My husband and I stayed at Albemarle Inn to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed! The location of inn is perfect for accessing downtown and outdoor activities. Neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. The Inn is very well preserved and beautifully decorated. Our room was comfortable and amazingly quiet. There are a couple of idiosyncrasies of an old historic house -bathroom floor slightly sloped and no bathroom fan ( we opened window briefly)- but they did not decrease our comfort. Breakfast was delicious each day! The staff are friendly and welcoming and go to great lengths to make stay pleasant. Inn was easy to find; plenty of space in two gravel parking lots. Would highly recommend for a weekend or middle of the week getaway!
We recently visited the Inn for 3 nights and it was FANTASTIC! We visited Asheville in a girls trip and 4 of us stayed in the Garden Room. It has 2 queen beds and one bath, but was spacious enough for us. The innkeeper and staff were so accommodating to any food allergies or dislikes. The breakfasts were out of this world! They consisted of a 2-course meal with all the tea, coffee and juice you can drink. The breakfasts were served in a sunroom that was just delightful. In addition, they offered wine and cookies around 4:30 every evening. It was so nice to have a glass of wine and enjoy sitting on the terrace. Extra towels and really anything else you needed was readily available. We all highly recommend and all agreed we would stay here again!
We stayed for one night while on a road trip. Beautiful old house, well kept. Staff were very nice. Good local restaurants within walking distance along very pleasant residential roads. We had a ground floor room with a disconcertingly large sliding door which opened directly on to the main public area. It was a lovely room, however the bed is too large for the room and consequently awkwardly place. There were no bedside lights. The shower room was fine. The complimentary breakfast was beautifully cooked but was a set meal. There was no alternative choice offered. The free wine served early evening was a pleasant surprise and very welcome.
We absolutely loved this Inn. The decor and furnishings were lovely and the bed was so comfortable! Fresh flowers throughout the house were a wonderful touch and we loved the original woodwork in the house. The staff was friendly and helpful and assisted us in finding shopping and dinner restaurants in the area. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. We will be back!
Our first B&B and it was fabulous! It was such a beautiful historic place that was very clean and inviting. The breakfast was delicious and so was the coffee! The grounds were so well kept and pretty! Perfect location too!!
Lovely place and a really comfy bed. Quiet settings and a great yard to sit out in. The breakfast was tasty and just the right amount. It felt like traditional southern hospitality. Well worth the stay.
Lovely Bed & Breakfast. In quiet neighborhood near downtown. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the front porch in the cool evening. Our room was nice size with plenty of sitting areas. Breakfast was wonderful. The host helped us with dinner reservations and other suggestions. Will definitely be coming back!
Never to leave... My husband and I had the most gracious, lovely experience staying at the Albermarle Inn in the historic, singular Grove Park District of Asheville. You can anticipate a staff of the loveliest hosts with a magnificent, calm inn from the turn of the century. There's a sumptuous breakfast daily with consideration to any dietary needs. The staff take personal interest in what else they can do for you. Time on their high-ceilinged eranda is like noneother -- Listen for birdsong. Thank you to Cheryl, Shannon, Sarah and Lori for a stay anyone could only imagine. Five stars.
My wife and I stayed here for two nights at the beginning of a trip to Western North Carolina. The property is lovely--we spent some time sitting on the veranda during a gentle rain listening to birds. Our room was very nice with a very comfortable bed, lots of space, and a great shower. The breakfasts were very good, a tasty and attractive starter followed by hash and eggs and waffles when we were there. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The location is pretty close to restaurants, drug stores, and Downtown Asheville.
Have been to Asheville multiple times. First time staying here. Beautiful property and grounds. Rooms were well appointed and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will absolutely stay at this place on our next trip to or through Asheville. Great breakfast as well.
