The Boston Marriott Copley Place garners appreciation for its spotless and modern rooms with picturesque city views, though a few guests find the spaces cramped and take issue with the extra charges. Its prime location is a highlight, placing visitors steps away from shopping, attractions, and public transportation. The hotel's array of amenities, such as the acclaimed lounge, pool, and gym, receives frequent commendation.
While the atmosphere is generally considered contemporary and welcoming, some critiques point to outdated elements. The staff's friendliness stands out, although the service can occasionally falter. Despite the overall praise for cleanliness and amenities, several travelers question the hotel's value, pointing to steep prices and average offerings.

Review: We had stayed at the Marriott Copley on two previous occasions and after a great experience both times, we were confident it was the best hotel to stay at for our third visit. This stay has been our favourite one of all! The hotel is a fantastic location, being attached to the Simon Mall and with a walkway to the Prudential Centre, and only a 5 minute walk to the Logan Express bus stops- all of which we were very grateful for when it was -12 degrees celcius weather for two days! Everywhere is immaculately clean and well organised, and a concierge is at the desk from early in the morning for any queries. Two members of the Marriott Copley team who really made our stay special and went the extra mile were Anthony R and Ace. I had reached out to the hotel about our stay prior to arriving, and Anthony R replied and very kindly offered us a room upgrade to one of the lovely corner rooms. When we then arrived to our wonderful high floor room, there was a delicious Welcome Amenity package of Macarons, Cookies, Chips and Water and Ice Tea, and a welcome note from Anthony. Thank you so much Anthony for the fantastic room and lovely surprise amenity package! The room itself was very spacious, great heating/air con system, a huge tv and with a Keurig coffee maker and fridge. When we checked in we were warmly greeted by Ace- we were travelling with our young daughter and he took the time to speak to her and then brought across a box with soft toys that she could choose one from to keep. Her face lit up and he really made her day after a long travel day! He then also offered us bottled water which we very much appreciated after our flight! The whole check in and check out process is well organised, even when we walked through when it was very busy with conference attendees, all the staff remained friendly, welcome and calm when speaking with guests. We’ve stayed at the Marriott Copley as a couple and now as a family of three and it’s ideal for both groups. We loved our stay and look forward to visiting again!

This is my second stay at the Marriott Copley Square in a couple months and both times were great! We had a double queen bed room on the top floor (38) and the view was incredible! The room was very clean and well organized. The bed is so comfy. This room could easily sleep 4 people or a family with 2 or 3 small kids. The shower had a rain shower head and it was so peaceful. The bathroom was very clean and all the amenities you need were included. I am a Bonvoy member so I had free Wifi, but it is $12-16 if you need WiFi and are not a member. The TV has Netflix and Amazon Prime. There is a $25 destination fee included when you book and you can use it at the Restaurant which is what we did. There are gluten free options at the restaurant. We also got the free tickets for the Hop On, Hop Off bus tour. This is a very large hotel and it is connected to shopping centers, but I just find that to be a huge convenience! There is also a connected paid for parking garage. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We got to the hotel very early as we had just got off a weeks cruise back into Boston and expected to wait for our room until later in the day (check in is after 4pm). Reception staff were brilliant and allocated us a newly renovated room straight away, to say we were pleased is an understatement. We were taken to our room by the bell boy who was amazing and very friendly, showing us how to use things in the room etc even giving us info about the upcoming weather for Boston. The room had been renovated and was very comfortable and modern on floor 14. We didn't hear any noise from other guests at all and we stayed for four nights. The cleaning staff did a great job every day too, we had more than enough clean towels, coffee and toiletries! There is a Starbucks at this hotel as well as a place called The Yard, you can go there for drinks or meals etc, it is a busy little place on times. The hotel is situated opposite The Prudential Building and has a skyway link over the road so you don't have to navigate crossing the road outside, very handy especially when you get a downpour. The skywalk takes you straight into the shopping centre which has lots of big name brand shops. There is a CVS just as you enter the centre, convenient but we found it to be small and expensive compared to the massive grocery store just outside the centre called Star Market. The locals shop here and you could get everything you might need much cheaper. If you are looking to do The Boston viewing experience in the prudential tower you can book it and access it in the shopping centre, we did and were the first people up the tower that day, it is amazing and really worth doing as you can view all of Boston and beyond for $37 and spend as much time as you like up there. The hotel is well situated for transport, the T station is just around the corner and the Public Library is just a block away (with free wi fi). This is a great hotel and we were very pleased we chose it for our stay in Boston.

We had a very comfortable and relaxed stay here at Marriott Copley Place. The room was so cozy and comfortable. Very well designed and decorated. The sitting area was so cozy and comfortable. We have never seen a hotel with such a comfortable sitting area. We chose the City View room and we were on the 30th floor. The hotel has at least 6 elevators which we never had to wait long for. Everything was spender from the restaurant to the lounge and everyone was so kind, courteous and helpful. The room and carpet were extremely neat and clean. The Tv was large and on a swivel so we could see it from anywhere in the room. The room exceeded our expectations.
We thought that the valet parking was a bit expensive so we chose to self park in the parking garage adjacent to the hotel at the Copley parking garage. Which is connected to the hotel through the mall via a skywalk. You can also walk across the street to the hotel and not take the skywalk which was quicker in our opinion. We prepaid for parking using the Spot Hero website which was $82 for 48 hours. Valet parking was $140 total for two nights excluding tips. Keep in mind that the prepaid parking garage is not an in and out garage. Once you leave your time is up. Which was ok by us because we planned on leaving our car there for the weekend anyway.
The hotel is in a great location to take a walk to local stores. It’s also connected to an upscale mall with places to eat like Legal Seafood. It’s also connected to the Prudential Center via a second skywalk through the mall. The Prudential view and city history is amazing. Definitely do that if you never have.
The metro station is adjacent to the hotel as well if you want to take the train to various locations in the city. We decided to sleep in so I can’t comment on the restaurant at breakfast but lunch was very good with a cozy romantic quiet table setting toward the back where the curtains are which was Very Nice!
The hotel is very large so you have to be mindful of what exit you are going out of and what floor you are on. We loved our stay here. The only negative was that our shower appeared as if the housekeeper forgot to spray down the basin after cleaning it but I took care of that with the hand wand which was a plus. Other than that it was very clean. With ample enough towels and amenities for our stay.
We would definitely choose this location again.

This hotel has a nice location. The Duck tours leave right across the street. The hotel is attached to indoor malls. We did not frequent the malls, but if you had bad weather, these would be a nice option. There is a T stop very close by. There is an indoor pool that my kids enjoyed after a day of sight seeing. We are a family of 4 and this hotel like many others only provides 3 sets of towels. Had to ask for extra towels daily. Shower water pressure could be stronger, but was adequate.
The destination fee should be clearer prior to arriving. It includes 2 free Trolley tickets. We had pre booked Duck tours (not included), but would have maybe not booked that tour and done the Trolley instead if we had known. It also includes $25 credit at the restaurant daily (does not carry over; use it or lose it). We did get 2 coffees to go one morning. The coffee was terrible. There is a Starbucks (not included for the credit) in the hotel. Would probably stay again if we got a decent rate. We paid about $550/night with fees.

Negs: Check in was slow despite being the only person in line for the (unattended) Elite check-in counter at 8 pm on a Friday. After watching multiple people assisted from the regular line, i moved to that line and continued to wait. Low water pressure. $75 parking fee. Broken TV remote ( but it was quickly replaced when I requested) . Wrong information about M lounge access at check in. Did not accommodate request for connecting rooms.
Positives: ideal location with short to walk to Newbury Stret and indoor connection to Prudential center and Copley Place. -renovated room. -helpful, friendly staff throughout the building. Whoever hires employees for this hotel should be commended. Everyone- security, housekeeping, fromt desk etc greets guests, offers assistance etc. A level of service most hotel properties are lacking today. - M Club lounge had a convenient location. Some of the friendliest hotel employees I have ever met, which made it an even more pleasant . Good variety of evening snacks . Beverage selection was better than most. - fitness center was great - city view was amazing - they charge a resort fee, but gave a $30 credit per night to the Yard House restaurant, which is in the main lobby. The credit could be used for anything, including drinks. They also gave free tickets to the observation deck at the top of Prudential Center.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this location again in the future. I believe they can improve the check-in process and the parking fee is excessive.

The front desk seems frequently understaffed: long lines with only one or two people working. The room and bed was comfortable, modern and clean. Charges a $30/day “resort fee” which you can use towards in-room or on-site dining, which were not great options. The in-room dining was basically to-go bags from the restaurant, and you could only order bottles (not glasses) of wine. The food was not so good. The elevators can be quite slow. Overall, disappointing for both the price and the brand.

Spent 3 days at this hotel - gift from a friend. Hotel is big - 34 floors. Room was spacious - you can see that the rooms have been upgraded recently - but the design is the same. Breakfast was good - take the buffet as a buck breakfast will keep you going most of the day. The hotel staff were very good - helpful and kind. It’s not a budget spot … but we were not paying. COVID and “environmental” concerns have stripped a lot of the frills out of the room - not unique to this hotel I’m sure

I was really happy with this hotel. The location is excellent and we walked to most of the places we wanted to go. The Duck & Trolley tours are right outside-recommend booking as soon as you decide you want to do it!
Clean, well appointed rooms with plenty of long, soft pillows on the bed with very comfortable bedding. The bed was perfect for my preference of medium firmness. The only complaint I have is the TV remote...old and finicky. Room service experience- doubleplus ungood. The Yardstick or whatever the restaurant is called is bad bar food and the menu is quite limited. Food arrived cold and most was inedible. Even when we went there for drinks, it was frustrating & ridiculous...we never got our drinks and it wasn't even busy. So, we went to Pinky's on Newbury a few blocks from the hotel (recommend walking Newbury Street in general)! But, I won't rate my stay on that.
P.S. I think the elevator system is great. We never waited more than a minute and never had to jam in with a crowd (especially in a large hotel like this one).

Very nice hotel. Someone said the rooms are small but they seemed to be an average hotel room size. I had two queens and the room was spacious. Shower wasn't as good as I was hoping for (but clean!) - shower head not strong, but water was hot. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Elevators are a little bit tricky and I don't know if their system actually works but I got the hang of it. Lots of areas in the hotel where you can sit with your laptop and do work. There is a Starbucks in the hotel but there is also a coffee shop right outside the front doors that has excellent coffee and good service. There is also a grocery store across the street and a fridge in the room if you want to save money. All in all, a good stay.
