We were totally smitten when we pulled up in front of the GPI. The valet service is friendly and attentive. From the moment we walked in we were treated special. The bell hop, Jeff, was wonderful. So personable and helpful. He even clued the hotel that we were celebrating a big anniversary and they gifted us with wine, chocolates and a few other surprises. Every employee we encountered seem to enjoy their jobs. The room was clean and well appointed. We had a view overlooking the golf course. We took the shuttle to the course and are at the cabana. Delicious black bean burger. I rode with my husband as he played the course. The course is nice, not overly nice. But fun to see. We wound up ordering room service so we could watch the wonderful fireworks on 7/5. We spent a lot of time walking the property. We weren’t able to get appointments at the Spa. We did do the Saturday 9:00 tour of the Inn. Highly recommend you sign up when you check in. Jennifer was professional and well versed. Walk over to the sports center, a lot to offer there. And the shops and museums at the Grovewood village is a must. We also did the Sunset trail hike. GPI is expensive, but very magical. We would love to return.

This place was phenomenal right from the start. We were greeted at the top of the hill. Welcomed by name when we got down to the parking. Everyone the entire time we were there provided over the top, exceptional service. Hotel itself and the rooms, gorgeous. The fireplaces are so large, you can stand in them. We were on the Club floor, and Mike, Mark, John, Kristie and Celeste took care of our every need. Many thanks to all of you! Loved being able to go into the lounge for breakfast or a drink and appetizers. Shops in the main level were the nicest I have ever seen in a hotel. View from the hotel of the mountains ... is exquisite. A friend visited the spa and loved it. I was sad to leave and hope to return again some day! I also loved Asheville. What a lovely city.

Historic property full of character with good management. We had a great time during our stay and will likely come back to take advantage of other amenities we didn't have full time to explore on this trip.

Review collected in partnership with Omni Hotels & Resorts
An incredibly beautiful hotel with stacked rock formations The spa is amazing with multiple pools and waterfalls. Areas for men, women, and couples It was a bit crowded on Saturday but I had a relaxing massage and sat by the pool. Ate at the Sunset Terrace overlooking the grounds. Shared fried tomatoes, chicken lollipops, and steak. Nicky, the waiter was great and food was very good Next night went to Edison’s Had a knuckle sandwich which was basically a lobster roll, almost overpowered by tarragon The one downer was the bed. Mattress was old and soft, had back ache when I get up. The sheets were pilled. We ate breakfast in bed and accidentally got some coffee and jam on the sheet That night we noticed, it was the same sheet. It had not been changed and there were still crumbs in the bed. That should not happen at a Luxury hotel where you are paying premium prices Other than that, the staff and servers were great.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We are thrilled to hear that your experience at The Spa and Sunset Terrace were enjoyable. In the case of your room, this is not the guest experience we aim to deliver and sincerely apologize for the lack of service. We have shared your concerns with our Housekeeping management team and will use your feedback as an opportunity to better our operation promptly. We hope you will give us the chance to show you the true standard of hospitality for which we are known.

We're very fortunate to have the opportunity to travel and stay at some remarkable places...this is our favorite. For us it's a 7 hour drive to get to the Grove Park Inn...their Spa is like no other, underground grotto, absolutely beautiful with waterfalls, underwater music, it can be snowing outside and just a few steps outside the door they have a wonderful hot water pool...Sunday Brunch can not be beaten, the largest and most varied breakfast offering we have ever seen...if you can visit over the Christmas holiday, international Gingerbread contest, and absolutely beautiful holiday decorations throughout the Inn...
