We thought we were very lucky to find a suite at such an affordable price conveniently located in Asheville during peak season. The room was clean and comfortable if slightly run-down. This would have been a 4 or 4.5 star review, but the first night (and every night after) we realized that the walls are paper thin. You could hear every word of the conversations of people next door, not to mention the TV and dogs barking. If it had just been the dogs or loud music or something of that sort we'd have complained to the front desk, but what to do when the complaint is, "your walls are so thin that people talking in normal voices are completely audible in the next room?" There really isn't any fix for that, apart from reconstructing the entire hotel with some sound insulation or never booking adjacent rooms. Unfortunately, on 2 of our nights we had neighboring guests that talked well past midnight, and we could hear them clearly even with fans running in our room. Forget sleeping or getting up early for hiking. Despite the good price and overall reasonably nice room, I can't recommend this hotel and we'd never consider staying here in the future.…
I was a bit leary about staying here , because it's a drive up to your door motel. It seemed to be newly remodeled. The rooms were very clean and smelled good. Close to downtown and much less expensive than sleeping in Asheville. the hotel was just about full, but it was still quiet & no Interstate noise. Pool was closed because of Covid, but some wrapped breakfast items were available.
I planned a hiking trip to explore some trails in Montreat and on the BRP north of Asheville, so this hotel was in a great location between the two. I was 20 min from Montreat and only 55 min to my furthest north destination, Mt. Mitchell. The staff were super friendly at check-in/out. They apologized for not having their regular breakfast because of the rona, but that wasn’t a big deal for me, what with leaving early each morning to hike. The room was in very good shape. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and clean, even more so than I usually expect at this hotel’s price point. The water pressure in the shower was very strong, which was great. In all it was a nice stay in the mountains, and I would definitely use it as a home base again for future trips.…
My husband and I traveled to Asheville for a little romantic getaway before going to back to teaching and we hadn't been away in 2 years. We had a king suite with mountain view and 2 person hot tub. At first I was bummed out that the mountain view meant looking out the window and then to your left, but then I shrugged it off because it did have a mountain view so they weren't wrong!! And besides.... the hot tub in the room made up for it!!! The king bed was okay.....a little uncomfortable and my husband's side was squeaky. But other than the bed the room was perfect. I mean, you're paying for what you get. The check in and check out were simple and easy and the employees were super nice. At check in the woman apologized for not having the buffet breakfast because of Covid, but said they still served juice and muffins in the morning. That didn't bother us because we wanted to explore the family owned businesses in the area. The location was perfect. The furthest we had to drive was about 16 mins and that was to get to Vinnie's Italian Restaurant. Other than that, everything was really close. Biltmore is less than 10 mins from here. …
The cost for 2 nights, along with the location made it worth checking out. Beds were very hard... Too hard for my liking. Room is outdated as far as decor but it wasn't terrible. Parking alone makes this a place to avoid though.... We were on the back side of the property and the driveway was only passable with one car. Will probably consider this as a last option if needed.
