This place is certainly dated but the room was clean and quiet and the bed comfy. I myself just use a motel to sleep in so this one was reasonably priced and centrally located. Easy on the freeway just down the road and near the...More
The room was spacious and tidy. Nothing fancy about this place but if you aren't looking for luxury you won't be disappointed. Nice pool area and good location. Friendly staff. I was pleasantly surprised by the continental breakfast. With healthier options alongside the must have...More
Yes, you get what you pay for, and we did, plus some. The staff was very, very nice and the beds were wonderfully comfy. This old motel was better than one of the "better" hotels that we stayed in (Marriott) later in our trip. We...More

We look forward to meeting time travelers such as yourselves, unless you meant to say you will be staying in December 2015! Just teasing. Your best bet for Christmas dining is either the Grove Park Inn or The Biltmore House restaurants, which will be decorated beautifully. Please look at Asheville's chamber of commerce website for more options during that time.
We look forward to seeing you folks,
The mountaineer inn management team
