What a wonderful time we had visiting Asheville and the surrounding area, made all the better because we stayed at the Lion and the Rose. We were in the CrIg-Toms suite… very comfortable and cozy! Loved having the gas fireplace, the little private terrace, and the seating areas in the suite. A bonus (because we booked 5 nights) was having our own mini beer keg in the room filled with Steve’s great home brew. Karen and Steve are terrific hosts… very approachable, upbeat, and eager to please or offer tourism advice and suggestions. They added immensely to our overall experience.

My husband and I chose The Lion and the Rose B&B to celebrate our anniversary in Asheville, NC. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this B&B to others. Karen and Steve are very gracious hosts and eager to make your stay pleasant. They delivered coffee to our room each morning which was very much appreciated and they served a delicious breakfast each morning also. They offered recommendations for restaurants and hiking which was very helpful. We stayed in the Craig Tom's Room on the 3rd floor. It is a large room and has a separate bedroom with a king bed and a sitting area with two very comfortable chairs and a TV. This was the perfect room for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Steve and Karen were incredibly kind + thoughtful and took such good care of me as a solo traveler! Room was clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious and the porch was the perfect place to sit, relax, and plan out my Asheville stay. Awesome location, just 5 minutes from downtown Asheville.

My wife and I stayed at the Lion and the Rose Bed and Breakfast on June 23-24th. We stayed in the Margaret-Grace Room. This was our second stay at the Lion and the Rose. Highlights are the close proximity to downtown Asheville, the great breakfasts and a chance to sample their homemade beer! The room was nice and decorated in the Victorian style of the house.
