The Cedar Crest Inn is a bed and breakfast in Asheville, NC, that, going on 34 years in business is the longest running Asheville B&B. Feel free to read our many positive TripAdvisor reviews - we offer a safe, clean, convenient and an overall fun place to be - and this definitely shows in our stellar TripAdvisor reviews. Asheville, North Carolina has a lot to offer its' visitors. This city has incredible restaurants, a lifetime of outdoor activities, has been named Beer City USA 3 years running, and of course more arts and crafts than one could ever dream of. The great news our BnB boasts the best location to all there is to offer in this beautiful and vibrant city. Our Asheville B&B is on a meticulously manicured 3+ acre property located just three blocks from the entrance of the Biltmore Estate and the famous shopping and restaurants at Biltmore Village. After a five-hour drive, this B&B was heaven. Cedar Crest sent multiple reminders as the reservation neared, and the only part of the property that is temporarily unavailable is a balcony (B&B ensured we were aware prior). It was no problem for us. The shared entry spaces are accommodating and welcoming. There’s a cozy side parlor with fireplace to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee or work on the laptop. Holiday decorations are tasteful and beautiful. Breakfast is excellent with very nice views and a lovely dining area - spacious. Our room was comfy and everything we needed. We will be back and recommend. Oh, and of utmost importance: staff are great. Check out this gem! Oh… nice little wine happy hour in the afternoons.

Great location. Fantastic breakfasts and the quiet ambiance you wish filled every day. We stayed in the carriage house: a tastefully decorated yet highly functional separate building from the main house. Our bedroom (2) was cozy yet spacious and the common area a homey combo of quiet and serenity. Our common kitchen was easily accessed and our room quiet. None of this matters if the staff doesn’t get it…but this staff does. They are attentive but not intrusive. The food was beautifully presented but the taste more beautiful. Good coffee, fresh fruit and local suppliers make this place a genuine keeper. No place is perfect, but some people are..at least some of the time. And this staff gets an A+.

We splurged on this historical home and glad we did. Excellent service, very nice rooms. We stayed in Serenity Suite in lower level - wonderful!! Fireplace, coffee pot, nicely appointed. Note: there are stairs to get into the house.

There were a few issues with our stay-the fireplace wasn’t working and the room wasn’t cleaned, to name a couple. We even had to go down to the main house ourselves to get fresh towels and extra toilet paper! Not sure if they could do anything about the shower alternating at random from ice cold to scalding hot. The place was nicely decorated and comfortable. Location was great as well. The daily breakfast was very good, and they accommodated friends with dietary restrictions.

Jill, We apologize again for the issues you ran into during your time with us. We do have it posted on our room description that the fireplace in Guest Cottage Room 2 is non operational, but we apologize that we were unable to have it repaired during your stay. Things do get missed during our busy season on occasion, but a quick call or text down to the main inn and we would have gladly assisted you with anything you needed, such as towels or cleaning. We do our very best to accommodate all of our guests and truly apologize for housekeeping missing your room. We hope you were able to enjoy your stay, despite these errors. Thank you for choosing us for your accommodations and have a great weekend.

They are in violation of service dog laws. No PET fees should be charged for service dogs, its against federal law. Homeless banging on cottage door at night asking for blankets., homeless screamed at us eating dinner 2 blocks away bear in yard that night. No change provided for cash payment. Host is nice but not worth the money not a safe environment.

Hi there. We did refund your pet fee on 11/9/2022 and apologize for the issues with this. Our staff was not aware this was a service dog until check-in, and they have since all been trained on the laws regarding service dogs. We do apologize for any issues you experienced with strangers on our property during your stay. This was a onetime occurrence and we have since installed extra cameras around the property due to this situation. As for the cash, we do not typically accept cash at all and apologize that we did not have the $6 to give you for your change. I have made sure this is in our policies to avoid any issues in the future. Have a great weekend.

Wonderful B&B. I hate to give them 5 stars as it will be harder to get reservations. But such a charming, well maintained, old world craftsmanship house needs to be appreciated by others. Close to downtown. Very good and accommodating breakfast. The fireplaces are phenomenal and felt great on the cool evening and morning. Sue was very helpful on check in.

Cedar crest inn was an amazing place to stay. We enjoyed our time and had great accommodations we could not have asked for a better experience. The staff was friendly, the house was welcoming, and the room was well kept with lots of space. My girlfriend and I would 100% stay here again on every visit we have to Asheville.

It’s a beautiful old house with a rich history. My husband and I stayed in the William Breese suite for one night. Keep in mind the bathroom is small, which is common in these older homes, but the room is spacious. We wanted the experience of a B&B knowing we would be coming from a day spent touring the Biltmore Estate. The staff was great. We enjoyed the wine social and meeting a couple, Joe and Ellen, while sitting in the beautiful living room. That’s the beauty of a B&B, getting the chance to meet other travelers and hearing their stories. Joe and Ellen were a delight! We slept well and came down in the morning to a roaring fire, as it had turned cold that night, and the smell of delicious food being prepared. The coffee was very good and the breakfast was fantastic. Great service and a wonderful addition to our stay in historic Asheville. It’s also just about a five minute drive to downtown Asheville with lots of restaurants and local flair. As we came down the back driveway of the house, we drove by a historic graveyard where we saw four black bears foraging around. That was a surprise! Apparently they are fairly common to the area.

Thank you, Cindy! This review is so helpful for future potential guests. We appreciate you being so understanding with the size of the bathroom. As you said, it is very common in older homes. We love our visits from the black bears and are so glad you were able to experience that with us. Have a great weekend!

House was very well kept and clean. Breakfast was somewhat disorganized as there was only one choice unless asked for night before and even then it might not be provided. Staff was not overly friendly. Bathroom was phone booth sized, but did work well. Driveway was a bit challenging. Probably would not stay second time. House is in need of mechanical updating and repair.

Hi there. Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback on your stay with us. Sorry to hear that you had difficulties with breakfast. While we do have a set menu every day, we are more than happy to accommodate with other options. The breakfast tents cards are incredibly helpful for us to know who we are serving when there are special requests, so we do apologize if you asked for something specific and the morning shift wasn't aware that it was you who had asked. We would love to have you back with us if you ever change your mind. Thank you for choosing us for your accommodations and have a great week ahead!
