I went to a conference at the Westin Copley Square and stayed at this Marriott property because it was next door. It took me a day to figure out I could get to the Westin through the mall. It was great because it happened to rain & I was not prepared. The hotel is very busy & catering to business... More

This is a huge hotel, it reminds me a bit of the Marriott on Times Square. It is really busy in the lounge areas, and the service is spotty. My room was high and I had a nice view, but the room did not appear to be recently renovated, popcorn ceilings, low ceiling. The furnishings were typical Marriott, and the... More

Service was excellent! The over all hotel and room was ok for a big city. Room was over $700'a night and was just a standard Marriott hotel room you find any where. Great location so I guess you are over paying for the location.

Although i was only in Boston for two nights and we only needed a place to stay before going to cape cod but I can assure you the Copley place hotel "Marriott" is a very modern and resourceful place to stay. Bedrooms are very spacious and soaps, towels, hair driers and a mini fridge are all supplied by the Marriott and bed... More

Stayed with my wife for a few days during her congress, from June 10 to the 15th. Very good room and accomodations. The hotel has a connection with the nearby mall, making it easy to visit it without having to face the cold Boston wind. However, for the first time since I started travelling, be it for pleasure, for business... More

I stayed here for a conference in early July. My expectations were low primarily because I stayed at this location many years ago and recall it as being only so-so. I must say the hotel has been completely renovated and it was a first rate experience! I was lucky enough to be given a corner king room on the 25th... More

The check in line is followed up quickly with very professional, friendly front desk agents that try to accommodate room requests. The short walk to the elevators reveals an impressively modern elevator bank. There is a large touch screen where you choose which floor you are going to and it will tell you which one of the 12-14 elevators to... More

We went to Boston to attend a Red Sox/ Ranger game. This marriott was in a great location- it was about a mile walk to Fenway. Its also connected to a mall and walking distance to great restaurants. Hotel was clean beds were nice and for the 3rd we could see the fireworks from the suburbs. On the 4th of... More

This hotel is an excellent location. The hotel is very large and is connected to the Copley Center so you can stay in the hotel and stay inside going all around a block or two shopping without having to go outside. The hotel staff is very well trained. There is a fun restaurant and bar area on the second level... More

The best part about this hotel is location location location and the very pleasant staff that they have working here. The staff was very helpful and very nice throughout our stay. We stayed on the "concierge " level which is Marriotts version of a club level. Having done these club levels many times before this concierge level left a lot... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
