Our locations are in the trendiest area of Boston: the South End. In the South End neighborhood, you will find wonderful restaurants, theaters, cafes and artist lofts. Our short term and extended stay apartments are very clean and we make sure they offer the latest in designer layouts: hardwood floors, Wireless Dsl, Cable TV, flat screen in most apartments, washer and dryer, cookware, cotton linens.

I recently stayed at 45 Worcester Street. The apartment was just perfect- so well appointed, beautifully decorated and maintained, comfortable, quiet, and in an ideal location. As a woman traveling alone for business, I always felt completely safe walking in this neighborhood. There are amazing restaurants within minutes of the apartment as well as markets, galleries, and public transportation options if you choose not to walk. Walter is a phenomenal host—he responds quickly to any questions or concerns, he clearly cares for the quality of your stay, and it was delightful to see Javier, the caretaker, in the mornings for a smile and a quick conversation. I will absolutely return on future trips. Thanks Walter, for making Boston feel like a home away from home! CAJ House is a gem.

I stayed here for several weeks during my assignment as a travel nurse at a local hospital. I did not bring my car to Boston so walkability was a must for me! It was not only a safe neighborhood but is in the most charming section of the South End with ADORABLE markets, restaurants, and shopping nearby. Close to the subway. I walked to work and ran to the Charles. My room was clean, furnished, & quiet. Also, very secure! Walter the owner is helpful & available with any questions. He has a lot of great knowledge of local establishments too! I will hands-down stay there again for my next work stay in Boston!

As a frequent visitor to Boston, I have stayed 7 (!!!) times at CAJ House on Tremont and intend to come back in the future. The rooms are great, the location is superb - I just love it there. Walter, the landlord, does not hesitate to go the extra mile to make your stay as pleasant as possible. One year, while I was visiting, there was a hurricane coming up and the city of Boston had asked its citizens to stay inside their homes. So, the night before the hurricane was due, Walter made sure that alll his guests were aware of the potential danger and provided a 'survival kit' with water, snacks and a flashlight. Two years ago he not only started to provide free movies to his guests but also to ensure to them a variety of access possibilties (Netflix, Amazon etc). Whenever there is a little something to fix, he adresses the issue right away, so usually nobody is aware there was a problem at all. For me as a frequent traveller who prefers the coziness of an apartment over anonymous hotel rooms, Caj House is just perfect. Please, keep in mind that these apartments are not for very shortterm stays, but for a couple of weeks to enjoy!!

Thank you for coming back to us year after year! It is customers like you that have helped us become successful. Over the years your feedback as to what worked and what did not has helped me make the necessary adjustments to make all our guest stays more comfortable. I specially appreciate your recounting of the hurricane preparedness kit episode: I had forgotten! See you soon!

I have stayed at Caj house for 7 weeks from July till August 2016. A fantastic experience to say the least. The flat was marvellously decorated and carefully designed providing all the amenities for a short visit stay. Boston during summer becomes extremely hot but I did not feel a thing thanks to the air-condition. The bathroom was big and the water always soothing. The flat screen TV is there but of no use since with wifi you can watch Netflix. The towels and bed linens clean and of high quality. The little kitchen very handy especially if you don't want to eat outside frequently. Tremont is a lively place to live and close to back bay station- about .5 miles. Fancy restaurants for seafood, brunches and tapas are in walking distance. The Caj house is my favourite place to stay in Boston and it's an experience to have.

We stayed on Tremont Street in July 2016 and it was clean and updated, except for the bathroom. It either needs a really deep clean or they need to replace some of the tile and fixtures. There was only one window air conditioner in the living room so the bedroom was very hot. The Wi-Fi after 10 PM hardly worked at all. Be prepared to walk up two flights of steps not including the outside steps which are also very steep. The location is good if you have business at the convention center.

Sorry to hear you seem not to have enjoyed your stay. I take my guest's comfort very personally. I also thrive on feedback to improve my offer. To accomplish this, at check in time and at check out time I try to prompt each guest to tell me if their apartment meets or met their needs and expectations. As far as the issues you brought up: we did look into the air conditioning and found settings were set on low. Thank you so much for the tile feedback: I have actually noticed that the grout has discolored in places due to bleaches used in cleaners so I had all our bathroom floor tiles re-grouted. As far as the WIFI: had you informed us while here we would have contacted our provider. It turns out our provider had mistakenly placed our WIFI repeaters on a radio frequency which is jam packed at night when the whole world uses WIFI: it has been fixed: our speed is 40mps download in hallways and 17mps behind apartment door! The steep stairs? Yes, this is a charming brownstone walk up building which we lovingly restored trading space and charm for an elevator. We have 3 flights to top floor apartments, 35 steps.... I always take the number of steps into account and you may have noticed the price for higher floor apartments is cheaper than lower floor apartments.

I was in Boston for three weeks for work at the MIT and the Northeastern University from May 4 - May 22. I have never been to Boston before, so looking for an accommodation for three weeks was a bit daunting. Staying in decent hotels would have taken a huge chunk off my sabbatical grant. When looking for short term lets, I found Caj House on trip advisor. I was very surprised that it would cost me much less than staying in hotels. Looking at the previous reviews, I thought I will go for it. And friends who have been to Boston really recommended the location - Southend. The best location to be in with cafes and restaurants, etc and strategic for where I was supposed to go for work. The reservation process was straightforward and Julia was very helpful in providing the right documents for my university in the UK to process. Upon arrival, Julia welcomed me and showed me my apartment (aparment 7T). It was better than I thought and the location was definitely a great choice. The weather in May was absolutely great as well. Julia and Walter were very friendly and helpful. Staying at the Tremont location meaning that Julia and Walter are both in the office on the ground/basement floor. So if you need anything, they will there on location (daytime week days). I liked my stay so much that I have booked another apartment for my next trip - three weeks in August. This time it will be at the Worcester location (apartment 5W), which is about 5 minutes from the Tremont location. Julia showed me the apartment and I love it. Now back in the UK, I have fond memories of Boston and looking forward to going back out there in August.

This is a very good short term option. I stayed for 1 month when I first relocated to Boston. The rooms are clean & comfortable; the owner and the staff are courteous and attentive. It is all very seamless and a great alternative to a hotel. Great neighborhood also. Highly recommended.

We were living at CAJ House for about 6 weeks and were very happy with it. The location of the house is excellent. Both owner, Julia and Walter, are really nice and very helpful. They visited us several times during our stay and asked if we need anything else in the apartment. We felt really good and did not want to leave again at the end. We can strongly recommend this place!

The South End Neighborhood and the CAJ Guest House were the perfect hub for a 5 week stay in Boston. The streets are gorgeous, the local dining scene is top notch and the apartments are pristine and comfortable. Walter, Julia and their staff work daily to keep guests happy and comfortable.

My girlfriend and I stayed in Tremont Street (apartment 6) for a month in June 2013. The room, which is located at the back of the building, is very comfortable and very quiet. The apartment was very clean upon arrival, and we found everything we need to cook in the kitchen. The Wifi is good, as well as the air-conditioning. The location is also great, bus and T lines are a few blocks away and there are a lot of restaurants and cafés in the neighborhood. Walter and Mike have been really helpful and responsive to our requests. Price is good compared to hotels, it was definitely worth the money. We would recommend CAJ house for any short stay in Boston.
