The Lion and the Rose B&B is a great place to stay for a visit to Asheville and the surrounding areas. Lisa and Madelyn start your day off with coffee outside your room followed by a wonderful gourmet breakfast in the dining room. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. After a day of hiking or sightseeing, it was... More

We (me, my 16-year old daughter, and her best friend) stayed one night after touring UNC-Asheville (just 5 min away). We were to stay in the Marion Hall room, which was lovely the 10 min we were there, then Lisa came back and said that due to a kid emergency, her housecleaner hadn't finished cleaning our bath (which looked immaculate... We were visiting Asheville for a wedding weekend and decided to stay at the L&R. Lovely and quaint. Lisa and Madelyn are perfect hosts who serve a killer breakfast! We really appreciated the coffee outside our door each morning, food pantry with water/tea/coffee/snacks, and incredibly comfortable bed in the Margaret-Grace room. Easy walk to downtown - at a much better... More

Loved every minute of our stay at this BB. The room was spacious and breathtaking. Loved hanging outside on the patio surrounded by beautiful gardens, great conversations, and a warm fire. Breakfast was delicious. The staff had the attitude of "Welcome Home". We definitely will stay here again and again ❤️❤️❤️

We recently spent two nights at the Lion and Rose and would highly recommend this as a place to stay. We stayed in the Marion Hall room which was a stunning, comfortable and spacious room. Lisa and Madelyn are great hosts, producing a fabulous breakfast each morning as well as early morning tea and coffee for their guests. They also... More

From Antique Shops to Art and Craft shops to excellent Restaurants - we experienced all of them from a centralize location. If you need additional help with things to do, the Tourist Information Center is 3 blocks away. A great way to see Asheville on... More

When planning my second visit to Asheville, I remembered our previous stay 2 years ago and reached out to the new owners, Lisa and Madelyn who met us as soon as we arrived on their wrap around front porch and welcomed us to join them and chat with their other guests. My daughter and I stayed in both the Marion... More

My daughter and I stayed in the Margaret room which was perfect for us. The high bed was comfortable, and the fainting couch was so great for reading that I want one. We only stayed one night but wish we could've stayed longer to explore this home and the town more. The small bathroom provided ample room for us. The... More

We stayed in the 3rd floor suite, which was just lovely. A little balcony was the perfect place to enjoy the afternoon and read. Lisa was a fabulous hostess - showed us around the common areas and then showed us all about our room. Breakfast was incredible both mornings! We had an amazing asparagus and egg "appetizer" on day one... More
