While you can't beat this hotel's location and all that Marriott does to provide guests with a positive experience, we were pleased to find a new touch pad elevator system on this visit. No waiting or stopping on many floors to pick up and discard people along the way up or down. Very fast! It is a very nice upgrade... More

A very modern hotel in Back Bay anchoring the Copley Square Plaza. It is a five minute walk to the train terminal and subway system. The bar scene was vibrant, the room was clean, nice view of the river, located within walking distance of many attractions. Elevators that take you directly to your floor and a swipe-card room entrance are... More

Great location, near the best shopping and eateries. Always a pleasant staff, clean rooms. The hotel is attached to a mall with many high end shops, salons, and great food. It is easy to get to the train station via the underground.

I just wrapped up a 4 night stay. For $5, I highly recommend taking the Logan Express from thr airport. Take the Back Bay bus and it drops you conveniently off jist a block from the hotel (you can get off at either the Copley Square or Hynes Convention Center stop). Once at the hotel, I asked if I could... More

I am a rewards member who recently stayed here for a conference at the end of Jan. I wanted to check in early so I could watch the NFL playoff game. I arrived at 12:45 PM and asked for upgrade to a corner room that I have been given in previous years when here for the conference. Venessa at front... More

Good business hotel in a great location. Walk to shops and park. Nice rooms and awesome elevator system. Sometimes these large hotels bottleneck at the bank of elevators, not this one! Friendly staff. Only one bad thing, our room had terrible water pressure in the shower, nothing they could do to fix it.

This was our second stay and we ended up with double beds this time. The room was clean and nicely decorated, it had nice views, but I hated the bed. The beds felt tiny, the one we chose ended up being too soft for me so I switched in the middle of the night. We had an event in the... More

We had a night away in the city to meet some friends for a BU hockey game. We wanted to stay in the Copley area because there is a lot to do. The staff at this hotel was very friendly. As it turned out we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel other than to sleep and shower,... More

This hotel is S U P E R B U S Y as it's situated right beside a major mall and houses multiple conferences/year. The quality is amazing. Great views from the rooms. Great quality Fitness Center and Pool. Pretty much everything is fantastic about the facilities. The only thing i found annoying was the lack of quality service. These... More

We were on an Insight tour in October 2015 and stayed at the Marriott - the carpet in the entrance was filthy. The sheets and towers in our room were worn and grey and felt grimey - the view from our window was a blank cement wall. We carried our own luggage to our room... a very unpleasant experience

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
