We stayed here for three nights on our first ever trip to Asheville, and Applewood was definitely one of the highlights of our trip overall. The place is incredibly charming, and our room was beautifully decorated and very clean. Will stay here on our next visit to Asheville without question.

Rooms were clean, private, and very comfortable, the manor is a very cool large old mansion with a greenhouse out back. We had a porch attached to our room that was nice to have. Breakfast was good and snacks/tea are available to take during the day. The location is close to downtown and you can walk almost anywhere. There is a nearby botanical garden that you can walk to via a paved trail at the bottom of the hill. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed in the Winsap Suite for 3 nights and it was perfect. Large and comfortable sitting and dressing areas. Small fireplace and shower and tubLarge bathroom with 2 sinks and vanity area. Great location with delicious breakfast. The other guests were couples in their 20’s to 70’s. All were delightful. Great restaurant and corner market within walking distance. $7.00 Uber ride downtown. 15 minutes to the Biltmore. Will come and stay again.

Not only is the Applewood Manor convenient to everything we wanted to do in Asheville, the inn is decorated with fascinating pieces from the innkeepers' personal collections. Staying in the Macintosh suite was the perfect choice for us, made easy by the accurate descriptions on the website. We wish we could have stayed a few more nights in that perfect bed or enjoyed a few more scrumptious breakfasts or had a few more interesting conversations with Chase. Guess we'll just have to return soon...

My wife and I had a wonderful time! It was warm and inviting. Our room was fantastic. The bed was comfortable and the small fireplace in the room was used everyday, as were the cozy, Applewood Manor embroidered bath robes provided in the closet. Chase and AJ were wonderful hosts and the breakfast every morning was excellent. We even turned down a friends’ request to meet for breakfast because we wanted to eat at our place. I have already highly recommended this place to several friends and we can’t wait to go back!
