My boyfriend and I stayed in the Margaret Rose room- it was very nice and comfortable (but the bathroom is on the smaller side) Breakfast was delicious! I loved the coffee available in the hallway - nice to enjoy while getting ready. We missed breakfast one morning for an early hike and Lisa was kind enough to leave us bags... More

Great place to stay in Asheville. Indoor and outdoor spaces are great. Food was excellent and Lisa was a help with all the sights of the city. The place is located well and in a great neighborhood. Super clean and comfortable.

This was our 2nd time staying at the Lion and the Rose and it was just as great as our first time. Lisa is so friendly and personable as well as her daughter Madelyn. They make you feel welcome right away. Lisa even remembered us from our first visit in March and this 2nd time was September. We had a... More

This inn deserves all the accolades. Great location on a beautiful residential street, spacious and comfortable room with all the finest touches, delicious breakfasts, a warm welcome each time we returned from a day's activities. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed here two nights in both the Nielson room and the Craig-Toms Suite. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. The Suite is a much larger space, featuring three separate sitting areas and the bedroom, plus a little balcony that is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee. We enjoyed some drinks by the fire pit... More

Extremely clean, extremely friendly and helpful Innkeeper, and delicious breakfasts! Beautiful setting, and easy walk to various parts of the city. Would stay there again if we are in the area! Beautiful porch and yard to relax

Located close to downtown but in a quiet historic neighborhood, The Lion and the Rose B&B is a perfect location for a visit to Asheville. Innkeeper Lisa is a welcoming host and a ready source of information on food and drinks. We were treated to two gourmet breakfasts and her Southern Benedict was outstanding. The house is comfortable, clean and... More

Lisa and Madelyne, mother and daughter, team up to provide a warm and welcoming stay at their B & B. Their home is located with blocks of several excellent restaurants. They served a delicious 3 course breakfast each morning. We slept very comfortably (our bed had a brand new mattress).

We had a wonderful stay at the inn. The top floor suite was lovely, the bed comfortable, and the hosts as friendly as can be. The Inn is walkable from downtown, about 20 minutes, but we had a car anyway - on-site parking, and probably 3 minutes to downtown by car. Can't recommend the Lion and the Rose enough, and... More

Steve the inn keeper was amazing! He was there watching over the Inn while the owners were out of town. He is a great Chef and is very personable at the same time. The Inn it self is well kept for being built in 1889. The room and property was very comfortable also. This was our first anniversary and the... More
