My husband and I had high hopes for this experience. It was THE GROVE PARK INN. It was suppose to be the ultimate experience. Sorry-- Not So. The rooms are ok. The service is hit or miss. It is really hard to actually to have dinner on the property. Book ahead-- Like months out or you will be contacting an Uber to find a place in town to eat which is limited also due to Covid restrictions. Not a fun experience. Don't anticipate just being able to enjoy the spa area and pool they promote. That is a long term plan experience. Good luck enjoying the patio deck to enjoy the money making view. Limited space and service. The best thing is sitting by the fireplace if you are lucky to get a chair. Sorry--just wanted to let you know the truth.

Hotel's Favorite
My daughter’s fam (and 3 wonderful grands ages 6,3,1) and I stayed at GPI on a recent visit to awesome Asheville NC!! The historic hotel is a marvelous museum and a true testament to the outstanding engineering and craftsmanship of the teams of builders who worked so hard to finish it in 1913!! GPI is certainly “Built for the Ages!” (that is the title of a good read in the gift shop too)! The grands had so much fun exploring inside- didn’t see the Pink Lady by her room in the Palm Court but the display of a dress that she might have worn was cool! Outside, we walked up and down the many steps and they loved all the stonework and the waterfall by the Spa! We had a great view of the beautiful golf course by the Sammons wing and even spotted several cotton tailed bunnies from our window!! I’ve been coming to visit the GPI since the early 1990’s and have always enjoyed my stays. Its many transformations over the decades have made it even better. GPI is the next best thing to visiting the Biltmore House, which we did get tickets for and had a blast there too- lots of masks and social distancing but fun anyway!!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. The building is beautiful and the view is heavenly. Our room was nice and spacious. The food is excellent. We had dinner on the terrace and our breakfast was under a covered patio. We had time to walk around and explore the beauty of being in the mountains.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent visit. I sincerely apologize for the disappointing experience. I assure you this is not characteristic of the high level of quality service and hospitality we strive to maintain across Omni Hotels and Resorts. I am aware you and our Director of Rooms, Mr. Penn, are in contact and this issue has been addressed further.

This hotel is just beautiful! Everything surrounding it is beautiful! Even if you can't get/ afford a room, it's worth making lunch or sunset dinner reservations. The food, drinks, and service are excellent. Last time we ate there I had a friend green tomato sandwich that was excellent! It doesn't matter what season you go. It will be beautiful. Just inside they have two huge fireplaces that you can sit by and relax. If you can-it's worth staying here. If not, it's worth stopping by!
