We were looking for a beautiful spot for our wedding in Asheville and when we visited the 1900 Inn on Montford, we absolutely found it. The location is a perfect example of classic mountain charm and class. From exquisite interior design to the most gracious innkeepers I have ever met, our experience at the inn was just what we imagined. We rented out the entire property and brought in our friend and family for a legendary experience. Our wedding party were all completely in love with the location and most of them agreed that this was the nicest place that they have ever stayed. Shawnie, Willy, and Stacey all went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and not only was the food incredible, but those cookies rocked! we all would recommend the 1900 inn on Montford for any time you are looking for a mountain retreat that you will always remember. Thanks guys, and we will see you on our anniversary!

My husband and I needed a getaway after a year of covid parenting and had heard fun things about Asheville. We looked at several options and decided to take a chance on a B&B versus the hotels in the area. We have absolutely no regrets. This inn is perfect. The hosts are wonderfully helpful and generous when you want to get feedback or advice, but don't crowd your experience at all. The breakfast is to die for and something we looked forward to every morning. It was a great way to start the day. We stayed in Zelda's retreat and ate outside on the porch. I highly recommend. The special touches and luxuries provided made us feel pampered and it was handier than you would think to be able to walk through the social area and grab some waters and a delicious cookie as you head out the door for whatever adventure or relaxing you have planned. Also, our two favorite restaurants during our stay are within blocks and an easy walk. Nine Mile (caribbean) and Chiesa (Italian) are both wonderful. Another special find for us was a beautiful pottery studio in the art district by Michael Hofman. Really beautiful things for yourself or gifts. We also toured the grounds at the Biltmore and went to the Sierra Nevada brewery. All fun. (*If you want to do the Biltmore, book your tickets well in advance.*) When we come back, we will plan a little further in advance if we want to take advantage of spa/massage type experiences.

Our family of four stayed for a weekend and we could not have been happier! It’s difficult with 21 year old twins to find a comfortable place for everyone, but the Zelda Suite was large enough for all of us to spread out. We loved having the extra room, and the private deck was perfect for reading and relaxing. The three course breakfast was unbeatable both mornings and I think our kids may have eaten their weight in the 8 different flavors of homemade cookies each day. Willy and Shawnie are so very knowledgeable about everything Asheville has to offer... you won’t find yourself short on things to do and you definitely won’t go hungry. The 1900 Inn on Montford is a special place with special innkeepers and we can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I spent a week here for our 10-year anniversary. We loved it so much, we considered opening a B&B ourselves! We were welcomed by Willy who was extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgable about the area. The breakfasts are phenomenal and Shawnie deliciously accommodated my gluten free dietary needs. We were served breakfast in our private courtyard every morning. The property and room were super clean and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The shower and mattress upgrades were luxurious, and the amenities (particularly the coffee and cookie bar!) were quite the treat. If I could give it 10 stars, I would! If you are traveling to Asheville, this B&B is a MUST.

We stayed at 1900 Inn on Montford for a babymoon this past weekend based on a recommendation from a coworker. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Shawnie, Willy and Stacey were gracious hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and felt welcome. The 3 course breakfasts were absolutely amazing, especially the chocolate croissant and tiramisu. Also, the happy hour with bluegrass music and beverages was so much fun. We really enjoyed making our own cappuccinos using the gourmet coffee maker and eating a lot of fresh baked cookies as well. When we left, Shawnie and Willy even gave us a very thoughtful gift for our baby. We will definitely be back to visit them and appreciate such a great experience.
