I reviewed this place negatively in 2013, as there was no hot water, and, after seeing our review the owners sent us a letter offering us a free weekend there. We held off for four years but finally went back two months ago. We presented them the letter and they said they'd refund our booking fee. However, later on they...

The staff is wonderful and go out of their way to be helpful. The house was built in 1909, so expect creaky floors. If someone is staying above you, don't expect to sleep much. Also, there is a "house cat." For many this might be not be a problem but as someone who is allergic to cats, I would have...

Thank you for your review. We are glad that you appreciated our staff, and the breakfasts. We are very sorry that you had an uncomfortable stay. We do have a note about Simon, our resident cat, on our website- as well as informing guests about him in our confirmation letter. We also post pictures of him on our Facebook page...

A fabulously comfortable, well-appointed room with every detail addressed, and a delicious, perfectly prepared breakfast are the hallmarks of this highly rated inn. In Asheville, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Warmest thanks for another excellent experience!

My wife and I, just stayed 3 nights for our honeymoon. Couldn't have ask for any better. This place is beautiful, and well maintained. You feel like you've got the entire house to yourself. Much better than any hotel I've ever stayed in. Quiet, old southern charm, with great amenities. The staff is top notch, they are very professional, and...

I'm reviewing a past stay that was actually March of 2015. I adored my stay here. I am very honest, so though I think my stay here was exceptional, I will explain the things I wasn't so keen about. I chose my room, I believe it was the Ribbons and Roses room. It was clean, warm and inviting, comfortable, and...

We just returned from a fabulous long weekend (and elopement!) at the Albemarle Inn. Where do I start? First, let me start by saying I am not usually a bed and breakfast type. Or at least I didn't think I was! But now I'm a convert. From the communication before our stay all the way through checkout, things were so...

My husband surprised me with a little weekend getaway for my birthday. Albemarle is a quaint, B&B close to downtown and the Biltmore. They are Experts in attention to detail and service. Sarah was a huge help and Rebecca did a fantastic job making sure we didn't need anything during our stay. We had a lovely lady that served us...

We stayed here for my brother's wedding which was held at the nearby Grove Park Inn. The inn was beautiful and the food delicious. Though our experience was over-shadowed by the male inn-keepers unpleasant demeanor. We were made to feel uncomfortable and not welcome as we were shushed and received eye rolls on multiple occasions. This was very unnecessary given...

It is too bad that you felt this way. As was discussed with your parents during the months in which we held the rooms for your family prior to the wedding, if they booked the whole Inn, then you could socialize in the common areas as much, and for as long as you all wanted throughout the weekend. However, as...

It was the perfect place for a girlfriend's getaway! We had the only room with two double beds and it was perfect, clean and spacious. The bathroom was on the small side but really just find for us. After all, it is an older home! The breakfast was a treat every morning in the beautiful sunroom! One morning we had...

My wife and I'm had a very nice stay at the Albermarle Inn. The room we had (Shangri La) was very comfortable and cozy. It is probably the smallest room but we had plenty of room. The bathroom is small. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hosts were not overbearing but were friendly and helpful. We...

Thank you for your review of your recent stay with us here at the Albemarle Inn. We are glad that you enjoyed your visit, and were pleased with your room. You are correct- the Shangri-La is our smallest room, and priced as such! We are sorry that you thought our breakfasts were only slightly better than ordinary. Thank you for...
