared to be new, it was well kept and clean.

We stayed at the Boston Marriott Copley Place Aug. 20-24. We are Marriott rewards members and this hotel is in the Back Bay area close to Fenway and other attractions. After a 9 hour drive from Toronto, we arrived around 7:30 pm. First of all, valet parking with in and out privileges must be for the rich and famous - $70 US a night and you can't park your own car, so you must rely on the valet to get it for you. Alternatively, the option we chose was the Copley Place Parking Garage with entrance right beside the Valet parking garage at a much more reasonable rate ($42/day). When we finally got to check in, we were given Room 2323. The a/c was blasting on high and the controls did not let us adjust it lower or off - it was broken. We went for a late dinner at the Yard House, a highlight at this hotel with good food, service and tvs to watch all your favourite sports. When we returned to our room after dinner, no change with the a/c. Around 10 pm we called the front desk who sent maintenance up promptly to check the unit. He confirmed it was broken. He asked if he could shut it off and brought in a fan. At over $400/night, this was not what I had in mind for a luxury stay. With the silence of the a/c off, now we got to enjoy the sound of laundry carts banging through the Staff Laundry room located right behind our headboard. Really? Could you not configure this room any other way? So no a/c and banging of laundry carts all night long. At 6 am and no sleep I called the front desk to request another room. They did apologize on the phone and provided us with a room on the 29th floor. All good - a/c, no banging noise. There is a Starbucks on the 2nd floor. Service is terrible as well as the coffee. We enjoyed the rest of our stay. On check out day, I made a point of handing in our keys to speak to a Marriott representative at the front desk. I explained how disappointed I was as a Marriott member to not be compensated in some way for the inconvenience of our first night's stay - even a voucher for dinner or something! She listened to my speech, then simply replied "Thank you". Wow! I will not be back, simply because of the lack of compassion and horrible customer service.
